Chapter 9
Chapter Nine
The next day, Lottie arrived and was set up before Tilly and Carri arrived. When Rooker carried her sister to her table, Lottie was stunned to see a big bulky wrapping on her ankle and foot.
“Carri? What happened?” she asked her sister before turning to the man with her. “What did you do to my sister?”
Rooker did not answer until he had Carri settled in a chair with her leg resting on a box under her table.
Then he looked at her, his expression serious.
“I didn’t do anything to your sister. She had an accident at the park yesterday and hurt her ankle.
Since I have my own booth to run, and she should stay off her foot as much as possible, I’m asking the two of you to please help her as much as you can today. ”
“Of course,” Lottie said.
She waited until Rooker left before hurrying to her sister. Kneeling beside her sister, she brushed a strand of hair out Carri’s face. “Why didn’t you call me last night?”
Carri looked at her with a tired smile. “Because you were on a date and I didn’t want to interrupt your fun. Plus, Rooker is a doctor and had everything under control. It’s just a sprained ankle, but he wants me to stay off of it as much as possible today.”
Lottie’s heart clenched at the realization that her job of mothering her sisters was over.
Looking at Tilly and then back at Carri, she took a breath and acknowledged they were grown women and no longer needed her.
Especially since it seemed they had both met men who were more than capable of stepping up and caring for them.
Taking a deep breath, she rose with a smile she hoped didn’t look at heartbroken as it felt. “Okay, let’s get your animals out and ready to be claimed.”
The Saturday crowd kept them just as busy as the previous day’s and by the end of it, all Lottie wanted was to get into her comfortable pajamas and crash in front of a Disney movie or two with Molly Moo before falling asleep to rest up for the last day of the convention.
She hoped Travis didn’t mind if she wasn’t as sparkling or interested in sex as she had been the night before.
Every time she glanced across the aisle, Travis seemed to be watching her. His gaze was intent, as if he were able to read her even from that far away and knew she needed a Daddy and not a sexual partner for the evening.
Just before lunch he popped over to buy more lollipops. “Can I Daddy you tonight? At my place?”
Lottie nodded. “That sounds wonderful, but I’ll have to get my bag from the hotel first.”
“We can figure that out tonight,” he said with a smile that had her body loosening and a warm start between her legs.
At the end of the day, Lottie frowned when she saw Carri packing up her booth. She looked done in, but there was still one more day to the convention.
“What are you doing?” she asked as she finished closing down her own booth.
“I’m done. I won’t be coming back tomorrow.”
“But…” Lottie wanted to argue, but understood. Her sister was in pain, exhausted, and needed to be home resting.
Lottie stepped back when Rooker stepped in and offered her a Little day of rest, movies, and snuggles. Lottie approved, not only of the man’s plan, but the man himself. Carri seemed to have found herself a good Daddy.
When Rooker offered to sell her crocheted critters at his store, Lottie had to break in before Carri could simply agree with her man.
“She’ll need to think about it. We’ll also need to see a contract that spells out the details, like sales price, your commission and so forth.”
Carri looked at her with a grateful expression before turning back to her new Daddy. “I’m sorry. She’s the business mind of the family. I’m just the critter maker.”
Rooker frowned, but did not comment on her derogatory statement.
He then looked at Lottie as if he approved of her stepping in to protect her sister.
“I’ll get back to you next week, Miss Business Mind.
For now, though, I’m taking Carri home with me.
Will you need help tomorrow afternoon getting everything packed up and out? ”
Tilly answered as she looked around their expanded space. “Give me a call tomorrow afternoon, Carri. We should know by then if we need help or not.”
The couple agreed and then Carri picked up her bags and Rooker picked her up and they were gone. Once they were alone, Tilly and Lottie stepped into the aisle and tried to figure out how to cover for their sister so she wouldn’t miss out on any sales the next day.
A few minutes later, Carter walked in and suggested they turn the big space into more of a boutique and mix and mingle the critters, the clothes and the candy. It took a few minutes to set it up, but when they finished, it was a totally new and attractive space.
Knowing she was going home with Travis, Lottie handed the SUV keys and her room key to Tilly. Her sister invited Carter to join her at the hotel for the night and a morning buffet. A few minutes later, Lottie was alone and hoping Travis came back from wherever he’d disappeared to.
While she had not been keeping him a secret from her sisters, she also had not openly talked about him, or introduced him.
Mainly because she wasn’t sure what was developing between them, and did not want to get her sisters all excited about a new man in her life if he wasn’t going to be there after the weekend.
She was gathering the belongings she needed for the night when he appeared in front of her table with several large bags in his hands.
“Hey, Lottie-love. Are you ready to head out and be Little?”
“So, ready. So, so ready,” she said, walking through the space to join him in the aisle.
“You’ve done something different with the booth.”
“Carri won’t be coming back tomorrow, but we didn’t want her to lose out, so we’re going to try something different tomorrow. Maybe it will help sell the rest of what we have.”
“Sounds like a plan. But for tonight, your assignment is to stop thinking about the convention, the booth, or anything grown-up. If you can trust me, I’ll take care of everything from now until we come back tomorrow morning.”
Lottie thought about it for a few seconds before she nodded and smiled up at her Daddy. “I’d like that. And I do trust you, Daddy.”
“Good. Then let’s go home.”
Travis could tell Lottie was having a hard time shifting her mindset away from overprotective older sister to that of carefree Little.
By the time they finished eating the dinner they’d picked up on the way home, he thought he had a solution to the problem she probably could not even acknowledge having.
Before he could start what could be an awkward conversation, Lottie laid her fork down, and folded her hands on top of the table.
“Lottie-love, what’s wrong?”
She lifted her gaze to meet his, her gaze looking sad, which made Travis’s heart hurt. “Would you spank me, Daddy? Please?”
His heart clenched at the tears he saw glistening in her eyes. “Would that help you feel better?”
Lottie nodded as she pushed off of her chair and inched her way around the table toward him.
“My tummy feels all yucky and in the past when I felt like this I would go to the club and get a spanking and feel better. I was hoping it would work to help me feel better and maybe help me get into a Little headspace and get rid of all the shit filling up my brain.”
“Watch your language, little girl,” Travis ordered as he pushed his chair back from the table and pulled her to stand between his widespread legs, “Or you’ll be earning a real punishment instead of just help shifting your mindset.”
“Yes, Sir. Sorry, Daddy.”
Travis was impressed she was immediately contrite. “All right then. If you’re ready, strip down and come lay yourself over my lap.”
“Strip down? Naked?”
A squeak escaped as her hands went to the front of her shirt, proving she was on the verge of Little space. She just needed a push to fall into it fully.
“Yes, naked. Like most Daddies, I prefer to give spankings on the bare bottom. And since I’ll be giving you a bath afterward, you might as well get naked now. Saves time and energy later.”
Travis had to fight back a grin as Lottie considered his words for a moment.
“Can I hold Molly Moo while you spank me?” she asked, sounding more and more Little by the minute.
“I think that’s an excellent idea,” Travis said. “Why don’t you go get Molly Moo while I deal with the dishes. You can also strip down before you come back to the kitchen for your spanking. Okay?”
“Yes, Daddy,” Lottie said before hurrying out of the kitchen.
He’d nearly finished rinsing and loading the dishes into the dishwasher when she eased back into the room, naked and hugging her stuffie to her chest.
She inched her way to the chair he’d been sitting on earlier and stood shifting her weight back and forth from one foot to the other.
Once he finished wiping the counter, Travis took his seat. Wrapping his hands around her hips, he positioned her in front of him. Her face and neck were flushed and she stared hard at his throat instead of into his eyes.
“What’s your safeword, Lottie-love?” he asked, keeping his voice low and gentle.
“Red, Daddy.”
“And you understand you can stop this with that one word?”
“Yes, Daddy. I say my safeword and everything stops so we can talk,” she said as if reciting a poem she’d memorized.
“Good girl. Now, I’m not going to require you to count or speak. I want you to just let go of all your yucky feelings and let your Little out. I’m also going to continue until I feel you’ve had enough, unless you use your safeword. Understand?”
“Yes, Daddy,” Lottie whispered.
“All right. Let’s get this done so we can get to the cuddling, your bath and maybe a movie.”
