Chapter 36 Full Moon #2

“You can’t just eat cheese. Why don’t you go to the multi-purpose room and get yourself some real food from the buffet we have there? I think that’ll make you feel better. They have hot chocolate, too.”

He perks up a little. “Yeah, I’ll do that. Everyone in there is doing really well, by the way. You always put together such good events, Cadi. Everyone has been partnering up without drama. All the work you put into this shelter really shows.”

My cheeks flush pink.

“Thanks, Jamie.”

Jamie nods towards Oscar.

“And thanks, Dr. Soto, for stepping in. We almost needed to cancel if we couldn’t find someone to replace Dr. Zheng.

” Oscar nods his head in thanks. I almost expected him to boast about his reputation or that he is so great for volunteering.

But he’s humble. I’m inclined to think Oscar is the perfect man at this point.

Jamie then adds, “I would be careful about going into the room. I’m no omega expert, but it’s a good thing most of the volunteers are betas.

We lost Emma to the frenzy. She’s in there with Ping.

The full moon mixed with your careful vetting has resulted in quite an intoxicating orgy. ”

He smiles at us both and then leaves to eat something other than cheese.

I take a deep breath, knowing I’ll need enough oxygen in order to tell Oscar this.

“I have to go in there to check to make sure everyone is ok. I’ll be back.”

“I’ll go with you,” Oscar volunteers.

Hm. Is that a good idea? I’m not sure if this man I’m definitely attracted to, who just made me a courting offer, and I should walk into an orgy together.

I look at him skeptically.

“As a doctor. Unless you want me to go in there as your alpha. I can do that.”

Oh, I love a plain speaking alpha.

“I’m going in there as someone running this event, making sure everyone is doing well. Since they are my responsibility. You can go in there however you want.”

As I’m talking, I’m removing my shoes and putting them against the wall. There are duffel bags, each person brought lining the hallway. But most of the shoes are against this wall.

I’m trying to get funding for a nice locker room. That’ll come in time.

Oscar takes his shoes off as well. I nod at some of the volunteers as I walk toward the double doors.

We’ve kept the lighting in this hall low, so the transition from here into the room isn’t so intense.

I open the door, and Oscar takes it from me so I can let go and walk in first. I step in and the first I notice is the smells.

It’s intoxicating. It speaks to that primal part of myself. It’s begging for me to join in.

Then the sounds. A chorus of fucking.

My eyes are still adjusting. Oscar closes the door behind us. I haven’t moved an inch, so Oscar reaches down and holds my hand. Our fingers interlace. We wait together until things start becoming clearer. I’m so surprised he can keep himself together in the melee.

I can barely keep it together. And I’ve done this before.

I know we have eleven omegas, and I guess Emma, too now.

I take a deep breath to calm my nerves and head in.

The middle of the room has different couch shapes and options, and I find four omegas with their partners splayed across the forms. They are getting fucked from behind.

Getting eaten out. Riding their partners from on top.

I try to make eye contact with the more coherent ones, asking with no sound if they are ok. I get nods all around. I’m still holding fast to Oscar’s hand. We walk to each private alcove as I count in my head. Oscar looks, too, but with an impassive, professional gaze. Ensuring they are ok.

Eleven omegas and one Emma later, we find an empty alcove. It feels serendipitous.

Oscar looks at me, and in the hazy dark room, I can see the look of lust fill his eyes.

Would it be so bad, I think, to use this room?

None of the volunteers would judge me. I’m not needed anywhere in particular.

If I am needed, any of the other volunteers can cover for me for a bit.

We have a whole team of security outside this building, ensuring we are safe. And I’d like to get to know Oscar.

Ok, and I am horny as a freight train.

Oscar takes the first step into the alcove, and I follow him inside.

There are noise dampening materials on the walls, so it’s quiet within here.

There are little orange lights on the wall, so I can see him a little better.

He sits me on a half-moon couch. He goes down on one knee in front of me.

We are so close. I lean in even closer to him.

“Acadia, I have to tell you some things.”

“Ok,” I say, and then he takes my hands. I also have things I need to tell him.

I need to tell him about Mads. And Kol. I don’t know if I can give them up. I need to tell him how the Whitehorse pack affected me so much. I need to tell him I am technically still enrolled in the Institute, and I need to close that loop with them.

He needs to know that I am a headstrong omega, who talks a lot, likes to be in charge, and I have to have fun, or I will die. And suddenly, realizing we need to talk for days, I decide I don’t want to talk.

“Wait, no. We can talk tomorrow. It’s the full moon tonight, Oscar.

Can you kiss me and make me feel good tonight?

Everything else can wait for tomorrow. We can tell each other where we are at.

What promises we’ve made to others. The terms of your courting, and my terms, too.

You aren’t going anywhere, right? We can talk about it tomorrow? ”

He doesn’t rush to agree or disagree. He thinks about it. He looks me in the eyes as he thinks about it. I feel so safe with a man who hasn’t already made up his mind, who can think in the moment.

“Tomorrow, mi encantadora omega. Tomorrow we will talk.“ I can tell he would prefer to talk tonight, but is letting me get my way. “My pack will want to meet you. We will talk about the terms together. But I have to warn you, there are things at play here, which require fast courting.”

I tip my head to the side. “You want to be bonded for my next heat?” Alphas sometimes won’t participate in a heat unless they are bonded with the omega. It’s a preference made for many reasons.

“That’s not why. We came to Cash City to find an omega, and we are almost out of time. I am so sorry it took us so long to find you.”

Curiosity almost wins over my desire to kiss now and ask questions later.

“I understand that you want to talk now, so I am going to assume it’s important. I won’t hold that against you when I learn about it tomorrow.”

And then I lean in for a kiss, and he meets me halfway.

It’s such a tender kiss. Apprehensive even.

I press into him further, and he makes a startled gasp, then presses back.

But his lips are closed, and he isn’t moving.

I take the lead. I guide him through the kiss by licking the seam of his lips until he opens up.

He’s still letting me lead, so I run my tongue into his mouth.

I hold his head steady, tipping him to one side, so we can deepen the kiss.

He moans.

I sigh.

His hands grab my waist. They are big and sure. He rubs my body in little up and down motions.

He breaks from the kiss with a huge smile.

“That was everything I dreamed about.”

Something about that doesn’t make sense. Is he being cheesy? He just met me today.

“Wait.” It hits me. “Was that your first kiss?”

Oscar is much older than me. There is gray in little tracks above his ears. That can’t be right.

“Yes, I told you. I waited.”

My hand flies to my mouth.

He waits to see how I am going to react.

So far, it’s just shock. I check in with my primal side, and she approves.

She loves the idea that there isn’t another woman on this planet that gets to have this handsome alpha other than her.

For me? I am a confident woman, but it does shake my own confidence a little, because it’s a lot of pressure.

Fuck it. We will talk about it tomorrow.

I throw myself at him.
