Chapter 14 #2
Whimpering, I continue to rub and roll over my clit, feeling the way my back tingles and my thighs are locking up. His knot slides into place just as I come again, and I feel tears streaming down my face from how intense it is.
Somehow, his hand gets under my body to wrap around my stomach and he bites my shoulder as I pull him into his own release.
He holds me tightly as he shudders and growls through it, his hips continuing to rut his knot inside my pussy. It draws out my own orgasm, leaving me deliciously wrung out as I lay underneath him, breathing hard.
“You’re stuck with me for a little while,” he whispers in my ear, turning while still attached to me.
“I’m okay with that,” I wheeze, my hair sticking to the sweat on my body.
“All mine,” he murmurs, kissing my neck as he spoons me. “I suppose I have to share.”
“Do you?” I ask, feeling loopy after all the orgasms.
“Mmhmm. About that…”
“What did you do?” I tease him. “Are you feeling sorry for them and developing some misbegotten bromance?”
“Did you read my mind?” Tyde chuckles. Since he’s still inside of me and hard as a rock, his cock twitches inside of me as well. His arms hug me even tighter as I shiver. “I don’t know about a bromance, but they would like to take you out to breakfast to talk.”
“I guess,” I murmur, wanting to be an adult about this.
How many times can you be hurt by someone until you have to call it quits for your own sanity?
“Hmm. If they’re assholes, I’ll come pick you up,” he says, throwing his leg over me.
“You’re going to start another round of sex this way,” I breathe, wanting to squirm but loving how it feels to be wrapped in his scent.
“It would serve them right. I know they heard us,” he says.
“Neither of us is quiet,” I giggle, shaking my head. “Why does this have to be so complicated?”
“Their instincts are warring over you,” he says. “At least, that’s what I think this is about.”
“I’m not sure I’m that complicated either,” I grumble, making a small sound of discomfort as Tyde’s knot softens and begins to slip out of me.
“I’m sorry,” he grimaces, his hips pulling back slightly as he holds onto the base of the condom once his knot is free. “Tell them what you want. You’re not a wilting flower, baby. You’ve gone through too damn much to be and come out the other side and service. You’re a fucking survivor, Nova.”
Smiling over my shoulder at that, I push myself up, and his leg falls off my hip as he moves to get rid of the condom.
“I have to wash your sheets,” he muses as I stand.
“Don’t,” I pout, breathing in how good my nest smells with our combined scents. I try to ignore the fact that I can also smell Caleb and Lars faintly, but it’s difficult. “They’ve been changed since my heat. I don’t want to lose your scent.”
“I’m moving in with you,” he blurts out, grabbing my hand and tugging me toward him.
“What?” I ask, wideeyed.
“Just a few nights of sleeping with you, and I don’t want to give it up,” he confesses. “My schedule is fucked, but if I stay with you my commute won’t be as long.”
“I live in a tiny home,” I warn him, warming to the idea. I really like sleeping with him too. It doesn’t matter how fleeting it’s been.
“Don’t care,” he murmurs, cupping my cheek as he kisses me slowly and deeply. “Come shower with me. Maybe I’ll be able to convince you that shower sex is a good idea,”
Grinning against his lips, I have a feeling he may not have to try too hard.
LARS
I’ve been ignoring the sweet sounds of my scent match coming on another alpha’s cock for an obscene amount of time. Even though I came downstairs to escape it, I’d swear that I can still hear it.
“Our omega is a screamer,” Caleb grumbles, taking a sip of coffee.
“That she is,” I smirk, watching as she finally walks into the kitchen.
Her blonde and purple hair is up in space buns, and she’s wearing a long sleeved blue dress over a pair of leggings with boots.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen you wear leggings,” I say, brow raising.
“I forgot to bring her bag from the van upstairs,” Tyde says breathlessly, walking behind Nova.
It’s really hard to keep from glaring at him. He looks sated and happy, something that often happens after sex. Not that I’ve known anything about that for way too long. Oral? Yes, but only during Nova’s heat.
Caleb and I have both been too busy to deal with the messiness of sex, it’s why we agreed to go to Hollis’ dating mixer.
“It’s also really cold today, so this’ll work,” Nova says with a small shrug.
“You look adorable,” I murmur. A small bit of pink heats her cheeks that has nothing to do with makeup, because she’s not wearing any. “Ready to go?”
“Are either of you going to tell me where we’re going?” she asks, putting her phone in the pocket of her dress. Damn, Tyde even bought her a functional outfit.
I can tell it’s not hers because she keeps rubbing her fingers over the fabric.
“You went to town buying things for her,” I tease Tyde.
“I didn’t know what she’d need,” he says with a shrug.
“I usually make my own clothes, but I really like this dress,” Nova says.
“Do you really?” Caleb asks. “Of course you do. That’s amazing.”
“It’s not difficult if you have a pattern or get used to using your sewing machine,” she says, shrugging. “If I can teach Kane, I can teach anyone.”
“You’re full of surprises,” I rasp. That alpha has a soft spot for my girl. Not in any way that’s sexual, but I noticed that he spoke to her at Pack Hayes’ home.
“It was necessary.” Nova doesn’t seem to want to talk about it anymore, so I let it go. Placing my own coffee mug in the sink, I walk over to her.
“How do you feel about fancy pancakes?” I ask, snagging her hand to walk with her toward the door.
“What makes them fancy?” she asks, smirking.
“You’ll see,” Caleb says, grabbing her coat and helping her put it on.
“Okay,” she laughs.
Maybe sex puts her in a really good mood?
“Will I see you before you have to go to work, Tyde?” Nova asks.
“Probably,” he says with a nod. “Are you planning on spending the night here?”
“Not if you’re leaving so early,” she says regretfully. “It’ll feel odd to be here without you.”
“I get it,” he says. “Come say goodbye and have dinner with me. I’ll come see you tomorrow after work.”
I wonder about his statement, but don’t want to get pissed off. I need to keep a calm head, something that I often find difficult to do around Nova.
Once we’re all wearing coats, I escort her outside to our SUV. Caleb turned on the automatic start while we were in the kitchen, which means that it’s toasty warm by the time we get inside.
“How did you sleep?” I ask, putting on my seat belt.
“It was alright,” she murmurs.
I’m not an idiot, I heard her screams and sobs just like Caleb did. My brother gives me a sidelong glance and a swift shake of his head before putting the car into drive.
I leave her to her thoughts as we make the twenty minute drive to a cute boutique restaurant outside of the city. It has really good reviews, and the pancakes looked amazing. I may be rusty at dating and I’ve never courted an omega, but I do know what Hollis likes.
I know damn well they’re different people, but everyone likes good food.
“Do you have any allergies?” I ask, suddenly worried as Caleb pulls in.
“I’m allergic to gluten,” she says, gazing out the window. “This place is cute.”
It’s a cottage that was turned into a restaurant. We made sure to make reservations, though we were told that a weekday didn’t get huge crowds. I’m also glad that I chose this place because they’re known for their gluten free options as well, even for pancakes.
“I didn’t want to drive all the way into the city for breakfast, so figured we’d try something different. They can also make your pancakes in a way that won’t make you sick,” I say, getting out of the vehicle.
Moving toward the back seat, I open her door the rest of the way and hold my hand out to her.
I don’t miss how excited she looks at the thought of being able to eat the food here despite her allergies, and I decide to bake her some treats.
It has to be hard working around that. She shouldn’t have to settle for bland food.
Nova grabs my hand to navigate the high steps of the SUV before letting go to step around me.
Well, we’ll have to work up to her letting me touch her for longer than what’s necessary I suppose.
The sound of doors shutting echoes as Caleb locks the car, and we climb up the stairs to the porch. Opening the cottage door, I allow Nova to go first as we step inside.
The hostess is a cheerful older woman, and she helps us find a seat. Nova looks through her menu, her eyes widening as she looks over it. Doing the same, I smirk as I see that their breakfast is definitely incredible.
“There’s so many choices,” she says. Her stomach growls as she chuckles, and I think about all of the calories she must have burned with Tyde.
I heard them fucking in the shower too. God, I’m such a sucker for punishment.
“Lemon and blueberry pancakes sound really good though,” Nova sighs wistfully.
“They do. I’ll get them too,” I decide with a shrug.
“Yeah?” she asks with a grin.
“I saw them on their website, and it made me want them last night too,” I confess.
A waitress comes over, and I notice that for mid morning, it’s only mildly busy.
“Anyone have any questions?” she asks.
“No, but I think we’re ready to order,” I say, looking over at Nova to go first.
Nova smiles at the waitress and gives her order of gluten free pancakes and a cup of coffee.
“I’ll let the kitchen know to take special care with your food. The plates are huge,” the waitress says. “If you have any left over, I’ll be happy to get you some boxes.”
At first, I almost cringed at her words, but relax at her ending. I’m very sensitive to fat shaming after the shit Hollis’ parents and nannies put her through.
Caleb and I nod and give our orders, and Nova glances curiously at me.
“You got really tense when she was talking, why?”
