Chapter 48 The Bathroom Scene

The Bathroom Scene

Acadia

Aurora follows me into the bathroom. She stands on the other side of the door, chatting. She’s undeterred by my activities in the stall. She’s just telling me a play-by-play of her and Kol’s weird little game. “And then I got Mads’s attention, and he totally got mad again. Serves him right.”

She insists that Kol is some mastermind, secretly-evil, boy thief. I haven’t seen it. But she is pretty convincing.

The bathroom is packed with girls, so when I exit, Ro sticks right to me. As I wash my hands, she rests her head and half her body on my back, still chatting. It feels nice to have a clingy omega on me. I soap up my hands and take my time.

“He may be the father of your baby, but he’s not going to win this time.”

“Win what, exactly?”

“All your attention. Duh. Or Mads. Or Locke. I wish he was interested in Locke, because that would make it more even. Or wait, no I don’t. Fuck, he’d ruin everything if that was the case.”

“Uh huh.”

I finish up with my hands and then fix my lipstick and hair, with Ro still pressed up against me.

“That show was so good. I wish it were still going on. I hate when good things end.”

I chuckle and fix my hair.

“I am having the best time, too, Ro. I hope things will still be fun when I’m big and pregnant and then have a baby…”

“They will be so fucking fun, are you kidding me!”

“You’re so young. Do you really want…” I stop. I didn’t mean to get so serious in the bathroom of a club. She leans into me further, wrapping her arms around me.

“I’m going to go to school! I would hate you all if you were going to clubs and planning trips. You will have a baby, and I will go to school. I will be there for you and the baby as much as I can, Cay.”

“Really?”

“And then I’ll get pregnant and you’ll be there for me.”

“Oh yeah? Who’s going to get you pregnant? Oscar?”

“Isn’t Oscar the sexiest alpha you’ve ever met? And he’s been the best date a girl could ask for. I feel all tingly and shit inside every time he touches me or looks at me.”

“He’s a dream,” I reply.

“What is he like in bed? Just the same?”

“No, not at all. He likes it a little hard and rough. He’s also made comments that make me think he likes primal play.”

“What? What’s that?” she asks and turns me around so I’m looking at her.

“It’s like when he chases you in the woods and catches you. To fuck you. Like, indulging his primal alpha.”

Her face is so funny. Like she’s just heard the craziest thing.

“What. The. Fuck.”

“That’s not your thing?”

“My god, Cay! My god! Have you done that?”

“Not yet. I’m wondering when he’s going to ask.”

“You’re waiting for a man to ask? Girl. No. That’s not the omega I know.”

She’s right. What am I doing? I’m waiting for my pack lead to ask to fulfill one of his sex fantasies? That’s not like me.

“You should run. Now.”

“Now! But I’m here with Locke.”

“I’ll take Locke. You should run. See if he can find you. He has been so fucking good to us. So good to us. He deserves something fun. You deserve something fun! You’re pregnant! This may be the last time you can play a game like this.”

She’s so right. I grab her face and kiss her. Her body presses into mine.

“Tell him that I’ll meet him at ‘home’.”

“Home? What home?”

“Let him figure that out.”

“Where should the rest of the men and I go to give you privacy?”

“Have you stayed at Sky Nest? It’s very nice.”

She laughs and hits my arm.

“You dirty girl. I want all the details.”

A beta woman washing her hands next to us says, “There’s a second entrance to the bathroom that’s closed up. Here, let me show you how to get it open.”

Bless the women’s restroom. Full of outstanding citizens. Ro gives me one more kiss and a slap on my butt. I’m very glad I wore pants tonight. Because I plan on making a run for it.

Oscar is going to freak out.

“And just to let you know, you two are so cute together.”

I look back at Ro, and we both smile, happy to be seen as together.

I follow the woman to a door, and she unbolts it.

It opens up to a crowded hallway. I thank her, and she shuts it behind me.

Oscar and the rest of them are waiting at the other bathroom entrance for Ro and me. I don’t have much time. I have to run.

Run like a big, scary alpha is chasing me.
