Chapter 5 Enzo ’The Prince’ Castiello #2

Senator Abbot slammed his fist on the desk. "You heard me. Your father needs me. I wash his hands, and he washes mine. And unless you motherfuckers want a RICO case, you'll uphold your end of the deal your daddy made and take care of my fucking problem."

"At least we know why he's so bold to speak to you that way," Cenzo commented. His hand had been itching to go for his gun since the man walked into the room, and he was waiting for Enzo to give the command—silent or verbal—and he would pull the trigger.

"Senator, please allow me to speak on your behalf," the assistant said, seeing the situation get out of hand.

"Fine," Senator Abbot agreed with a wave of his hand.

Enzo rolled his eyes at the senator, then looked at the woman. "Are you going to attempt to sprinkle sugar on shit and try to sweeten this deal?"

The woman smiled and shook her head. "The senator has been under a lot of stress and spoke rudely to you, and for that, I apologize."

"Your apology isn't accepted as you didn't make the offense," Enzo stated.

"You can't apologize for someone else's actions.

" He frowned and turned to Cenzo. "You know, I've never understood why people think they can do that.

How do you think it's your responsibility to take on the accountability of others? "

Cenzo chuckled. "Yeah, me neither. This asshole popped off at the mouth; he's lucky I didn't pop him in the mouth."

"Please, gentlemen, we really do need your help," the assistant said in her attempt to calm the waters that had become turbulent before.

"I'm listening," Enzo said, because in spite of the fury burning in his veins, he was a professional.

"Mr. Castiello, we've been getting messages asking for the money or they'll publicly release photos and other information that is incriminating," the assistant said.

"So, you want us to find out who these people are, gather all of the evidence, and get rid of the problem?" Enzo asked.

"Yes, and we'd like to know how much you are asking."

"What is the evidence? We need to know," Enzo said.

The senator coughed and looked away as he adjusted his suit. The bodyguard stirred, then moaned as he came to. He groaned as he rose and staggered a bit.

"Welcome back," Enzo said with a smirk.

"Fucking kid," the bodyguard grumbled and sneered at Sergio, who was still sitting silently on the sofa.

The senator sneered. "You're fucking useless, letting a damn kid lay you out. What the hell am I paying you for?"

The bodyguard frowned and apologized, but Senator Abbot simply brushed him off with a dismissive wave. The bodyguard then closed his mouth and stood by, which was his job.

"I'm still waiting on what you want us to gather. We need to know to make sure we get the right evidence," Enzo said.

"Senator Abbot, on occasion, has spent time with people who are considered 'underaged.' We need those photos and any financial information that leads a paper trail back to him to be destroyed," the assistant said.

Enzo's expression remained unreadable as he thought about the situation. He nodded. "Very well. Three hundred thousand, half up front today, and the other half after the job is done."

"Are you kidding me? You're asking for more than what they're demanding!" Senator Abbot fussed incredulously.

"Want it done cheaper? Then leave," Enzo said.

The assistant held her hand up. "That is very reasonable, Mr. Castiello."

"If you think so, send the first half to this account." Enzo motioned to Cenzo, who walked over to the assistant, and the two exchanged the info. Once the money was transferred, Cenzo returned to his place beside Enzo with a nod of confirmation.

"We'll get right on it," Enzo said. "Now, if you don't mind." He motioned to the door.

"Yes, thank you. I've given you everything we have on them. I hope you can resolve this quickly," the assistant said.

"And efficiently, yes," Enzo nodded.

The senator rose, an air of arrogance circulating around him like a stench as he adjusted his suit once more before whirling around and leaving with his bodyguard and assistant in tow.

"Piece of shit child rapist," Enzo said.

"Are you really going to take his case?" Cenzo asked.

"Yes, because I want to know who these motherfuckers are sex trafficking kids. We find out who they are, put them six feet under, get paid, then kill that fucking senator," Enzo said.

Cenzo chuckled. "That sounds more like it. Shall I get Mr. Andrews on it?"

Enzo nodded. "The sooner, the better."

"What about the Jade Dragon Triad?" Cenzo asked, knowing they were their main priority at the moment. Enzo damn near became the head of the family when his father was attacked. It was thanks to Akari and Akane's skill that Rico survived. The JDT had to be dealt with.

Enzo sighed. "We're going to have to take action. I want to take down Li Mujin, but we can't rush into it. The Lords are sending their best enforcer our way: Diego 'Dragon' Murphy. Once he gets here, we'll form a plan on how to take them down."

"Gotcha. I'll take care of this senator shit with Julian," Cenzo said, referring to Mr. Andrews.

Enzo watched his best friend leave his office, then looked at Sergio. "That asshole was a piece of work, wasn't he?"

Sergio snorted and nodded. "You could have killed him at any time. Why was he so arrogant?"

"Because people like him—those who have gotten away with fucking people over their whole lives and never had to face any consequences for their actions—are like that. It's up to people like me to put them in their place," Enzo said.

"Can I kill him when it's time?" Sergio asked.

"Not before I have my way with him. He all but called a n—"

"I want to slit his throat for that shit," Sergio said, unintentionally cutting Enzo off.

Enzo chuckled. "I appreciate you being insulted on my behalf."

Sergio nodded. "I want him to suffer."

"Then he's yours. But first, I need your head in the game regarding the triad," Enzo said.

"I'm ready."

"Good." Enzo wanted Li Mujin in his trap. If he could use Da Han's son as leverage, maybe they could end the war and kick the Jade Dragon Triad out of the country. Send them back to China where they came from.
