Twenty-Four

Emilia

“Are you going to behave?”

Mateo asks me as we pull up to the O’Sullivan’s mansion.

“Why wouldn’t I?” I ask.

“Oh, I don’t know… because you never do.”

I smirk as he gets out of the car and opens the door for me. He wraps his arm around me as we walk up to the front door. Molly greets us there.

“Hi, Molly. How are you?”

“Hi, Mrs. De Luca, I’m well. Hello, Mr. De Luca.”

“I told you none of the Mrs. De Luca shit. Call me Emilia.”

I smile at her as we step inside. I walk past the guards because I know exactly where I’m headed. I go and grab my baby from his aquarium.

“Hi, baby. Did you miss me? I missed you and I brought you more stuff,”

I say to Draco as I pet his head. I put him on my shoulders as I make my way to Cillian’s office, need to make sure he has been on his best behavior.

I knock once on his door and enter when he answers. I smile when I see Bia snuggled up in his lap.

“Aww, look at you two.”

Cillian looks up and groans, “What do I owe the pleasure?”

“Making sure you are being a good boy. Plus, I need to visit my baby.”

“Why don’t you take him back to Italy with you?”

“Now why would I do that?” I smirk.

“So you could come here so often to bug us.”

“Aww I knew you love me.”

“Emilia,”

I hear Mateo warning me. I wave him off and turn to Bia.

“Bia, how are you sweetheart?”

I ask in a softer voice. I love her, and I want to bubble wrap her so she can’t get hurt. But I have a feeling Cillian might have an issue with me that.

An idea if he fucks up again.

“I’m good.”

“Happy?”

She smiles. “Very happy.”

“Good. I’m glad. How is the little prince?”

“Perfect.”

she says with a bigger smile.

“Now where is your new sister-in-law? I haven’t met her yet.”

“Emilia, you need to be gentle with her she hasn’t had an easy time recently.”

“What happened?”

I listen as Cillian tells me everything that has happened including Oscar’s asshole behavior.

“Where is your stupid brother? I need to have a chat with him.”

“I’ll call him in here.”

“Have him bring his wife.”

“Yes!”

He exclaims and a few minutes later Oscar walks in with a beautiful brunette on his arm.

“Oh fuck!”

Oscar says when his eyes land on me.

“Oh, fuck is right. You dumb motherfucker,”

I snarl as I walk up to him and sucker punch him in the gut. He bends over, catching his breath.

“Hello to you too, Emilia.”

“Who are you?”

his wife demands.

“My name is Emilia De Luca. You must be Erin.”

I extend my hand to shake it but she glares at me.

“Aingeal, it is okay. She is a family friend, and I deserved that for what I put you through, which I’m guessing is the reason she punched me.”

“Yes, and you’re lucky that’s all your getting.”

“I know.”

“Good. So you won’t be a complete dumb ass like Sir Dipshit behind me?”

I say pointing my thumb to Cillian behind me.

“Emilia De Luca.”

Mateo growls.

“What? He is.”

“You can’t disrespect the Boss in his own house.”

“I can. He knows better.”

“Mateo, its fine. She is right and she may be the only one who could get away with it.”

Cillian says.

“Smart man,”

I say and hand Draco over to one of the soldiers who followed us into the room.

“You want me to hold that?”

“Yes.”

“But it’s a snake.”

“And…wait. Are you telling me you are afraid of my sweet baby?”

“Snakes aren’t sweet,”

he says, taking Draco from me but holding him away from his body as possible. Luckily for the shivering asshole, Mateo takes Draco from him. I watch as Draco drapes his body over Mateo’s shoulders.

“You look hot with Draco on your shoulders,”

I say as I eye rape my husband.

“You are still being punished.”

“Goody! can’t wait.”

I blow him a kiss before turning my attention back to Erin. “Now, I hear I have a nephew I haven’t met yet.”

“Nephew?”

“Yep, since I’m Peter and Grace’s unofficially adopted daughter. All the O’Sullivan kids are like my brothers and sisters, even the ones who really annoy me, which makes the kids my nieces and nephews. So come on, I have some spoiling to do.”

I say taking Erin’s arm and walking us out of there.

We walk into the playroom and I see Brayden playing with an adorable little red-headed boy.

“Erin, he is precious.”

I say, bending down to his level.

“Little prince,”

I call to Brayden.

“Emmy, Emmy,”

he yells as he runs over and gives me a hug.

“Hey, little prince. Have you been good?”

“Uh-huh. I good.”

“I know you have. I brought you and Charlie something.”

I hand him a bag full of blocks, stuffed animals, and art stuff. After he has walked off, Charlie is standing next to Erin, but is curious about me.

“Hi, Charlie. Do you like blocks?”

He nods but is still peaking from behind Erin’s leg.

“Oh good, because I have this big bag of toys and I was hoping you would play with them with me,”

I say, pushing the bag a bit closer to him. Erin gently pushes on his back encouraging him to come closer. He peeks inside the bag, and when he sees the stuffed animal inside he lifts it out with a huge smile on his face. Kayleigh was right Charlie is more sensitive and loves stuffed animals. I smile watching as he hugs it to his chest.

“Do you like it?” He nods.

“I’m glad you like the bear. What are you going to call him?”

He thinks about it, and then answers, “Roar.”

“The bear’s name is Roar?”

“Uh-huh.”

“That’s a perfect name,”

I say, and Erin bends down.

“Can you tell Emilia thank you?”

“Thank you, E-em.”

“You can call me Emmy like Brayden does.”

“Emmy,”

he says with a smile.

I spend time getting to know Erin and Charlie while playing with the toys, and during that time Kayleigh bug comes in but doesn’t stay long, claiming she has homework. After she leaves, I look at Erin.

“What’s up with her?”

“I have no idea, but she has been acting strange and distancing herself from the family for a while now, but she claims it’s because of her exams.”

“Yeah. I’ve never seen her like this. I’m not believing this school bulls-crap. I’ll get to the bottom of it,”

I tell her. And I will.
