Chapter 46 A Formal Offer

A Formal Offer

Aurora

Ihave a crush on the omega. She’s so fucking cool. Her green eyes make me forget my own name. Her pretty freckles and her cool girl haircut make me want to take a hundred pictures of her.

I just may.

I’ve snuck a couple while her back was turned.

Why didn’t anyone tell me she had a great ass? I feel like that was important information that was left out. She’s also just so…cool. Locke thinks so, too, the way he defers to her constantly.

After we messed around in the showers, Oscar came to the nest and asked to speak to me. He brought my bags and ice water with a straw.

Oscar surprises me.

Actually, everyone here has surprised me.

I dress in oversized black sweatpants and a midnight blue bralette that exposes the middle of my cleavage generously. I can’t find a hairdryer, so I just brush out my hair and put on some tinted moisturizer.

Cadi left already with Locke. I guess some people are here installing shit. I don’t know. I’ve been warned that the rest of this place is under construction.

When I am presentable, I open the door to find Oscar on the other side. Was he waiting the whole time?

“Ro…”

“Were you waiting the whole time?”

“I didn’t know how long you’d be. I thought I’d show you around.”

He’s so formal. It’s so cute. I had his cock in his mouth only recently, and yet he’s treating me like a guest he must impress.

His mustache is clean and brushed. He’s wearing a casual outfit in burgundy and tan.

“Lead the way, alpha,” I say, and he smiles.

The house is not a house. It’s like a mall turned into a house. That’s not right. A galleria? A warehouse?

Whatever it was, it’s transforming into a brightly lit packhouse. He shows me everyone’s rooms and shows me where mine will be. Next to Cadi’s room.

“We all have our own rooms?”

“Locke, Kol, and Mads will actually be together in this large room. Come, I’ll show you. They wanted to share, and in the end, it made sense with the layout. I’ll have my own room, and so will Cadi.”

“Can Cadi and I share?” I ask before I can stop myself.

I cringe at myself, but Oscar doesn’t laugh at me.

“She’ll be back later, and you can ask. They are out shopping. It may help with layouts, and we can use this room,” he gestures to the framed-out space, “as a baby nursery.”

Wow, there’s going to be a baby.

A baby in this house.

Oscar reaches out and runs the blade of his finger down my forearm. He’s smiling, and it’s so nice to see. He strokes the inside of my palm and sends shivers up my arm.

“So, I wanted to ask you. Tomorrow night, Locke is taking Cadi out to a dance club to see her favorite DJ. It’s both of their favorites, actually.

Kol asked Mads to be his date and go as well.

I wanted to know if you’d like to go with me.

” He is looking at me with such hope and interest. His bright face is kind of overwhelming, actually.

“As my date. I know that I’m much older than you, but I’d like to take you out, as a man would a woman.

I’d like to court you as an alpha would an omega. ”

There’s so much air and light in this space. I feel like I could just float away.

“You want to court me?”

“Yes. My pack wants to court you properly. We plan on courting you and Cadi. Things happened so quickly that we weren’t able to do things properly.

We are good alphas who know how to treasure our omegas.

I plan on taking you to nice places, caring for you, spending time with you, cooking for you, and showering you with gifts. ”

He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a small blue box. My hand darts out to take it from him.

It’s mine.

He lets out a surprised sound but recovers. I open the lid on the hinge, and within is a silver necklace not unlike the one Cadi wears.

Oscar takes the box from me so I can inspect the necklace. The metal chain slides over my fingers. There’s a round metal pendant that’s got this texture to it.

“Cadi wears one with her scent profile cast into it. I had it made for her. I wanted to also design a necklace with your scent.”

“Limes?”

“It’s more than limes. It’s like tonic water. Those are the bubbles.”

A giggle bursts out of me.

“Thank god, because a lime would have looked…it would have been tricky. This is nice.”

His chest puffs up with pride, and he takes it from me, and I turn around and gather my hair up. His fingers gently work near my neck, clasping the necklace on.

I turn around, and before he can step away, I reach up and kiss him on the mouth. It’s a good kiss, but quick.

“I’ll be your date to the show tomorrow, and I am very much looking forward to being courted, Alpha Soto.”

He pulls me in for another kiss.

This one is a bit longer.
