31. Evan
CHAPTER 31
Evan
“ L exi, open the door.”
“Fuck you, Evan. Go away.” Her voice is muffled, as though her face is buried in a pillow.
“Open the goddamn door.” I jiggle the handle, ready to break her fucking door down.
Her door flies open, and there she stands, looking pissed as hell. And so fucking beautiful.
She glares at me, her arms folded over her chest. “Listen, just forget what happened. I should’ve known better than to be nice to an asshole like you.” Rage and defiance burn in her mocha irises. “Besides, we need to steer clear of one another as much as possible, professor. ”
I raise a brow, matching her posture. “Really?”
Sarcasm drips from her voice. “We need to keep our relationship professional. Strictly professor/student. Advisor/advisee. No blurred lines. Hey?—"
I push her backward until she hits the wall. “Let’s get one thing straight, Alexis.”
She glares at me, her anger increasing like the pressure in a volcano before an eruption. I knew calling her Alexis would piss her off.
“I’m trying to apologize for acting like an asshole, but you refuse to hear it.” I step closer, my body flush against hers. I breathe in her scent, taking it deep into my lungs and holding it.
“Why do I care about your apologies? You’ve proven that you’re nothing but an arrogant, entitled bastard who thinks the world revolves around him.” She turns her head away, avoiding my eyes. But I already saw the pain in them.
“You want to believe that, don’t you? Makes it easier to hate me.” I rub my nose along the side of her neck, stopping over her pulse, which pounds against her skin. “I’m not used to anyone being concerned about me, let alone taking care of my injuries. It made me defensive.”
Why the fuck did I tell her that? Christ, I’m acting like a pathetic sap.
She turns her head, her mocha eyes accessing me intently. “I don’t give a shit, professor.”
“Oh, I think you do. I’m the professor you wanna fuck.” I smirk as an outraged gasp leaves her lips.
“I do not wanna fuck you,” she snaps, eyes blazing from rage. “I want you to get out and leave me alone.”
“That’s not what you want.” I pin her arms overhead with one hand. She struggles against me, fighting and bucking. She tries to knee me in the balls, but I twist my body, grabbing her leg and throwing it over my hip.
Grinding against her, a grin spreads over my face when she closes her eyes, her jaw clenched. She’s trying so hard not to react, but the way she shivers is a dead giveaway that she’s turned on.
“Stop lying, bellissima.” My hand cups her breast, and her eyes fly open. “You want me. And I can prove it.”
I pull her away from the wall and toss her onto the bed. She bounces on the mattress before trying to scramble away, but I pounce, pinning her down.
“Lexi,” I rasp in her ear. She’s on her elbows, trying to buck me off, but it’s not working. “I’ll bet your pussy is soaked for me.”
“You’re not gonna— ouch .”
My hand cracks her ass before rubbing over it. A whimper slips out, telling me everything I need to know.
I smack her ass again, and she jerks before moaning. I use her distraction to my advantage, lifting my body from hers and dragging her sweatpants to her ankles. She squirms and fights, but it’s too late. I already have them down, revealing her perky ass in a thong.
“Your ass is so gorgeous when it’s red from my hand.” I lean over, kissing one of her cheeks before I bite it. She jerks, burying her face into the mattress to stifle her groan.
My hand lowers, sliding inside her panties. “So fucking wet for me.”
“Evan, stop. This isn’t right.”
I crawl up her body, my finger slipping inside her. “What isn’t right? Us? Cause this feels pretty damn right to me.”
She shakes her head. “We’re forbidden. You’re my professor and stepbrother.”
I lick the shell of her ear, my finger moving in and out of her. “You’re my gorgeous and feisty student and stepsister.” I slide another finger inside her. “The one who drives me crazy. Pushes all my buttons, yet makes my dick harder than it’s ever been.”
I kiss her neck, feeling her tremble beneath me as she struggles against the urge to give in. “You have no idea how much I wanna pound you deep into the mattress as you cream all over my cock.”
“It's wrong.” Her voice is weak, with barely any fight left in it.
My body shakes from trying to hang onto a tiny shred of restraint. This fucking woman makes me insane, snapping every thread of my sanity until I’m a shell of who I usually am—a man who’s always in control.
“How can anything that feels like this be wrong?” Her pussy is so fucking wet it makes me crazy. “Your tight, soaked pussy wants me. You can try and deny it all you want, but…” I shove my fingers deep inside her, then pull them out, moving them in front of her face so she can see the evidence of her arousal. “This is proof, Lexi.”
Humiliation is on her face as her gaze moves from my fingers to my face.
I adjust her panties, then get up. “Come on. Let’s eat dinner and then get a coffee. How’s the studying coming along?”
She rolls over, staring at me in astonishment. “That’s it?”
“You wanna suck my cock? Fuck?”
“No.” She wraps her arms around herself. “I just can’t believe you’re giving up already.”
I lean down, my finger beneath her chin, tilting it up to mine. “I’m not giving up shit, Lexi. I’m giving you a chance to eat and have coffee with me. But if you’d rather have me pound you into the mattress?—”
“No.” She jumps up from the bed, grabs her plate and water, and says, “Let’s go eat dinner.”
I grin as I follow her from the room. Her happiness makes me feel lighter. There’s a nagging feeling in my gut, but I don’t question it.
Tonight, I’m just going with the flow.
“How’s Biology going?”
Lexi pauses, a strange look contorting her face before she waves her fork in the air. “Fine. There’s been an instructor change, though. Instead of Dr. Jameson, it’s being taught by Professor Huntley.”
Every muscle in my body tenses as my vision turns red. Huntley? What the fuck?
“When did you find this out?” I snap, trying to control my rage but failing.
Lexi raises her brows but lets it slide.“This afternoon, when I had lunch with Sophia. She has that class as well. I asked if she’d seen the change.”
My blood boils. What is that son of a bitch up to?
It’s no secret that Huntley and I are enemies, although Lexi likely has no idea of our feud, which has been going on since my freshman year at Stone Ridge University.
Huntley and I have gotten into fistfights multiple times. The last one occurred at a party by the lake. His tramp of the week started hitting on me. Although I wasn’t interested in her, getting under his skin was fun. All I had to do was show her attention, and she lapped it up like a starving animal.
In retaliation, Huntley made a nasty comment about my dead mother.
You don’t say shit about my mother. Huntley knew that and decided to roll the dice.
I beat the shit out of him. It was so bad that Huntley was hospitalized.
Luckily, my last name saved me. My father enlisted the help of his friends in law enforcement, or I would’ve been in serious trouble.
“What did Sophia say about him?” My hand is curled around my glass so hard I’m surprised I haven’t broken it, sending shards everywhere.
Lexi raises her brows. “Nothing positive. He’s young and arrogant and enjoyed making students cry when he was a TA for Dr. Jameson. She said he offers to help pretty, struggling female students during his office hours, but instead of tutoring them in Biology, he’d coerce them into giving him head.”
I nod. “She’s not wrong. Stay away from him.” My gaze bores into hers. “I mean it.”
A bitter laugh rolls from her lips as she turns her head to me, brows raised. “You’re gonna take the moral high ground after the stunt you pulled in your office? Doesn’t that make you a hypocrite?”
I level her with a look. “It’s entirely different. Despite how much you protest, I know you want me.”
She grabs her water and takes a drink. “Or maybe it just helps you sleep better at night to tell yourself bullshit like that when you’re no better than he is.”
“Watch yourself, Lexi,” I growl, my eyes burning into hers. “One could say you’re a hypocrite, too.”
“Just because my body reacts to your touch doesn’t mean anything.”
“I think the lady doth protest too much. Especially after coming all over my face.” I pick up my glass of water and drain it. “Are you finished with dinner? I can move your dresser for you.”
Surprise transforms her face. “You remembered.”
“Sorry I didn’t do it after dinner with our parents. You escaped to your room, and I figured you didn’t want to be bothered.” I lean forward, my hand cupping her chin. “I don’t forget anything when it comes to you, bellissima.”
