Chapter 7
Seven
I turned around and picked up my pants. “Make this quick.”
“If I’m going to give you information, then I need something from you.”
“You want a joss coin?”
She shook her head. “No. My request is actually much simpler.” After plopping herself onto the bed, she crossed one leg over the other. “You.”
Of course. I had given her an inch, and now she wanted the whole fucking world.
Eros clenched his jaw and walked to the door. “I’ll leave you to it.”
He walked out and nearly slammed the door behind him. I groaned and readjusted myself.
“I told you that I’m done with you, Emerald.”
“My name is Everi.”
“Does it matter?” I asked. “Now, what do you really want?”
“I already told you.” She pouted her lips, imitating Dani from earlier. “I want you.”
She gazed at my cock, still hard through my pants. I swore, next time Eros left me like this, he would pay for it.
I rubbed my temple. She’s just someone from Envy, Lucifer. It’s not like she’s ugly, like the demons from Wrath.
“Give me the information, and I’ll fuck you, if that’s what you want.”
She crossed her arms over her chest, but her lips curled into a smile. “I don’t want to fuck. I want to be your queen.”
I scoffed. “My queen?”
Her kind would never rule my kingdom.
She nodded her head like this was a simple request. “Your queen.”
“I doubt the information is that important.”
She hopped off of the bed and stalked over to me. “They’re plotting to take over your kingdom.”
I stared at her, brow raised. “Your point? You Envies are always trying to take what other people have.”
“Their little group has stolen more from the kingdoms than everyone else in Envy put together.”
I walked over to the half-finished bottle of Vemon on the dresser and put it to my lips. Times like this called for alcohol—and lots of it.
“They can go ahead and try.” I winked. “Wish them luck for me, why don’t you?”
She smacked her lips together. Those eyes were gleaming green. “They will use the Crucifix.”
I clenched my jaw, my muscles tensing. This woman didn’t even know the first thing about the Crucifix, and here she was, trying to intimidate me with it.
“Fine.”
“Fine?” She narrowed her eyes. “What’s the catch?”
I leaned against the dresser and flashed her half a smirk. “There is no catch. If you wish to have all of this, then I will give you everything that comes with this kingdom, even me.”
“How do I know you’re not lying?”
I chuckled lowly and placed the bottle down. Slowly, I walked toward her. “I always keep my promises, Emeral.”
She clenched her jaw. “It’s Everi.”
“Everi, My Queen. I apologize.”
Envies weren’t the smartest in all of the kingdoms. Those were the demons from Pride, of course. But they were damn good at sniffing out the shit they wanted. She’d be able to get me whatever I needed, whenever I needed it. And the promise of my kingdom would motivate her.
She smiled. “Show me.”
If she wanted all of me, she would get all of me, but not before I pumped her for information.
So, I pushed her into the side of the bed, yanked up her skirt and down my pants, and then thrust into her. I closed my eyes, trying to picture Dani under me. My claws digging into her hips, pulling her ass closer and closer to me with each thrust, her wet pussy pulsing around my cock.
I gazed down at Everi’s ass, watching it bounce. It was nothing like Dani’s.
If Dani were here, she would do all the work if I wanted her to. She would be bouncing on me, her pussy so damn tight, squeezing the fucking life out of me. I swore under my breath.
“That good, right?” Everi said.
I pulled on her hair and slapped a hand over her mouth. She probably thought it was kinky; I thought she was ruining the moment. She was going to regret wanting me to fuck her, wanting me to give her everything, because I was going to make her beg me to stop.
She lived in envy, and she would die from envy.
I didn’t stop when she pleaded for me to slow down. I didn’t stop when her legs shook uncontrollably. I didn’t stop until I finished all over her ass.
She giggled and fell back onto the bed. I pulled up my pants, wishing that Eros—and Dani—had stayed with me so I wouldn’t have had to do her.
Eros’s shirt was still on the bed, and now Everi was sinking into it, smelling his scent and souring those ugly eyes. She shrugged on his shirt, but I tugged it off of her.
“That’s not yours.”
She laughed. “Everything in this kingdom is now mine, isn’t it?”
I snatched her chin in my hand, locking on to her gaze and making her unable to resist staring into my blackening eyes. “You want to tell me everything you know about those Envies,” I insinuated.
“Lucifer,” she said quietly.
“You want to tell me, Everi, because you want this kingdom.”
Her eyes dulled, completely entranced. “They stole from you.”
“What did they steal?”
“I-I don’t know.”
I scoffed and pushed her away. “And you want to be queen. You don’t even know what they stole? This kingdom comes with a price, and that price is information. Can you find that for me, Everi?”
“I will do anything to be queen.” She nodded and walked out of the room.
I took another swig of the Vemon. Idiot.
