Chapter 24
Twenty-Four
I shut their bedroom door behind me and Eros. “Do you not trust Dani?”
Eros stood near his dresser, slowly undoing his watch. His gaze lifted to mine briefly, eyes dark. “I trust Dani.” He glanced back down at his watch and placed it near Dani’s jewelry. “I don’t trust Tonia … or myself alone with you.” His voice was low.
One by one, he unbuttoned his shirt and let it hang loosely on his shoulders.
My gaze traveled up his body, from his hips to his abdomen to his chest. All muscle—muscle that I had felt so many times before, muscle that I wanted to feel so many times again.
When my eyes fell upon that scar on his chest—a scar so small—I smiled.
I stepped closer to him, buzzing with pride.
“You shouldn’t.” Another step. “You try so hard to resist me, you try so hard to stop us from happening, but …” I unbuttoned my shirt and pulled it apart for him to see the scar that lay across my heart.
“You have never been able to resist me. This love bite”—my fingers grazed across the scar—“ties you to me.”
Eros had given me the scar on the first night that we spent together. After healing for centuries, it was barely noticeable now. Just a shiny white line across my skin.
His eyes darkened.
I remembered those nights we used to spend under Raphaela’s apple trees, the ones that she never picked from. Complicated as they had been, those nights had been some of the best in Heaven.
I took another step toward him and trailed my hand down his scar.
My fingers brushed down the front of his abdomen slowly, making him tense, and slipped into his pants.
He groaned softly as I stroked him, not stopping me this time, not even stopping me when the door opened and Dani walked into the room.
Instead, he moaned louder when she wrapped her hands around his torso from behind and reached inside his pants too.
She wrapped her hand around mine, stood on her toes, and leaned closer to him. “Let’s go out.”
“Out?” I asked.
Eros smirked and looked at me. “Out, Lucifer, to a bar. Have a drink.”
Without even walking to the portal room, Dani opened one to the humansphere.
When we got to the other side, it was dark, probably midnight.
Dani led us through the streets of her former city to a bar.
There were people spilling out of the bar, some were smoking on the sidewalks, and others were waiting to get in.
Dani walked right in. The bouncer let her pass with ease.
“These two with you?” he asked her.
She nodded and made a beeline for the bar. There were two seats at the very end of the wraparound bar. The darkest corner of the bar, of course.
With so many people around, I didn’t know why Dani had brought us here. She pushed Eros down on one chair and me on the other and leaned back against me, staring at Eros.
“Three vodkas with Passion,” she called to the bartender.
I raised a brow at the exchange between the commander of Lust and a very average human. From what I thought, these human bars didn’t sell Passion Delights, but when he slid three across the bar, I could smell the Passion in it.
A man came over with a large smile on his face. He looked oddly familiar. “Dani,” he said. He smelled like the Chains.
“Trevon,” she said, pressing her breasts against my shoulder. “You know Eros,” she said. One of her hands slid down my side and slipped under my shirt. “This”—she gazed at me from the side—“is Lucifer.”
Trevon widened his eyes and gazed over at me. “Lucifer,” he repeated.
I smirked at her. “He knows of me?”
“Everyone knows of you,” she said.
Eros smirked, watching Dani slide her hand into my pants without Trevon noticing. My gaze lingered on his, my cock hardening.
Trevon held out his hand. “I’m Dani’s ex-boyfriend.”
I tipped my drink. “I’m Dani’s new boyfriend.”
Trevon gazed between us all, brows furrowing. “I thought …”
Dani gave him a wide smile as her hand moved up and down my length. Eros pressed a hand against the front of his pants, stroking himself slightly.
“I like what you did with the bar. Vodka with Passion.” Dani winked, unzippered my pants, and sat on my lap. The things Lusts could do right in front of a human. “Glad you took my suggestion. You’re getting many more customers.”
She sat right on my cock, her wet pussy gliding over it, teasing it, teasing me. She slid down on it, and I gripped my drink.
Trevon smiled widely back at her, eyes soft, wanting, loving.
Dani nodded her head and clenched herself around me. “How have you been doing?” Her voice was softer.
I leaned my head against the back of hers and cursed under my breath.
I gripped her hips, thrusting mine up into hers just enough.
“Better, Dani.” He nodded his head. “Much bett—”
“Trevon!” a woman yelled from the offices. “I need your help!”
“Too bad we couldn’t catch up more. Maybe later.”
Eros grabbed his shoulders, squeezed slightly, and leaned close to him. “I don’t think so. We have a long night planned for us.”
