Epilogue
Hill
ONE YEAR LATER
I whistle obnoxiously as I drag the axe behind me. Lucian rolls his eyes and Menace smiles as we walk through the house.
“What?” I ask Lucian.
“You’re annoying,” he says, but smiles. “You two ready? They’re already drugged with that paralytic. We can take our time if we want.”
Lucian finally found his first foster family. It took him close to three years once he started digging. Those fuckers did not want to be found. But being married to a supermodel with endless money and resources, we figured it out.
Menace and I got married about six months after he proposed over a target and I couldn’t be happier.
Even though we joked about the size of our wedding, we only had about twenty people in attendance.
Sya, Menace’s manager, wanted it to be the wedding of the century, but with the small number of guests, she had to settle for the wedding of the decade.
That doesn’t mean it wasn’t extravagant. Hella sponsors caught wind of Menace getting married to a man—even though he’s been openly gay his entire career—and wanted in on the progressive step forward in the modeling world. We only paid for our rings.
During the wedding, Menace introduced Sya to Lucian, saying that he could possibly replace him as her client.
Though Lu is shorter than most models, he’s so pretty that Sya didn’t hesitate to offer to manage him, saying if she couldn’t get him on the runway, she could try to get him some television shows and movies.
Lucian loves his job as a journalist but couldn’t turn down doing something more with his life.
So far, he’s made guest appearances in three TV shows and has an audition as a supporting character for an upcoming vampire movie.
It’s not the direction he thought his life would go in, but I can tell he’s happy with the trajectory.
In just a few short months, Menace will be walking his last runway, a retirement fashion show Sya set up. He has tons of endorsements that he’ll still be working with, but he’s done with the busy life of a model.
I can’t wait. We have so many vacations set up that we’re eager to go on, especially to Thailand. He can’t stop gushing about it and I want to see what the hype is all about.
Since we’ll both be jobless, we won’t have to stop traveling until we want to.
Menace convinced me to quit the paper so I could see the world with him and I happily said yes.
I made the excuse with Clifton that I was too shaken up by my attack to continue to work there, but he didn’t want to let me go completely.
We settled on him offering me a few article topics every few months and if I wanted to take the assignment, he’d pay me as a freelancer.
After the wedding, I moved into Menace’s condo and since Lucian started to get consistent work, he bought one in the same building. So, I still get to see my roommate all the time, but he doesn’t have to hear me and my man fucking.
There has been a lot of fucking since we got married. The few nights we spent together didn’t do it justice if I’m honest. There’s something about fucking your husband that just hits different.
Like earlier today. Before we left to come on this mission, Menace had me bent over the kitchen island, drilling into me so deeply I thought he’d strike gold.
I can feel him with every step I take, especially because he put a plug up my ass, so I don’t waste a drop of his seed.
It presses against my prostate with each step, giving me a perpetual hard on that I had to cover with extra tight briefs.
Menace knows though, the secret smile flashing across his face every so often.
Lucian walks over and picks up the axe so it’s no longer making a track across the floor. “That sound is fucking annoying, Hill. I know you want everyone to know you’re finally using an axe but come on. Be kind to my poor ears.”
I told Lucian all about my date with Menace and how I wanted to use an axe on a kill.
The other kills Menace and I have done were all made to look like an accident, so I couldn’t.
But when Lucian said he found his foster parents and wanted it to hurt, he told me I could finally chop someone’s head off.
These fuckers treated Lucian terribly, not bathing him for days on end, feeding him one meal a day, and keeping him locked in a room until they felt like letting him out to use the bathroom. All for a check.
And they didn’t have to pay for any of it.
Now, he’s going to make them.
“Fine,” I grumble, hoisting the axe over my shoulder. “You take the fun out of everything.”
“Do I?” he asks pensively. “Or do you just like to play with your food?”
“Two things can be true at once,” I retort. Menace laughs and throws an arm over my shoulder, being careful of the axe blade.
“Yeah, Lucian,” he agrees, kissing my cheek. “Two things can be true at once.”
It’s Lucian’s turn to roll his eyes. “I swear I don’t like you two being married. You always gang up on me.”
Passing the axe to Menace, I hug Lucian around the neck, making him giggle. “You love us, admit it. We’re the highlight of your day.”
“You’re something,” he grumbles, “but I wouldn’t call it a highlight.” He tosses my arm from his shoulder and takes the axe from Menace, pushing into my chest. “Now let’s get this done. You want to use an axe so badly, but you’re taking forever to do it.”
We step into the bedroom where Lucian’s old foster parents are and I smile. They’re sprawled on their backs, nothing moving but their chests and their eyes. They look frightened, especially when their eyes land on Lu.
He smiles, looking so angelic no one would suspect he’s a cold-blooded killer. “I’m back with my friends like I promised. One of them even brought you a gift.” He motions toward me and the axe, and I bow deeply. “He’s eager to put it to use.”
“Lovely to meet you two,” I say, bowing again to each of them in turn. “Thank you for being my test subjects. I bet my husband five grand that I can take your head off in one swipe. Let’s hope I can get it done because I don’t have five grand.”
Tears pour down the man’s face, and his wife looks like she’s passed out. Whatever. They weren’t sorry when they were mistreating Lucian and probably dozens of other kids. Fuck their tears and regrets now.
“Baby,” I say over my shoulder, letting their terror wash over me.
“Yes, my little psycho?” Menace wraps an arm around my waist and kisses my cheek.
“Can you turn them to their stomachs? I think it’ll be easier to lop their heads off without their chins in the way.”
“You got it.” Menace nudges against my ass, pushing the plug in a little deeper. I bite my lip, fighting back a moan.
He steps around me and flips the woman first, then the man. Menace is even so polite as to push her hair out of the way, so I don’t have any obstacles.
Before I raise the axe, I ask Lucian, “You wanna try? The axe isn’t that heavy.”
He looks thoughtful, then grins and nods. “Yeah. I’ve never used an axe either.”
I chuckle, then step over to the wife. “I would ask if you have any last words, but you can’t talk huh? I’ll make some up for you.” In a high-pitched voice, I say, “No, please don’t’ kill me, we didn’t mean it. That about sum it up?”
Lucian cackles beside me and I raise the axe and bring it down on her neck. Her head lops off cleanly, rolling over to her husband.
“Whoo!” I cheer, holding the axe over my head. “You owe me five grand” I say to Menace.
“I’m good for it,” he murmurs. “As soon as we get home, I’ll give you five grand and about eight inches.”
“Fucking barf,” Lucian says, taking the axe from me. “You two are like horny teenagers.” He hefts the axe high, testing the weight. “Fuck, this is heavy as fuck. How did you manage to get it through on one strike?”
“When you bring it down,” I explain, “let the weight work with you. Add all your weight with the heaviness.”
Lucian tries what I said, but the blade gets stuck. I have to use my foot to pull it from the man’s neck so he can try again. Lucian smiles. “I bet that hurt.”
“Oh, I’m sure,” I say. Menace just chuckles.
He chops one more time, cutting his head off.
Lucian lets out a long sigh. “That was cathartic. I think I’ll go axe throwing one day.”
We go about spreading gasoline around the house, adding paper and cardboard so a fire will catch.
Once the house is covered and we’re outside, Lucian lights a Molotov cocktail and tosses it through the living room window.
With a whoosh, fire lights up the night, flames billowing out of the broken window.
He smiles as a wave of heat rolls across his face. “Thanks for joining me, you two.”
“You’re welcome,” I whisper, wrapping my arm around his shoulder so we can watch the flames devour his past.
“Is that the last of them?” Menace asks. “If there are more, we can find them.”
“Nope,” Lu says. “That’s it. My last demons. Now I can join you and Hill if you’ll let me.”
“Always room for one more,” Menace says.
I love how they’re friends, too. I was worried that whoever I ended up with would question my friendship with Lucian and give off jealous vibes. But the two of them hit it off quickly.
Since Lucian is in the industry now, Menace has been showing him the ropes, helping him avoid any predatory photogs and deals.
Sya does what she can, but she hasn’t been modeling in over thirty years.
She can only do so much. But Menace still has knowledge of whom to watch out for and tells Lucian if he asks.
When we hear the sirens in the distance, we give the house one last look then take off—Lucian heading for his car, Menace following me to mine.
Every chance I get, I’ve been driving this expensive-ass European car, making sure I get Menace’s money’s worth. Even after a year of constant driving, it handles well and is good in the shitty snowy weather of New York.
“You used that axe well,” Menace says, leaning over to press a hand between my leg.
I grunt and spread more for him. “Did I? It’s about time you watched me work.”
“My dick was hard the entire time.” He leans over and nips my earlobe, and I have to fight to keep my eyes open. “All I could think about was my cum in your ass, waiting for me to fuck more in there after you were done.”
Without hesitation, I find the nearest alley and pull over. Car in park, I strip out of my pants and straddle him, rubbing my plug against his erection. “Don’t make promises you can’t keep, Menace.”
Grinning that sharp grin I’ve come to love, he pulls the plug out and tosses it into the backseat. He makes quick work of his pants, then stuffs me full of his cock.
I hiss at the intrusion, but arch into him, wanting more.
Menace grabs my chin and brings my mouth close to his. “I love you so much, little psycho,” he mutters against my mouth, rolling his hips into me.
“I love you too. Now fuck me hard and deep. Add more of your seed to my hole so I can feel it dripping out of me as we drive home.”
“Anything for you, baby.” Then Menace grabs my shoulders and fucks into me, making me scream his name over and over.
