Chapter 27 Maverick #3

I like that idea, my darling. Marrying both of Da Han's children to our family will solidify our bond. Do you agree, Mr. Mujin? Rico asked.

Da Han took a deep breath because he was willing to marry one child to fulfill the Blood Marriage, but two? "If I marry my children to your family, I expect everything to be split equally between us."

Rico nodded. We share Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Staten Island. The Lords get the Bronx and Queens.

Maverick saw his father's lips pursed and knew he liked the sound of that.

It would seem that Rico was wheeling and dealing the right way.

He was impressed as he watched three of the most ruthless and powerful men he'd ever met come to terms. He knew he could never be a leader; he didn't have the temperament, nor the knowledge to weave his way through the intricacies of negotiation.

His idea of solving problems was to kill the problem, but this 'sit-down' was on another level.

He wondered what his dad and brother thought of it.

"My brother Yufei will control Staten Island along with your people," Da Han said, continuing with the deal.

"Enzo will move to New York and run that territory with your son, Li," Alessia said.

That works, as Vincenzo goes where he does because he's Enzo's right hand and Capo. Your daughter being married to him means she doesn't have to be separated from Li, Rico pointed out.

Da Han nodded. "They'll be married; we'll be family. That's how it should go. Let all the bad blood between us wash away. You lost good people; I lost good people. We don't need to lose anymore."

Maverick liked the way this negotiation was going. It would seem that Da Han came to the table with a plan.

"What about Chicago?" Dasan asked.

"My triad stays on their side; your chapter of the Lords stays on theirs, the way it's always been," Da Han said.

'Not good enough", Rico said. "If we're family, my men should be able to enter your Chicago territory."

"That depends, will it be for business or pleasure?" Da Han asked.

"Pleasure, of course. Business should only be limited to our respective territories. My people won't do business on the north side of Chicago, and yours won't deal on the south side," Rico said.

Da Han huffed, then waved his hand. "Fine. We share all of our territory for pleasure. Regarding the bikers, the Lords keep to their side, and my brother won't enter their backyard, at least not without permission. And vice versa, fair?"

"That works for me. You two can share all you want, but the Lords will only tolerate one biker club in our space, and you all don't even consider yourselves a club. You're a biker gang, and I doubt your people will choose to be a support gang to the Lords," Dasan said.

"Your doubts are correct," Da Han said. "But you won't have to worry about Yufei's gang being in Chicago. I have plans for him to move to New York, Manhattan to be exact. He'll give Li the support he'll need."

"Then that's settled. What about Florida?" Dasan asked.

"Miami is ours," Da Han said.

"Orlando, Miami, and Tampa were ours before your ancestors got off the fucking boat," Dasan stated.

"Jesus fucking Christ," Da Han hissed under his breath. "We have a port down there that I don't think will interfere with whatever the fuck it is that you bikers do when you're not fucking with my business."

"Keep your port," Dasan said. "I understand that Montgomery William-Price is running one of your businesses down there. What's his place?"

Maverick knew why his father was asking, and it was all because of Richie. He knew his dad wanted to know if their friendship was going to be a problem for the Lords.

"That's a non-issue," Da Han said. "Montgomery is married to my son, Ren.

He runs the business I acquired from his father.

That is what he will be doing for me. And since our families are joining, I would hope the alliance the Lords had with the Castiello family extends to my triad.

Doing so would only make things easier and more profitable for all of us. "

This time, it was Dasan who took a few moments to think it over.

"Orlando and Daytona are our territory," Rico signed. "Our alliance with the Lords has opened up more opportunities for us. It is a good deal to consider, Niyol."

Dasan nodded. "So, are we splitting profits evenly? Just because you two decided to tie the knot, don't think that will cut into what my club deserves."

Maverick sat there, feeling his pride rise seeing his father hold his own in a room with these two crime giants. And he was fighting to make sure the Lords got their cut.

This goes both ways, Rico said. With what your future plans are with Richie, we want our cut.

"We'll need your help for production, and we can handle distribution."

Rico shook his head. Not on the level that I'm aiming for.

"What plans?" Da Han asked, looking at both Rico and Dasan.

Rico laughed. Looks like you decided to wise up at the right time. With our families getting married, you have the Asian reach. We have plans to develop a new drug that can make us all billions.

Da Han sat up and leaned forward. "Tell me more?"

"Update. It's not in production. But from what I know, it's past its trials," Dasan said. "The Lords will help transport and produce."

"If this new drug is the next big thing, your club won't be able to handle the level of production or distribution that it will take, especially globally."

"That's why we need the Castiellos," Dasan said.

And that is why we will need each other. Once word of this hits our competition, other drug lords will want a piece of our pie, and I'm not willing to share, Rico signed.

"Fuck if I will," Da Han agreed.

"Well, it looks like we're forming another alliance," Dasan added.

Holy shit, Maverick thought. Billions! The Lords of Chaos MC are about to be swimming in billions. Oh, God bless Richie's drug-creating ass!

"We share the profits equally, then," Da Han suggested.

Rico nodded.

"It's only fair. The drug is ours, and we'll be doing our part in distribution and taking risks all the same. We have reach in New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Florida, Vegas, LA, and London," Dasan said.

Da Han sat back now and looked at Rico. "I have connections all throughout China, America, Korea, Singapore, and Japan."

Rico nodded. We have reach in Atlanta, FL, Chicago, New York, and Italy, as well as Spain.

"South America will be a problem, but it's a goldmine," Da Han said.

Rico nodded. For now, we won't focus on that. Too much competition.

"Agreed." Da Han sighed, then smiled. "So, when do we plan to get started?"

"Once the dust clears, I think," Dasan said.

"After the weddings, Li and Xiù will move to New York with Enzo and Vincenzo," Da Han said.

Rico smiled at that. "And I will return to Orlando. My uncle will move to Las Vegas to run businesses there. Seeing as it's a border territory, I'll need someone I can trust, with experience to handle distribution and production there. Also, working with the Lords will make things run smoother."

"As long as your uncle works with us and doesn't try to run us, we're good," Dasan said, and Maverick knew why.

They didn't know much about Nico, and he'd only told his dad the information he did have: that Nico just got out of prison and had wanted to take over the family back in the day. Dasan—wisely—was cautious.

"I'm about the family. I won't betray my nephew," Nico said with a bit of attitude.

"I don't know anything about you. I'm just taking Rico's word for it," Dasan said. "But if you think the Lords are easy prey, think again."

Nico chuckled and shook his head. "I've seen enough of your club to give you the respect that you deserve."

Dasan nodded because that was good enough.

"If that's settled, let's move on. Vito will continue to run Chicago with Wolf."

"My brother Tian Yu will handle Chicago, keeping our territory as I have businesses there, but Vito is welcome to enter. Same with the Lords," Da Han said.

"Works for me, and I'm sure Wolf will agree," Dasan said.

"Shit, for the amount of money we're all about to be making, hard for him not to go along to get along," Ace said.

Nico chuckled at that but didn't say anything else.

Does anyone have anything else they want to add? Rico asked.

"I don't," Dasan said. "Well, there is one thing. When can we expect our boy Snoopy to return home?"

"Once I leave this meeting, I'll send word to Yufei to release him... unharmed. What about my children?" He turned from Dasan to look at Rico.

Considering Vito has been waiting to get Zindel, I think it's only fair that your people pick up your son and daughter. I'll have my people send you their location once the meeting is adjourned, Rico said.

Da Han nodded. "Once I have my son and daughter safely with my people, I'll have Tian Yu release Zindel."

That works for me, Rico said. One more thing, we need to pick a date for the weddings. The sooner the better. I don't want these matters dragging on.

After the translation from Da Han's man, the Dragonhead nodded. "I'm of the same mind. The sooner we build our new empire, the better. I'll contact you because I'm hoping that sometime in the next thirty days, our families will tie the knots."

"Is Li even gay?" Maverick asked. He couldn't help himself because he'd heard them say that Enzo was gay and Vincenzo was bi, but what about Da Han's kids?

Da Han rose and unbuttoned his suit jacket. "He is, but he's also very assertive. I don't believe he bottoms."

"Neither does Enzo," Alessia said. "Well, these two will just have to learn to get along."

Da Han nodded. "Until we speak again."

Rico nodded, and Da Han left with his two men.

"Do you think we can trust him?" Dasan asked.
