Extract - Possessed by the Pack

A low growl sounded from behind him, and Colton whipped around, a scream sticking in his throat at the sight of the beast advancing on him.

Colton had seen more than a few werewolves, alphas and regular wolves, but none had been as large as this. His coat was sleek, dark grey, just the right colour to vanish into the shadows that surrounded them.

Colton took one small step back.

He knew, immediately, that he’d made a mistake.

The wolf’s growl changed, and its body shifted, ready to pounce. Colton forgot about the dagger in his pocket, spinning on his heel and running for the trees.

He didn’t make it. A heavy weight landed on his back, sending him sprawling on the ground, and all the air punched from Colton’s lungs. He groaned and froze when the wolf growled in his ear this time, hot breath skittering over his skin.

Fuck. Fuck. Even as he knew this had been the worst idea he’d ever had, Colton couldn’t ignore the way part of him felt soothed for the first time in weeks. He’d found the wolves he’d been after.

Well, one of them, at least.

The weight on his back shifted, and then Colton was being hauled up by the back of his jacket. The man pushed Colton toward a tree, spinning him so his back hit the bark with a hard thud. Colton groaned again. He hurt all over.

He didn’t have time to dwell on that. The stranger was suddenly in his space, and Colton was torn between sheer terror and a low thump of desire in his stomach as he realised the man was naked.

Colton dragged his eyes over miles of delicious muscles, and it was only when he looked up that he realised the man was looking at him, a smirk playing at the corners of his mouth.

“Like what you see, hunter?”

Colton kept his gaze steady, even as he wanted to look lower. The man stepped closer, one leg slipping between Colton’s. Heat poured off his massive frame, and Colton swallowed hard.

“I – I’m not—”

“Not a good hunter? Sure. But you are one, anyway.”

Fuuuuck. What was worse than getting caught? Getting caught and then being immediately found out. It wasn’t like the wolves could ransom him or anything like that, but Colton knew the chances of him getting out of here alive had just plummeted.

“No. I was just—”

The man reached and pulled Colton’s dagger from his pocket. He turned it this way and that, examining it in the moonlight before he tossed it into the trees. Colton gaped at him.

“Hey!”

The stranger snorted. He crowded even closer, so they were pressed together, and Colton had to tilt his head back to maintain eye contact. The thigh between his legs pressed against his pelvis, and Colton whimpered when his cock stirred.

“Oh, that’s a delightful little sound,” the man said. “Can I hear it again?”

“I – What, you—” Colton’s breaths came faster.

The man smiled. Colton couldn’t describe it as anything but wolfish, and he got the sudden sense that this stranger wanted to devour him in an entirely different way.

Was he against that?

“What’s your name, pretty hunter?”

Colton swallowed. He could lie, but he didn’t think he’d get away with it. Not when the man tensed his thigh again and Colton’s hips jerked forward of their own accord.

“C – Colton.”

“Colton.” His name dripped from the stranger’s lips like honey, and Colton whimpered again.

“I’m Royce.”

He looked unaffected, damn him, and Colton pressed his hands against the tree trunk to stop himself from reaching out.

“Did you think it was a good idea to run from a wolf, Colton?”

Colton bit his lip and shook his head. His whole body trembled. He wanted...

“I caught you.” Royce leaned down and licked along Colton’s jaw. “That makes you mine.”

Pleasure and fear twisted in Colton’s belly. Royce moved against him, giving Colton just enough friction that his cock swelled in his cargo pants.

“I’m not,” he mumbled.

“Oh?”

Royce stepped back all at once, and Colton whined when cold air rushed in between them. No! He pushed off from the tree before he could think, and then Royce was crowding him back again, this time grabbing Colton’s wrists and pinning them above his head.

His eyes flashed silver as he looked Colton over. What did he see? Colton struggled to catch his breath, and when Royce’s eyes lingered on his crotch, he rubbed against Royce’s naked thigh desperately.

Royce chuckled. “That what you want, little hunter?”

“I – I—”

“You’re a desperate little thing, huh? Pretty little slut out looking for some wolves to play with.”

Colton shook his head, squeezing his eyes shut. “No, I – I wasn’t, I just—”

“You just, what? You thought you could bring us in all by yourself?” Royce’s voice dropped low, his lips almost pressed against Colton’s ear. “No. You knew what was going to happen when you came out here. You knew we’d overpower you. You knew you’d have to take whatever we wanted to give you.”

Colton whimpered. He didn’t want that… did he? Only, his cock was aching now, underwear damp, and he couldn’t stop the abortive thrust of his hips as he tried to get more friction.

Royce chuckled and moved, pressing his thigh more firmly against Colton’s cock.

“Go on then,” he said. “Show me just how desperate you are to be our little pack slut.”
