Chapter Five Sarah #2

I clapped my hand over my mouth. “Oh my God! I knew it sounded familiar.”

“Obviously, he was giving you a fake name to protect himself and his client, which is shady, and I still think you should file a police report.”

“And for the second time, no.”

Huffing out a frustrated breath, Hudson said, “Come on. Let’s get you the hell out of here and have a stiff drink.”

“That sounds like heaven.”

Always the gentleman, Hudson grabbed my purse and slung it over his shoulder. “Anything else?” he asked.

With a shake of my head, he held out his hand to me. After slipping it into his, he tugged me to his side. “I told Archie to meet us at Thai Orchid.”

Archie was Hudson’s boyfriend, and in the three years they’d been together, he’d become such a good friend to me. “Seriously?”

He cocked his dark brows at me. “You object to having dinner at your favorite place?”

I rolled my eyes. “I do when it’s a pity dinner.”

Hudson snorted. “That’s where you’re wrong. We were dining out tonight anyway.”

“And you were going to choose the one type of food that gives you indigestion?”

Hudson wrinkled his nose. “It’s a gluten allergy.”

“I’m aware of that.”

“Not when you make me sound like an old man.”

“You get grumpy and smelly like one when you eat Thai,” I shot back.

“Will you please just let me do something nice without bringing up a potential gastrointestinal melee?"

“Fine.”

As we reached Hudson’s Porsche, he opened the door for me. I buckled up as he jogged around the back. After sliding inside, he cranked up.

The further we got away from the office, the more at ease I began to feel. At my ragged sigh, Hudson turned to pin me with a questioning look. “This isn’t just about the creepy guy, is it?”

As I rubbed my hand over my forehead, I whispered, “No. It’s not.”

“Well, I’ve got just the thing to get your mind off things.”

“Is that right?”

He wagged his brows at me before turning his attention back to the road. “There’s a hunt this weekend.”

At the mere word hunt, all thoughts of the mysterious man dissipated. Heat bloomed hot and heavy between my thighs as X-rated images flickered through my mind.

Me running through a darkened forest.

My chest rising and falling from both my exertions and the fear thrumming in my chest.

The sound of someone crashing through the brush behind me.

Large hands coming around my waist and neck as I fought against them.

Being forced onto my knees.

My dress shoved up over my hips.

Calloused fingers teasing and rubbing my clit before plunging inside my soaked walls.

When I shifted in the seat, Hudson chuckled. “I knew that would do the trick.”

It had been Hudson and Archie, who had introduced me to the world of primal play. After a drunken game of kinky Truth or Dare, I’d admitted how I’d always fantasized about being chased through the woods or a maze by a masked man who then caught me and fucked me.

I’d fully expected them to howl with laughter that someone allegedly as straight-laced and potentially vanilla like me was interested in something so debased.

To my complete and total surprise, they had exchanged a secretive smile before Hudson remarked, “What if I told you we could make your fantasy come true?”

Archie snorted. “Jesus, Huddy. Way to cock that one up.”

Hudson rolled his eyes. “And what exactly should I have said?”

Ignoring Hudson, Archie winked at me. “What Hudson meant to say is we can help facilitate your heterosexual fantasy.”

With a nervous titter, I replied, “You’re joking, right?”

Hudson grinned. “You know all those weekend trips we’ve taken over the years?”

“Yeah.”

“We were going on hunts.”

I furrowed my brows. “Like horses and hounds kind of hunting?”

Archie chuckled. “You’re so naive, Sarah.”

“Well, you are British,” I countered.

Archie wasn’t just British. He was the son of an Earl. He liked to joke since he was the third son, it wasn’t that posh. It was all bullshit since his bank account was very posh. It didn’t hurt that Archie made bank as investment broker while Hudson was a prominent child psychologist.

At their continued laughter, I crossed my arms over my chest in a huff. “Excuse me for being sexually illiterate when it comes to hunts.”

Hudson rubbed my shoulder playfully. “You’re not totally off the mark. There are predators and prey, like with horses and hounds.” With a wag of his brow, he replied, “It’s just people who are the hunted.”

At first, I’d thought it would be mortifying to attend events with them. Like it might hurt our friendship if they saw me being railed by some random guy and vice versa. Especially since Hudson was like a brother to me.

But what I’d come to learn was that once you arrived at the manor house where the event was held, the gay, bi, and hetero groups were separated.

It eased my nerves knowing they were around in case things got scary. At the same time, it didn’t hurt having security and legally binding contracts to ensure no one got out of hand.

The last three years had flown by with me attending events every two to three months. I was currently in the longest stretch where it’d been almost five. Real life had caught up to my playtime.

Turning to Hudson, I smiled. “Give me all the kinky details.”
