Chapter 14 William

I lay next to Kit on the bed. I nuzzled my face into her neck and hair.

Kit smiled and rolled onto her side. I sat up on the edge of the bed, quickly removed the condom, and put it into the trash can by the bed.

Kit sat up behind me and pressed her breast against my back as she leaned her arms against my shoulders.

I smiled over my shoulder at her. Curls fell over her own shoulder.

I liked the familiar and affectionate way Kit draped herself on me.

Kit said, “Well, I guess I won’t be going on any more casual dates.”

I raised an eyebrow, looked over my shoulder, and laughed. “And why is that?”

“I don’t have anything to wear. You ripped the buttons off my best date dress.”

I laughed and said, “Good riddance to the date dress then.”

Kit’s laugh filled the room. I turned and hooked an arm around her waist and pulled her into my lap.

Kit squealed and threw her head back, laughing.

I laid back on the bed, and Kit adjusted so that she was straddling me.

She leaned forward and her hair fanned to create a curtain around our faces.

She kissed me softly. I felt it rising up in my chest, a feeling I had never felt before.

I wanted to say it, but it felt caught in my throat.
