37. Veronica #3
He reaches behind his back, retrieving a small rectangular box from I’m not sure where. “I have a little something for you.” He lifts the lid to the box, and a beautiful diamond necklace winks back at me.
I gasp, my hands coming over my mouth. “Noah…this is beautiful.” I look up at him with a smile. “Is this where you ran off to while we were shopping?”
While I was in one of the shops trying on clothes, I came out of the dressing room to find Noah gone. Gabe told me he had gotten a call and went outside to take it, but I now know that was a lie.
“I couldn’t exactly tell you about your gift.” He smirks. “Turn around, I want to put it on you.” I do as he asks and watch him through the mirror as he secures the clasp behind my neck.
I feel my eyes grow misty as I’m suddenly overwhelmed with emotions.
These two beautiful souls have been nothing but exceptionally great to me from the very beginning.
They’re attentive and loving, loyal to a fault, and I have no idea where I’d be without them.
I never want to live a single moment without them ever again.
“I love you, Noah Adler.” My whispered words come out broken as I hold back the tears that threaten to spill.
He looks up once he hears me, his eyes filled with worry as he quickly turns me to face him. “Hey, what’s wrong, love?” he asks, cupping my cheeks.
I place my hands over his wrists, smiling and shaking my head.
“Nothing’s wrong, I promise. I’m just so happy right now, and I haven’t been this happy in a long time.
It feels like a lot and may even seem silly, but everything you guys have done for me since the beginning means the world to me, and I want to thank you for that.
I love you both so much it fucking hurts when I think about possibly losing you. ”
“Then don’t. Don’t think about it, because you’ll never lose us, Kitten.
We aren’t going anywhere. We love you too much to ever leave you.
A world without you would mean nothing to us.
” He kisses the two tears that managed to slip out on either cheek, then my lips.
“I love you more than life itself, Veronica. Never forget that. This is forever.”
“Forever,” I whisper back. I turn back to the mirror and curse myself for ruining my makeup. “Fuck, now I need to redo it. I really need to start investing in waterproof makeup.”
Noah chuckles. “I’ll go wait downstairs with Ellis. Take all the time you need.” He kisses my head then walks out of the room while I make my way back to the bathroom.
Ten minutes later and my makeup once again properly in place, I head down the stairs, finding both my men waiting for me at the bottom. With every step down I take, their eyes grow hungrier and hungrier.
“Fuck, baby. You look incredible.” Gabe steps up, passing an arm around my waist and pulling me in as I laugh, my hands falling to his chest. “I can’t wait for the world to see you.”
“And I can’t wait to come back home and get you out of this suit.” I glide my fingers over the lapels of his navy-blue suit jacket.
Beneath it, he’s wearing a white dress shirt and the same color dress pants as his jacket, with fancy brown shoes. His hair is pushed back with the top portion mostly falling to one side. It gives him a sexy, naughty boy look.
“I was just thinking the same thing.” He grins then comes in to bite my earlobe.
“But about this dress. I believe I may have the missing pieces to complete your outfit.” He pulls away and brings forward the hand he had hidden behind his back.
Another gift, this one a small square, but not small enough to be a ring.
“For you, my queen.”
I open it, revealing a stunning diamond bracelet and diamond earrings that seem to match the necklace Noah gave me earlier. “God, you guys!” I look up toward the ceiling, blinking rapidly and fanning my face. “Damn it, I’m going to cry again. What is happening to me?!”
“Maybe you’re pregnant. I did say we might be announcing it soon.” Gabe laughs.
I quickly look down and point a finger at him. “Do not joke about that. I am not pregnant.” I gaze back down at the box in his hand. “They’re amazing. You two spent way too much on me today.”
Gabe takes the bracelet out and gives the box to Noah. “It will never be too much if it’s for you.” He passes it around my wrist when I hold it out and straps it in place.
I glide my forest-green nail over each diamond as Noah hands me the earrings.
Once I’ve secured them in place, I look at these two marvelous men who stand before me, ready to offer me the world, ready to move mountains, and capture the moon and stars for me.
And without a doubt, I know I’d gladly do the same for them.
I never thought I’d let myself feel this way again, that I’d never let myself go again. That I’d never let another man consume me entirely. And yet, it’s all I crave from these two, and I’ll let them do it over and over again.
I’d willingly let myself fall into an abyss if it meant finding them at the end of the seemingly endless journey through the dark. Because they are my home, the only place I ever want to be.
My forever.
And I’d do anything for them.
