41. Gabriel #3
Midway down the ice, he jumps down onto his stomach and glides over to the group, crashing into them. Everyone laughs around us as they see him in action. God, I can’t believe I’m in love with this nutjob.
Noah
Gabe and I hurry out of our equipment and get in the shower quickly. Scrubbing away the sweat as best as we can before getting back into the dressing room and pulling on our suits, excited to see our girl after a great win.
My phone rings with a notification just as I pull it out of the cubby, smiling as I see Kitten’s name pop up. It’s a text from her telling us she’s just down the hall with the girls and kids.
They usually wait for us elsewhere, not wanting to deal with the reporters that are waiting just outside the dressing room. We’ve already had a few inside the locker room before undressing, but there’s always a handful more waiting for us with more questions.
As predicted, the moment we step out of the room, cameras and recorders turn to us. Questions are being shot out, one after the other, hoping to gain our attention. I stop in front of one I recognize that has been interviewing us for years now.
“Noah, what a great way to start the season with a five-to-one win, on home ice above that. How are you feeling about this season?”
“We’re definitely excited to be back on the ice after such a win last season and hoping to make it just as far this year.”
“I have no doubt you guys will. Now, I have to ask.” He smirks when he sees the smile spread on my lips, because I knew this question would come up.
Ever since our date night, we’ve been all over the tabloids with speculations about whether or not the rumors surrounding Veronica, Gabriel, and I are true.
“There have been rumors flying around about you and Gabriel Ellis being off the market and taken by the same woman. Will you give us and all your lady fans out there that are dying to know the truth and answer? Are the rumors true? And how serious is this relationship between the three of you?” He aims his recorder back at me, his cameraman to the side, capturing every moment.
It's at that moment that I spot our girl just above his shoulder, with the widest grin plastered on her beautiful face. I keep my eyes trained on her as I give them what they want.
“Yes, it’s all true. We’ve fallen madly in love with the same woman, and we’re just lucky that she happens to love us just as much.” I wink at her as she mouths, ‘I love you’, clearly hearing what I’ve just said.
The reporter catches my action and looks behind him, directly at Veronica. Before he can even ask, I wave her over. She hesitates for a second but then comes, sliding her hand right into my extended one.
“This must be the woman we’ve all been hearing about.” He smiles at Veronica.
“Yes, she is.” I lean in and press my lips to hers for the world to see. She sighs against me, melting as she rests her hand over my chest.
Gabe finishes with his reporter and comes up quickly, taking Veronica away from me as he scoops her up into his arms. “There’s my baby!”
Her legs go around his waist, arms circling his neck as he holds her up with one hand on her ass and the other at the back of her head, devouring her mouth like a starved man.
Veronica laughs as he finally sets her back down beside me and wraps his arms around her neck from the back, head leaning to the side of hers.
“Well, I do have to admit you both look smitten.” The reporter chuckles.
“Oh, we are.” Gabe beams at him.
“And for my final question, how serious is this relationship between you three?”
Veronica takes my hand again and places her other above Gabe’s crossed forearms. “We’re actually looking at houses right now,” she tells him.
“Wow, that’s as serious as it can get! Well, thank you for answering my questions, and I wish you all the best of luck. I’m sure you’re eager to get out of here and celebrate your win of the night.”
“That we are,” Gabe answers as I thank the reporter. Then we both take our girl’s hands and join the rest of our friends waiting down the hall.
“Did you boys want to go out and celebrate with the team?” Veronica asks us as we make our way to the car.
“Nah, I’m ready to get home and celebrate with you, Kitten.” I wink at her.
She laughs. “My favorite type of celebration.”
“It’s all I’ve been thinking about all night.” Gabe sighs happily.
“Really? Not defending our goal?” I smirk at him.
“Okay, it was fifty percent the goal and fifty percent burying myself deep in our girl.” He laughs as Veronica and I join in.
“You two are ridiculous.” She swats us both with her hands as we reach the car.
“But you love how ridiculous we are.” Gabe holds on to the back passenger car door, stopping her from closing it.
“That I do.” She smiles. “Now hurry up so we can get home, and you can defile me properly.” She yanks hard on the door as he loosens his grip and slams it shut.
Gabe and I sprint into action. “That’s one way to get us moving.” I laugh as we jump in and Gabe starts the engine, driving us home.
