Chapter 8
Chapter Eight
POLLUX
Edgar steps out the back door of the house, and I fly down to him before he can exit the back gate. Looking up at me, his face twists. “Baby…what are you doing here?”
I know where Nova lives. I’ve been here before. I thought it would be safer for me to come to him this time. I want him to know that he’s worth the risk too.
“You. Safe,” is all I’m able to get out.
“I mean, this is a bigger space for us to share together. Think of all the new possibilities. We can even have dinner by candlelight.”
Smiling, I nod and yank him toward me, eyeing the items he drops to the ground. “What’s that?”
“It’s…you learned new words.”
“Finian. Thought it help on visit.”
Running a hand down my arm, he lowers his face to mine. “He sounds like a really good friend.”
“Yours too.” I look toward Nova’s house.
“Yeah. I guess they’re alright.” Grinning ear to ear, he swipes one of my feathers back. “You’re not too shabby either.”
“That mean good?”
“Yeah. Not too shabby means pretty good.”
Something flies above us and I flinch. “Inside.”
He grabs his bags, pushing one on wheels. “Yeah, that’s a good idea. If I’d known we were staying here, I would’ve brought another—”
His words stop mid-sentence when I pull the Christmas tree from my satchel. “Here. With you and me.”
“So it is.” The corners of his lips lift higher and I follow him through the glass doors. Once inside, he closes and locks the doors, covering the glass with what he calls curtains.
“To give us a little privacy, so I don’t have to be distracted by creepy things crossing through the yard.”
“Privacy is for humans.”
Laughing, he strips out of his shirt and it falls to his feet. “Yeah. I can definitely see it as something that only pertains to us. You don’t mind having others watching me fuck you?”
My breaths stutter. “No one else exists when me and you.”
“When me and you are together,” he corrects.
“Yes.” I step closer and he lifts me in his arms, tossing me onto a large cushion. He jumps on top of me, reaching between my legs and caressing my hole.
“Yeah, I doubt I’d notice anything or anyone else right now either.” His breathing is heavy as he brushes his lips on mine. “I need you so bad right now, pretty birdy.”
“Kiss.” I press his hand tighter between my legs and a sexy growly noise slips from his throat as he slinks down my body.
Lifting my legs over his shoulders, he buries his face between my thighs, eating me out like a starved man.
His tongue shoves its way inside me and he moans against my most sensitive area, the vibration heightening the sensations.
Driving me crazy with his mouth, he kisses there on repeat until I forget how to breathe.
“Come on my tongue, baby. Let me taste it.”
Body spasming, an overwhelming feeling erupts inside me, and the whole room spins as I wet his tongue more with my release.
He slurps and licks, acting as if he can’t get enough, and I swear I could come a second time from the sounds he’s making alone.
They’re so filthy, and my hole twitches, feeling empty when he pulls away.
He shifts onto his knees, yanking down his pants in a hurry and grabbing my thighs, sliding me down until my ass knocks against his knees. Spreading my legs wider, he frees his cock and tugs at it a few times before thrusting all the way inside me in one swift move of our hips.
I moan, rolling my hips with his and wrapping my legs around him to pull him in deeper.
It’s like a fever is coming over me and the only way to cool it down is to keep seeking out his cock.
And I do, digging into his hips, and I rock against him.
Tingles scatter up my spine and goosebumps spread on my skin as I become desensitized.
“Edgar,” I call out, the back of my head rubbing over the small fluffy cushion beneath my head. My muscles tighten, and when he presses his lips to my ear, whispering, “Now let me feel you come on my cock too,” I fucking lose it, letting go right before he does.
Our cum mixes together and I reach between us, sliding my fingers beside his cock to collect it. I lick it off my fingers, moaning, and he matches my sounds.
“Fuck, that’s hot. I hope you do that every damn time from here on out.”
“Every time,” I say. Because that means there will be more, and I’ll always agree to more with him. Kissing me sweetly, he laughs against my lips.
“Fuck, that was…man…”
“Good.”
“Mhm. Good good.” He smiles.
“Very good,” I say, correcting him this time.
Laughing, he kisses me again and rolls us both onto our sides, resting a hand on my hip. We talk about random things. I ask about his day and he asks me about mine.
“Hunt and sleep. Then you.”
“Yeah, you sure did do me,” he muses, winking at me as he tightens our bodies together.
“Weird jokes,” I say, trying to work out what he said in my head and not fully making sense of it.
“I’m a weird guy, so…and you sorta walked into that one.”
I laugh awkwardly, moving to my back to look at the glass window in the ceiling.
“It’s cool that we get to watch the sky from inside.”
“Not much to see.” I rotate my head, eyes zoning in on the small dot in the sky.
“I don’t know. Looks like a lot to me. It’s bright and blue like the skies we used to draw as kids.”
I squint my eyes, looking over at him. “Draw. Like with paint.”
“Or pen or pencil. There’s many ways to draw.”
“Teach me?” Finian had brought back what he called a sketchbook one time. Inside were all the images of painted people and animals. Some were smiling and others looked like they’d seen better days. I could feel each emotion by studying every detail.
“To draw?”
“Paint. Color.”
“Okay…good, because I’m a terrible artist, but I can use a paint brush and I’m good at staying in the lines when I’m coloring in coloring books.”
“You have coloring book?”
“Not with me but . . . wait . . . Nova does. He always used to collect random things he didn’t need. I remember seeing a stack of them on a shelf somewhere.” He moves off the mattress and paces in circles until his eyes land on what he’s looking for.
“Aha. Here they are.” He takes something off the wooden box. “Most of these look like they’ve never even been opened before.” His eyes drift lower and he jumps a little before reaching forward again. There’s a box in his hand seconds later and he brings all his findings over to me.
“Okay, I have all you need to learn to color right here. Too bad they aren’t Christmas themed. I’ll have time to get some of those when I go back home, though. Which reminds me…do you…” He takes a breath. “No…it’s too soon. Maybe I should wait until my next visit to ask you.”
“Ask me.” I sit up, sliding forward until our knees touch.
A muscle jumps in his throat. “I wanted to see…I was wondering…” He inhales deeply before letting out a drawn-out breath, muttering something quietly.
I hold his hand, giving it a light squeeze. “You can ask. Safe.”
His eyes melt into mine. “I do feel safe with you. In fact I feel so much with you that it scares me. It’s so fast. But I don’t want to slow down.”
“Don’t.” My breath hitches and his fingers tangle in mine.
“Will you come share Christmas with me and my friends in the human world?”
My face hardens. “How? No visa.”
“Through the portal in Nova’s house.”
There’s a portal in here. Of course. That’s how he’s getting to me so quickly. It’s what he meant by a short walk away. “I can go?”
“Yeah…my friends are looking forward to meeting you.”
“Okay.” My breaths shorten, my heart galloping at the thought of meeting all the important people in his life.
He wants them to know about me, to take me to his world.
I already feel like he’s brought so much of it to me, and I look forward to experiencing more.
More movies, coloring books, pages with stories, and sweets I have yet to try.
Finian says there’s lots of good food there, and that the rain never hurts you unless there’s golden sparks in the sky, called lightning.
“Great. They’re going to love you…well, you and Nova already know each other.”
Right, Nova will be there. He’s engaged to Edgar’s best friend and this is his house. Why do I keep forgetting? “Yeah, I like Nova.”
“You’re getting better at saying full sentences. Finian’s a good teacher.”
“You and the movies too.”
“I’m glad to see someone’s actually learning something from me that’s useful.”
“Lots useful,” I say, rubbing at the bulge in his underwear. When did he even put those back on?
“You mean I’m useful at a lot of things…which some would beg to differ. Except Franky would agree that I’m useful at clearing a fridge and table quickly.”
“Food is very good.”
“Yeah. It is. You are too.” He nibbles at my bottom lip, pressing my hand tighter to his lap. “I just want you all the time. Even when you’re right in front of me. It’s like I can’t get enough.”
“Don’t stop.” I lick my way into his mouth and he tugs at my hair, dragging me into his lap.
“You ready to eat something? Franky’s making his famous spaghetti. Although I think it’s only famous in his house.”
Wrapping my arms around him, I nod. “Hungry. Human food.”
“Yeah, human food is one of the best things about our world.”
“Human food and Edgar.”
“You only say that because you only know one person from there. You might change your mind after meeting others.”
My head sways from side to side, my lips brushing over his. “No others. Don’t want others. Want you.”
“I want you too, and you’re the best thing I’ve ever come across here. I don’t feel like I even need to see or taste anything else after you.”
“Monster world food good too.”
“I’m sure it is, but I’d still rather have something else keeping my mouth busy when I visit here.”
Heat explodes in the space between my thighs and I roll my hips.
“Food first and then more of this. I can tell I’ll need more energy to keep up with you.”
“Energy plants. Outside.”
