THE ROGUE PRINCE A Prince Caspian Hardwood Romance—Book 1
Prince Caspian Hardwood wore many costumes.
At times, he was a scourge pirate, traveling the high seas, striking fear into the hearts of many a maiden. Once, he played a beggar, a man without name or reputation, who had taken to lingering on the steps of a church, just beside a nunnery. He traveled all throughout the realm, passing through ports and villages, taking on odd jobs, using strange names, careful to hide any hints of his true and royal lineage. But otherwise, Prince Caspian Hardwood was certain that his reputation had not preceded him.
Nor was his uncle—the new King Damian Hardwood—any closer to tracking him down.
Perhaps, had it not been for the Lady Magdalene, he would have absconded from the realm completely. Boarded one of those pirate ships for some new land across the sea, where his uncle and the threats to his life could not reach him. But Magdalene—his one true love, the only woman who had ever fully besotted him—was still in danger. She had been imprisoned in the castle of the new king, under lock and key.
Yes, there would be many maidens. Many beds he would lay upon. Many dangerous travels in his adventures towards her freedom. But Prince Caspian Hardwood was biding his time, searching for clues, gathering up allies—preparing for the day when he would restore the kingdom he loved most to safety, rescue the beautiful Magdalene, and make her his queen.
