Chapter 4 #2

This was supposed to be the easy part. Rope, restraint, control.

I could do this in my sleep. But as I worked the last of the slack into a neat hitch, I was too aware of her scent, clean, faintly floral.

The warmth radiating from her skin. The quiet steadiness with which she accepted each new tether.

She wasn’t the spoiled brat I’d expected. She wasn’t brittle or cold. She was… contained. Every breath, every shift in muscle under my hands said she was used to holding herself in check. And I could feel that part of her, the one she kept locked away, pressing against the cage.

This is a mistake.

The thought was sharp enough to cut through the low hum of the room. Using rope to get close to someone was personal. Intimate. And here I was, doing it under false pretenses. Ruining a submissive’s trust was the one line I’d sworn I wouldn’t cross.

But damn it… I didn’t want to stop.

I stepped back to take her in. The rope diamonds hugged her frame, the vertical lines running from her hair down her spine, drawing the eye to the entire canvas of her body. She was art. My art. And I disliked how often I found myself forgetting about the job entirely.

I let my gaze linger on her a little too long. The rope cradled her curves, the lines drawing my attention to every place the knots held her, every subtle rise and fall of her breathing.

I should have been thinking about the job. About the next steps, the timing, the clean exit.

Instead, I was thinking about her.

It was easy to have someone figured out in minutes.

The scene was just a formality to prove what I already knew.

Most came to me for pain because it was what I was known for.

The resident sadist. They wanted bruises to admire in the mirror, stripes to photograph, proof of endurance.

And I gave them what they wanted. Clean, precise, and then I moved on.

But with her… I didn’t want to move on.

Her reactions were a study in contrasts. The regal stillness she’d held when I tied her hair into the hitch, the faint catch of her breath when the rope pulled. The way her eyes met mine without challenge, yet still held some unnamed question.

I wanted to explore that question. I wanted to see all the layers under her control.

Discover what she’d do when there was nowhere to hide.

The dossier and the woman standing in front of me were beginning to look like two different people.

The file described an oligarch’s daughter.

The woman in front of me looked like someone trying very hard not to drown.

The thought was dangerous, and I knew it was just an excuse, a way to make this feel less like betrayal and more like rescue.

But another part of me whispered that maybe it could be both.

Either way, I wanted to take her there, to the edge, into subspace, and watch her fall into that beautiful, weightless place where worry couldn’t reach her. I wanted to see her beauty not just displayed, but blossom.

I stepped closer, letting my hands trail lightly over the ropes crossing her torso. “From here,” I said quietly, “we’re going to start slow. You’ll feel different textures, different sensations. Some will build, some will tease. All you have to do is stay present. Let go.”

I took a soft rabbit-fur mitt from the table beside us and began to trace along the topmost diamond of rope across her chest. Her breath caught, a small shift that tugged the rope at her hair. She stilled again quickly, but I’d seen it and filed it away.

The mitt moved lower, skimming over her stomach, catching on the edges of the knots. “Part of sensation play,” I murmured, “is contrast. You don’t get to choose what comes next. You just experience.”

The fur was replaced by my hand, warm and slightly rough, gliding over the same path but pressing into the rope now, making her feel its bite against her skin. She inhaled sharply.

Good.

I circled behind her, running my fingers over the vertical line that connected the harness to her hair. “Every movement you make tells me something,” I said, close to her ear. “Even the ones you don’t mean to make. I read them. I use them.”

She exhaled, long and slow, as if the truth in that statement sank past the surface.

And for the first time all evening, I realized I hadn’t thought about the job in several minutes.

That should have concerned me more than it did. But not tonight. Tonight I was going to see how far she could go, and how much more beautiful she’d be when she came back from it.

As I stood behind her, I could feel the energy between us thrumming, electric with unspoken possibilities. With each drag of my hand over the rope, I felt her body respond, tensing, relaxing, bracing for whatever came next.

“Remember,” I whispered against her ear, “the more you surrender, the more you’ll feel.”

I reached for another tool, this time a soft feather. I let it dance across the ropes, teasing her skin beneath, tracing the lines of her body, the contrast between the rough texture of the jute and the lightness of the feather creating a symphony of sensations.

Her breath hitched again, a soft moan escaping her lips as I continued the exploration. I watched her closely, every quiver, every involuntary response feeding into the rhythm of our shared experience.

“Let it go,” I urged softly, still behind her. “Just be in this moment, with me.”

The feather glided over her abdomen, skimming the edges of the knots. I could feel her body arching slightly, seeking more contact, more friction. I could sense the delicate balance of control and desire warring within her, something I thrived on.

Then, I switched it up, replacing the feather with my fingertips, pressing deeper into the lines of rope.

The warmth of my touch contrasted with the coolness of the air, igniting the sensitive skin underneath.

With each caress, I sought to open her up, to draw forth the need that simmered beneath her composed exterior.

“Do you feel that?” I murmured, my voice low and steady. “Every moment, every touch, pulling you closer to the edge.”

She nodded slightly, her breath quickening, and I could see the glimmer of something raw in her eyes. I pressed forward, my fingers tracing the ropes, applying just enough pressure to remind her of her restraints while I explored the pathways of her pleasure.

“Let go of the need to hold back,” I encouraged, slipping my hand lower, teasing the line between restraint and release, the tension building like a coiled spring. “Just feel.”

Her body responded to my words, softening, surrendering to the sensations. I could see the moment she reached that tipping point, the way her breath stuttered, the way her muscles clenched and released in rhythm with the increasing pace of my touch.

“Just let it happen,” I breathed, as I pushed her toward the precipice. “I’m here with you. You’re safe.”

And then, in that sweet, dizzying moment, I allowed her to tip over the edge, the world collapsing into a brilliant burst of sensation. The ropes, the touches, the connection between us pulsed with life as she finally surrendered to the waves of pleasure.
