Epilogue
Harper
“Close your eyes, Harp.” Kaiden placed his hands on my hips and kissed me, standing me before a closed door on the second floor of our home.
Luckily, our log cabin had four bedrooms so as our family expanded, we didn’t have to move or change too much. One was now our three-year-old daughter, Hailey’s bedroom, and another was our son, Andrew’s nursery, as he was due to arrive any day now.
But this room, tucked away from the other three, that used to be full of gym equipment Kaiden has now moved to the basement, had been off limits for months now. My husband wouldn’t give any hints as to what he was up to in there.
Finally, the day had come. I was only days away from my due date and feeling like a whale, yet Kaiden insisted this would turn my mood around.
“Keep them closed until I say, okay?”
“Okay.” I said even though I wanted to peek so bad. But he had been waiting weeks to surprise me, and I needed to be patient.
I heard the door open.
“Okay, open them.”
As soon as my eyes popped open, Kaiden took my hands in his and walked us into the room, the space now converted into a huge library with shelves upon shelves of books. All romance novels.
“Oh my God, Kaiden! Wow!” I spun around the room and giggled, noticing the ladder and cute romance reader knick knacks among the books on the shelves. “You made me my own library?”
“I know how much you love mine downstairs. I thought you deserved your own. I also set up a little space over here for your knitting.” He showed me a section of the room dedicated to my knitting hobby, and I gasped in delight.
“I…wow…this is…this is so amazing, Kaiden. Thank you!” I threw my arms around him and kissed him over and over. “I love you so much.”
Kaiden rested his hands on my large pregnant belly and kissed me softly and slowly, taking his time in tasting me. “I love you so much, sweetheart.”
I looked around the room once more, so much to see and explore. “I’m never going to leave this room, you know that right?”
Kaiden laughed. “I thought you might say that. You know Hailey is going to have a field day in here.”
“Nope. No kids allowed. This is a mommies only room.”
“No daddies?” Kaiden nuzzled his face in my neck while his hands rubbed my belly.
“Maybe…but only a certain one.”
He nipped at my earlobe. “How about we christen your new library? I mean we have sort of christened every other inch of this place.”
I laughed. “You can’t resist me when I’m pregnant, can you?”
Kaiden’s eyes darkened. “Can I ever resist you?”
“Good point.” I kissed him.
“Now bed over that ladder, sweetheart. I want to bury my hard dick inside your sweet, tight pussy.”
I didn’t hesitate to follow my husband’s commands.
And when he slid inside me moments later, we fell apart together, as we had so many times before.
“I love you, sweetheart.” Kaiden kissed me over and over.
“I love you too.”
