Omari Haru #3
Haru filled Adrian, shoving his full length into him.
As soon as he was completely seated, Adrian leaned up and caught his arm.
He pulled Haru close, their mouths eating at each other while Haru’s hips moved.
There was no stopping it. He thrust, chasing the ecstasy that was just beyond his grasp.
Adrian whimpered and begged, their lips still crushed together.
Beneath Haru, Adrian’s hips lifted, meeting him thrust for thrust. Their bodies slapped together, and the bed creaked but held together.
As he felt his control slipping on his orgasm, Haru worked a hand between their bodies and captured Adrian’s leaking cock.
He stroked it. Adrian shouted, his channel tightening around Haru’s dick seconds before Adrian came.
His hot spend covered Haru’s hand, sending him tipping over the edge after his lover.
Haru released Adrian’s cock and collapsed on top of him so that he had a new reason to need a bath.
“I wonder if this is what Nori had in mind when he asked me to take care of you,” Adrian mumbled into Haru’s shoulder.
Haru grinned into the comforter that was now soiled with their sweat and cum. “Probably not, but I’m sure he knew that this was what I intended.”
“And you’re sure he won’t be upset that you’ve involved yourself with a very ordinary human?”
Haru shifted his position enough to be lying partially on Adrian, with his body still buried deep inside the man, while resting part of his side on the mattress.
He balanced on his elbow and dropped his head into his open palm.
“No, he will not be upset. My uncle likes you. He sees how you respect our people and our culture. He can see how you care for me. That is all that matters to him. But,” Haru paused and held up one finger, “my uncle is also wise and knows me well. He’s aware that I don’t give one damn about his opinion when it comes to my mate.
If he does not approve, I shall leave and never return. ”
While he said the words confidently, there was no denying the sliver of pain that sliced through his heart at the same time.
He’d always considered himself a free spirit, very independent, but he was also devoted to his clan.
To not have his clan, to not have the family that had surrounded him for hundreds of years, was overwhelming.
Just that tiny slip was enough to send Yesuntei’s powers exploding within him, breaking out of the cocoon he’d wrapped them in. Dark whispers crowded his mind, speaking of doubts and conspiracies. But it was Adrian’s hard, annoyed words that rose above them all.
“You can’t leave your clan, Haru. I’d never let you.”
Haru blinked and said a bit petulantly, “Drayce has.”
Adrian rolled his eyes and gave the top of Haru’s head a whack. “You’re not Drayce. Also, Drayce is a very special, complicated case that isn’t normal in the slightest.”
“But—”
The rest of Haru’s argument never left his tongue. The words became lodged in his throat at Adrian’s stern glare.
“Enough. We’re not talking about the future—yours, mine, or ours—until we get a few things settled. Starting with getting Yesuntei’s powers out of you. After we deal with that and stop the lunatic in Damardor, maybe we’ll talk about things.”
Haru’s heart skipped a beat, and he grinned at Adrian. “Things?”
“Yeah.”
“Like?”
Somehow Adrian’s glare grew even more ominous. If he hadn’t still been buried deep inside Adrian, the human might have punched him. Hell, there was a good chance Adrian would do it anyway, regardless of how they were connected.
“Like us and the future.”
“Very good.” Haru stole a kiss prior to pulling free from Adrian.
They cleaned themselves and the floor, sopping up all the puddles. They dressed in some light sleep clothes for bed. It might have been summer, but the temperatures were much cooler on the Isle of Stone. However, Haru paused as they were pulling aside the sheets to climb into bed.
“Adrian, you know I want nothing more than to sleep with you,” Haru began.
Adrian snorted. “You want a hell of a lot more than sleeping with me, and we both know it.”
Haru’s lips trembled for a flash, but fell into a frown. “It might be best if you return to your room. There will be nightmares. My control over those powers isn’t as strong during sleep. I don’t wish for you to suffer.”
Adrian grabbed the blanket, pulled it back, and climbed into the bed with a loud, weary sigh.
“Haru, I’ve been having nightmares nonstop since you flew away from Bellcairn.
Nightmares suck, but they’re not going to scare me away.
All I want is to hold you and for you to know that you’re safe in my arms. Now get in the damn bed. ”
Haru laughed. He slid in next to Adrian and wrapped his arms around him.
He settled close enough that they were using the same pillow, but Adrian didn’t utter a single sound of complaint.
Sleep came, and so did the nightmares. But they didn’t seem as bad as before because through all of them, Adrian was right there holding his hands.
