The Mansion
I’d recovered my wits by the time Valentino came rushing out of the kitchen with Caterina.
“What the fuck is going on?!” he yelled.
“Helicopter attack. We have to get to the tunnel.”
“No – I’m staying and fighting – ”
“Rachel’s meeting us in the tunnel. She’s got a plan. Where’s Roberto?”
“Here!” my twin shouted from down the hallway. He was holding Mei-ling’s hand as they ran towards us.
“Where’s Bianca and Lucia?” Caterina cried out.
“We’re here!” Bianca shouted in a muffled voice.
Seconds later, they entered the hallway from an interior stairwell.
“What the fuck is going on?!” Lucia yelled.
“No time!” I shouted. “Find as many servants as you can and get them down to the tunnel, now!”
We raced through the center of the house and into the west wing.
Sofia, Caterina, Lucia, Bianca, and Mei-ling grabbed every servant they could and brought them along with us.
Roberto and Valentino ordered the foot soldiers we encountered to comb the upper floors and bring everyone they found to the tunnel.
I had something else I needed to do, though.
