Chapter 21

twenty

Lily

Dom Damon: I need to see you.

I read the text and smile as I leave the office. I had an incredible day showing several properties to a sweet couple who are expecting their first child. They put in an offer on a small house near the beach, and I have a great feeling about it.

Driving, I wait until I am at a red light before responding.

Me: When?

Dom Damon: Now. Be ready in an hour.

I giggle to myself as I continue on my way home. I look nice in dress pants and a lavender blouse, but I don’t want to look nice. I want to look sexy.

I rush into my room and change into a black leather corset shirt and a black skirt. I purchased it online, and I’ve been waiting for the right time to wear it. It’s been a week since I last saw Damon, and I’m dying to feel him touch me again.

Mel is in her room when I exit mine. She whistles when she sees me.

“Wow, hot date?” she asks.

“Something like that,” I say, spinning so she can take in the outfit.

“Are you going out with Jack?” she asks, raising her brows.

“No, not Jack,” I say, moving down the hallway.

I hear Mel run out of her room after me.

“Then who are you going out with?” she calls from behind me.

“A guy I met at work,” I say, though it’s not really a lie.

I hate lying to Mel, but I haven’t figured out how to explain all of this to her yet.

It was one thing to tell her about hooking up with the mystery masked man at Shadow, but this is very different.

That was wild and reckless, but in a safe setting.

Telling my best friend that I’m going out with a mafia man who owns Shadow is something I don’t think she would agree with.

Until I figure out how serious my relationship with Damon is, I’m going to hold back on telling her everything.

“Who?” She eyes me carefully.

“Just a guy. I will tell you about it when I get back,” I say, rushing out the front door.

I get in my car and check my messages.

Dom Damon: Meet me here—room 213.

He sends a pin to an address in downtown Sunnyvale. I put the information into my GPS and begin driving, unsure of what awaits me.

The room breathes with warmth as I step inside the suite, my heart racing in time with the anticipation fluttering in my chest. The door closes behind me, muffling the world outside as I draw in a deep breath, familiar yet electrifying aromas wrapping around me like a silken cocoon.

As I take a tentative step forward, I catch sight of him.

So tall and imposing, his gaze pools with a simmering intensity that draws me closer.

The extravagant boutique hotel is new and in a luxurious part of Sunnyvale.

“Lily,” he greets, his voice a low, smooth caress that slips through the air like a promise, sending shivers racing across my skin.

“Damon.” My voice barely escapes, soft yet laced with a longing that speaks volumes.

With each inch that draws me closer, I feel the pull of desire twist around me, urging me to surrender completely. His arms open, inviting, and without hesitation, I fall into his embrace, the familiar warmth wrapping around me like a shield against the chaos outside.

He pulls me in tightly, and I melt against him, relishing the moment as the world becomes hazy. “It feels like it’s been forever since I last saw you,” he murmurs, his breath warm against my ear, sending tiny jolts of electricity racing down my spine.

“It’s only been a week,” I tease softly, but the thrill coursing through me belies the lightness in my tone. “How is it that time feels like an eternity when all I can think about is you?”

A knowing smile spreads across his lips, and I can feel the laughter simmering behind those dark, captivating eyes. “Perhaps we’re both guilty of indulging in our fantasies a little too much,” he replies, his voice rich and velvety, wrapping around me like a sweet melody.

I pull back slightly, searching his gaze, and in that instant, I see the passion and intensity reflected.

He leans closer, capturing my lips in a kiss that is both fiery and gentle; an exploration of our unspoken connection that ignites a flame deep within me.

I surrender willingly, lost in the softness of his touch as the outside world disappears entirely.

As we break apart, breathless, I lean against him, the subtle rhythm of his heartbeat mirroring my own as if our bodies are intricately entwined in a dance that only we can navigate.

“I want to show you everything,” he replies, a flicker of determination glimmering in his eyes. “But we have to be careful. I can’t risk you getting caught up in my life, not when I don’t know what the future holds.”

The thrill of his words sends a shiver of excitement down my spine, but I feel the tension tighten around us. “You don’t think I’m afraid, do you?” I ask, meeting his gaze with a fierceness that surprises even me.

“Not afraid, no. But be cautious, and you should be.” He cups my face, his fingers warm and steady against my skin. “What we’re doing isn’t just fun and games. The stakes are high.”

His words resonate within me, echoing the truth I can’t ignore. I know the dangers his life entails, the shadows that follow him like a dark cloak, yet here I am, willingly stepping into that darkness with him. “I just want us to be safe.”

He smiles, though there’s a hint of sadness behind it. “That’s what I want, too. But I’ll keep you safe, even if it means putting distance between us when necessary.” He motions around the room. “That’s why I wanted you to meet me here at this hotel.”

“You seem stressed,” I acknowledge.

I move over to him, take his hand, and guide him toward the king-size bed. He sits, and I straddle behind him. Placing my hands on his shoulders, I begin to massage him. I can feel the tension in him, and I want to know what’s truly bothering him, but I’m also afraid to ask.

“Things are getting complicated with work,” he breathes.

“I’m sorry,” I replied.

“I shouldn’t be telling you this, but I need to talk to someone,” he sighs. “We’ve got another mafia family that wants to take over some of our area. They are moving in, and we may have a rat at Shadow,” he explains.

I continue to rub his shoulders while I process what he just said. My stomach drops at the realization of how dangerous his job truly is.

“That’s intense,” I say.

He chuckles. “Fuck yeah, it is.” He takes my hand and stops me. He pulls me around until I land in his lap. “Lily, I’ve done bad things. I will have to do something bad again in the future. I just need to know that you won’t run. I will never lie to you.”

And just like that, the reality of our connection deepens, woven intricately with both longing and caution. My heart swells with desire, yet I know that as we continue to carve this secret path, the stakes grow ever higher.

“I’m not going anywhere,” I say, placing a soft kiss on his lips.

“I’m a fucked up man, Lily. I hurt people. I do illegal things. I stalked you. But I will never do anything to lose you. I won’t let you leave me,” he says, his eyes boring into mine.

This is the moment of truth. I could get up and leave and fall back into the safety of my life. But I don’t want to. The thought of losing this man would hurt me more than anything I could discover about him later.

“I know, Damon. I am here with you,” I say.

Damon kisses me hard. Before I know it, we are ripping our clothes off, and Damon is now hovering above me. His hard cock is at my entrance, and I’m so desperate for this man to fill me that I can’t stand it.

“I don’t have a condom. I want to feel all of you," Damon says, trailing kisses down my neck. He makes his way to my breasts and palms one while licking and sucking the other.

“I don’t care, I just need you,” I cry out.

“I love how assertive you are,” Damon grunts as he slams into me, and it’s wild and rough at first until he finds his rhythm. I feel every inch of him as he fills me. My hands roam over his thick back, feeling his muscles contract as he moves in and out of me.

“You feel so good. Your sweet little cunt is so tight and wet for me,” he roars out, moving faster inside of me.

He nips at my nipple, and I cry out in pleasure. Damon blends pain and ecstasy in a way I never thought possible. My body begins to tremble as I feel my first orgasm approaching. When I scream out his name, he flips me over and pulls my hips up to him, entering me from behind.

I hold onto the headboard, rocking it against the wall as Damon continues to move harder and faster into me. It’s all too much, and just as I feel a second orgasm building, he slaps my ass, causing me to scream and come all at the same time.

“You have the perfect hips for fucking you from behind,” he grits out.

“Don’t stop,” I cry, needing this feeling never to end.

“I’m about to unload inside of you,” Damon yells, slamming inside of me one last time before spilling into me.

When we both collapse, breathless, I turn to face Damon.

Oh shit, I just let him come inside of me. I’m not on the pill, and we didn’t wear a condom.

Once I regain my breathing, I say, “Damon, maybe we need to be more careful. I should get on birth control.”

Damon stares up at the ceiling. “Why?”

“Why what?” I’m confused.

“If you get pregnant, then we have a baby,” he says.

Shock hits me like a lightning bolt. I sit up in bed. “How can you be so calm about that? We aren’t even officially dating. A baby is a huge commitment.” I’m officially freaking out.

Damon chuckles and sits up next to me. “Ok, maybe we aren’t ready for a baby, but I’m telling you that I’m ready for whatever happens with us. I already told you that I’m not letting you go. We will make it work, no matter what.”

“So, what does that mean?” Even though I’m insanely crazy about this man, I can still feel the rational part of my brain telling me to slow down.

“It means you are mine now. I’m yours. Forever.” He looks at me with a genuine, soft smile. I think it’s the first time I’ve ever seen him smile like that.

“Do you truly mean that?” I ask, my voice trembling. I’m suddenly overcome with emotion. “Your life is so dangerous, and we are meeting at a hotel because you are worried about me. How can you want a forever with me?”

Damon cups my face in his hands. “Don’t ever question whether I want you or not. I took one look at you and, in that second, decided you were mine. I’ve done devious things to get to you, and I would kill to keep you. I love you, Lily.”

I gasp as tears fill my eyes. “You love me?”

I wasn’t sure whether what I was feeling was love or lust, but as I stared back at Damon, I knew in my heart and soul that I was in love with him.

“Fuck yes, I love you,” he says, bringing my lips to his.

“I love you, too,” I confess.

Damon climbs back on top of me, and we spend the next hour saying I love you while I have two more orgasms.
