Chapter 16
Chapter sixteen
Nathan
Nathan sat in Vito's office, listening to the status of their current situation. He and his sons had been kept busy taking out Da Han's people, and he couldn't help but wonder if they were undercharging the Castiello family for their services.
"Are you bored?" Vito asked him.
"Me?" Nathan replied.
"Yes, you. You're sitting over there like you have better things to be doing," Vito said.
Nathan shrugged. "Killing is what I do. You give me a target, and I will take them out. Right now, since we're just cooling our heels, I'm wondering if I can visit your strip club."
"You should be wondering about how you're going to kill Tian Yu since your son failed," Vito pointed out.
"He's gone into hiding right now, but my sons and I have taken out other targets, narrowing down your problem. And trust me, as soon as we know where he's at, I'll take that son of a bitch out personally," Nathan said.
Vito scoffed as he leaned back in his chair. "Fine. What's this about the strip club? One of my strippers caught your fancy?"
"To be honest, yeah. Bailey, I'm interested in him," Nathan said.
"Well, he still has a debt to pay, but how well do you know him?" Vito asked.
"Not much; we've only met the one time. Let's just say that he left a lasting impression on me," Nathan said.
"On your dick, you mean," Vito countered.
"He didn't fuck me."
"But you wanted him to," Vito smirked.
Nathan sighed. "Is he one of your professionals?"
Vito chuckled. "Willing to pay for his ass, I see.
" He shook his head. "He used to be, but not anymore—well, he does have that choice.
He can fuck any John he wants; the business gets a cut.
" He leaned forward, smirking. "Do you think he's interested in you?
He didn't choose to fuck you, even though the decision was his. "
Nathan gave a soft chuckle and sighed as he crossed his leg. "I can tell that there's something that can grow between us. And as for him choosing not to fuck me, maybe that's because, to him, this place is a dirty prison he didn't want to sully our potential relationship with."
Vito sat back, his eyes narrowing as he thought about how he and Zindel met.
"To each their own, I suppose. I fucked my Minx right on this desk.
.." he paused to point to where the glass of brandy Nathan had been sipping on sat.
"His ass was right there when I rammed my cock into him for the first time.
I think our relationship bloomed beautifully within these 'dirty prison-like' walls. "
Nathan laughed then and nodded. "I see you took offense. I assure you, none was intended on my end. I'm simply speculating as to why Bailey turned me down since you brought it up."
Vito smirked, then waved his hand, dismissing the issue. "Fair enough."
Nathan thought about the circumstances. Did he want to fuck Bailey like a whore, or did he want to fuck him like he was the only man allowed to do it? He wanted Bailey for himself. Just the thought of another man having his way with Bailey pissed him off.
"Does he have days off?" Nathan asked.
Vito nodded. "He does, but let me ask you something."
"Go ahead."
"Are you serious about him or just want a quick fling?"
"I haven't been serious about anyone romantically. But all I can say is that Bailey captured my attention. What that means, I don't know," Nathan said.
"From what I know of Bailey—and it's not much—do you think he can handle what you do? I mean, living this life for so long, he might not want any part of it," Vito said.
"Well, I'm not going to open with it. I just want to have a conversation with the man when he's not grinding his ass on my cock," Nathan said.
Vito laughed at that and nodded, then texted Nathan Bailey's schedule for the next three weeks.
Nathan looked at the schedule, reading the name: Bailey Whitley. He chuckled to himself. So, he was telling me the truth about his name.
"He doesn't have set off days because it's according to when he's needed for business purposes. But that's what you need. My suggestion to you would be to wait until all of this shit is over with before you pursue him. I can always resend you his updated schedule."
"I appreciate that. I want to see him, can I?"
"Stubborn, I see."
"Just determined."
Vito scoffed. "Be my guest," he said, then gestured towards the door.
Nathan found himself again waiting in the VIP room to see Bailey, and for some reason, he was nervous about this meeting.
Unlike before, when he just wanted to be entertained and get his rocks off, this time he just wanted to talk.
He looked up when the door opened, and Bailey sauntered in wearing leather pants so tight he could swear he saw the veins in the imprint of his cock.
The leather-studded harness beautified his already perfectly toned torso and made Nathan's mouth water.
"You again, hun?" Bailey said in a seductive voice as he made his way over to Nathan. "To what do I owe the pleasure?" he asked as he sat down on Nathan's lap and wrapped his arms around the man's neck.
"The pleasure is all mine, but I wanted to talk to you," Nathan said.
Bailey nodded. "What do you want to talk about?" he asked as he began to grind his hips to the melody of the music playing. The movement gave Nathan's cock the perfect amount of stimulation, and he found himself growing hard, groaning in pleasure.
It felt amazing having the sexy twink work him over like that, but it was also making it impossible for him to focus on the conversation he wanted to have. He grabbed Bailey's hips and lifted him up with ease, making the man yelp before placing him on the sofa beside him.
"What did I do wrong?" Bailey asked, his brows creased with concern.
Nathan shook his head. "You didn't do anything wrong. I just wanted to talk to you, and this is the only time I have at the moment."
Bailey gave him the side-eye. "Oookaay, what do you want to talk about?"
Nathan licked his lips and thought about what he wanted to say. "Shit... this is harder than I thought it was going to be. This isn't necessarily the environment for this type of conversation, if you know what I mean?"
"I'm not so fragile that I'll run screaming if you say something crazy," Bailey said, hoping to ease the man's mind.
Nathan smiled and nodded. "That's good. First, I really want to apologize to you for how I acted the last time."
Bailey smirked. "Is this when you tell me you don't normally behave that way?"
Nathan snorted and shook his head. "That's exactly how I behave when I want something. But I shouldn't have been disrespectful to you. I'll admit, when I want something or someone, I go for it."
"Do you take 'no' for an answer?"
"It's not my practice." Nathan was in the type of business where he heard the word "no" all the time. No, please don't kill me. No, I can pay you more. Shit like that.
"Oooh, so you're the type to believe where there's a will, there's a way?" Bailey asked, both eyebrows cocked inquisitively.
"I'm of the mind that sometimes you have to put in maximum effort for maximum reward."
"And am I supposed to be your reward after all of your effort?"
Nathan blinked, then looked at Bailey before smiling. "I like that in you."
Bailey laughed nervously. "What?"
"You're not afraid to speak your mind."
Bailey shook his head. "I've been through too much to be afraid to be honest with myself and others. I was never the timid type."
"I can respect that. Listen, I wanted to talk to you because I wanted to get to know you more. You really left an impression on me," Nathan said.
"Are you sure that's not the cum stain that was on your pants after our last encounter?" Bailey asked with a bit of tongue in cheek.
Nathan laughed and shook his head. "Well, there was a bit of that too. But no... it was how you handled me afterward and just the way you look. My God, you're gorgeous. I'm not usually the type to want to date. In fact, I don't date. But—"
"Let me stop you. The men who say they aren't usually the type to do this or that are the ones who normally disappoint you in the end," Bailey said. "I don't want you to do things you don't usually do."
"What if you're the exception to the rule?"
"Why is it even one of your rules?"
"In my line of work, things can be complicated, and I just wanted to be upfront and honest with you," Nathan said, but he also wondered just how honest he was going to need to be to get Bailey to give him a chance.
"And all of that is why I think I should keep my distance," Bailey said with a cute smile. He had to learn to deliver rejection as nicely as he could in this business.
"Are you punishing me for being honest?" Nathan asked.
"Punishing you?"
"It seems like you're about to turn me down without giving me a chance," Nathan said.
"Let me ask you something."
"Okay?" Nathan sat up straight, waiting for the question. He was grateful that his arousal had calmed down and he was able to focus on every word spoken.
"Why haven't you dated before?"
"My career doesn't make dating easy."
"Why?"
"I do a lot of traveling."
"Is that the only reason?" Bailey asked with a cocked eyebrow, chin tilted upward.
"No."
Silence split the air between them.
"Well, don't keep me waiting in suspense," Bailey said after a few seconds had passed.
Nathan sighed. "To be honest, when I was younger, I didn't care about being alone. Now, both of my siblings are married, and I'm starting to see what it means to have someone in your life who loves you and with whom you can share everything."
"So, now you're ready to settle down?" Bailey asked.
"I don't know. I just want to see if the remarkable man who made me feel lonely for the first time would give me a bit of his time to see if we could be more than just an occasional acquaintance," Nathan said.
Now, it was Bailey who was at a loss for words.
Nathan leaned over a little. "Will you?"
Bailey licked his lips and cleared his throat. "Why me?"
"Why not you?"
