Chapter Seven

BUT THAT’S NOT WHAT YOUR BODY IS SAYING

Antonio

Four months later...

The Wedding of Chantal Douglas-Rizzo and Daniel “Razor” Gonzalez

“We can’t do this right now,” she whispered. “There are hundreds of people here. Anyone could come in here and see us.”

She was right. There were hundreds of people here today. Family, acquittances, heads of the other Families, heads of states. You name it, everyone came to witness the marriage of Don Rizzo’s only daughter, Chantal Douglas-Rizzo, my sister.

However, Aaliyah’s pleas went in one ear and out the other. I didn’t give a damn where we were and who was here. God blessed me by giving me another chance with this beautiful woman. He wouldn’t frown upon me for doing what I was getting ready to do.

Well at least I didn’t think He would.

I hadn’t seen my woman in a few days and hadn’t indulged in her exquisite body for just as long. I’d only been able to hear her sweet voice because of our phone calls, and her absence was driving me insane, to the point where I was willing to fuck her right here in the cathedral with hundreds of people just feet from where I pulled her into a side room. She was crazy if she thought I would let this opportunity pass by just because we were at my sister’s wedding or on holy ground. I knew my sister and her soon-to-be husband would do the same thing if they hadn’t already.

It took everything in me, not to leave Razor’s bachelor party, and crash Chantal’s bachelorette party to take my woman and have my way with her. Naked women nor alcohol compared to Aaliyah. I missed her.

My eyes traced a slow and seductive path down her body, taking in the allure of the stunning woman in front of me. Aaliyah’s beauty was immeasurable. Indescribable. From her face to her perfectly painted manicured toes, she was beyond breathtaking.

We’d been together for months, and I almost fucked this entire thing up, but she forgave me. Now we were minutes away from my sister walking down the aisle and all I wanted was to bury myself deep inside her tight warmth.

I glided my hands up her bare arms, loving the feel of her silky skin against my fingertips, bringing her closer to me. I could only imagine my Nonna’s disapproving headshake, and signature frown if she’d ever caught wind of how I defiled the holy grounds of the cathedral.

A wide smile spread across my face. Nonna always said I’d be the one grandchild that went to Hell. For just a taste of Aaliyah, right now, I would gladly accept that fate.

“I hear the words coming out of your mouth, but that’s not what your body is saying, Bella.”

I nibbled on her earlobe, feeling the softness against my lips, and slowly traced my fingers up her thighs, savoring the warmth beneath my touch. When I reached the intimate, moist area between her legs, her lips parted, releasing a deep, primal moan.

“You want me just as bad as I want you. We might be in church, but you want me to fuck you Aaliyah, just as bad as I want to fuck you.”

“Antonio,” she whispered her hands clutching my shoulders.

“Say my name again,” I commanded, my words filled with lust.

“Antonio.”

“You’re so wet, my love. Your panties are soaked.”

“That may be, but... but what if someone sees us?” she asked, her question coming out in a breathless pant as her center thrusted against my touch.

“What will they do, Aaliyah? Hmmm?”

I pushed the thin material covering her wet pussy to the side, granting my fingers access to her protruding bud and wet folds. “Baby, I don’t give of fuck if someone catches us. It was you who wanted to keep us a secret until after the wedding. Let them all find out. Let them see me ravish your beautiful body. Let them hear your moans of pleasure.”

“Oh god,” she moaned.

“I haven’t been able to see you these last couple of days or feel your juices soak my cock.” I brushed my lips against hers as I spoke, cupping her breast through her dress with my hand. “Let the world find out I’m in love with the most sexy, intelligent woman alive and that I can’t keep my hands off her. I don’t give a fuck what they see or what they hear. I need you. I need to be inside you.”

We’ve had this same conversation for the past few months, at least since we decided we wanted to commit to one another. She decided it was best to keep our relationship a secret from our families, at least until after Chantal’s wedding.

Once we had the mishap with Francesa almost causing me to lose everything, I didn’t want to wait any longer. I kept my father in the dark about who she was, but I let him know I was in love, and he’d meet her soon. It wasn’t necessary for him or my mother to continue with the matchmaking. For the time being he wasn’t hassling me about my mysterious woman, and agreed to stop the arranged marriage bullshit, as long as my relationship was headed for marriage. I assured him that it was and today everyone would know Aaliyah Solarin was mine, whether she wanted them to or not.

From the moment Aaliyah entered the room at my future brother-in-law’s house, I knew I wanted a future with her. Her intelligence and beauty captivated me. While I tried to downplay my attraction the best I could, with every step she took, with every word she spoke, I saw my future in her.

Despite my intentions to hide my attraction when we first met, my future brother-in-law, his friend, Demon, and my little brother called me on my bullshit after Aaliyah left that night. There were no doubts in my mind because there was just something about her. That she would be different from any other woman I’d ever known. Which was why when I escorted her from Daniel’s home, we exchanged numbers so we could keep in touch. I had every intention of trying to have something special with her.

There was an unspoken connection between us, and we both wanted to explore it. Unlike the other women I’d been involved with, Aaliyah fascinated me from day one. She was beautiful, smart, and a part of my world—the criminal world. There would be no hiding the kind of life I led from her, because she’d been a part of the same world since she was young, just like me.

Aaliyah was the total package and would make a wonderful Donna one day. There’d be no parting gifts as I’d done with every other woman I’d ever been with. I planned to marry this woman.

“Baby, you know I don’t want to keep you a secret,” she murmured into my neck, her nails digging into my shoulders, while I continued to rub circles on her clit. “I... I want us to tell our families today if that’s alright with you?”

“That’s all I want. You’re it for me, Bella . I want to share what we have with the world. I want everyone to know you’re the woman I fell in love with. The person I asked to be my wife. My Donna.”

I touched the platinum five carat princess cut engagement ring she hid on a silver chain around her neck, longing for her to wear it but understanding why she couldn’t.

We were getting married this year. We’d already picked a date and started making plans, but no one in our families knew, not even Alessandro, who was the only one who knew we were even together. No one knew in less than four months Aaliyah would be Mrs. Aaliyah Rizzo.

Having to wait pissed me off, but everyone would know, today. Including the Dons of the Scuderi, Cavallaro, Puglisi, and Vitale families. Would it cause a shit storm? Probably, but I would weather any storm to call this woman my wife.

I reclaimed her lips with everything in me. I dipped my finger into her drenched entrance before rubbing her clit until she released a muffled scream, her body trembling beneath my touch.

Aaliyah came into my life like a hurricane and disrupted everything I thought I knew about sex, women, and love. I believed I was doomed to have the same loveless life and arranged marriage as my parents for the sake of the Family. But Aaliyah showed me a different side of relationships and what was possible. She accepted me for who I was, and I accepted her for who she was—a technical genius who was adopted and raised by one of the most notorious criminal minds ever. Now going forward, we start our lives together as one.

“Are you happy?” Her small hands cradled my face. Her eyes filled with tenderness and passion I adored. “I just want to make you happy, Antonio. I know not being able to tell our families about our relationship has been difficult, but I just want everything to go smoothly when we do.”

I couldn’t stop the smile from appearing on my face. Smiling and laughing had become a regular occurrence with her. Before she came into my life, there was no reason to laugh or smile. Death and betrayal surrounded me daily, so those emotions I didn’t share with anyone, including my family. But because of her, my life had changed so much.

Things had changed for the better.

“You transformed my life the day I met you, Aaliyah. You’ve made me the happiest man in the world. I couldn’t imagine my life without you.” I rested my forehead against hers, inhaling her scent of jasmine, rose, and amber. A sense of peace blanketed me. She would always be my peace.

“I love you. Forever and always.”

“I love you too, Antonio. Forever and always.”

“Now, I think you should head back to my sister before I defile you further in the house of the Lord.”

Her gentle laughter filled the small room located off from the church foyer. “I can’t believe, I let you do that here of all places.”

“You couldn’t help yourself.” I licked my finger enjoying the salty taste of her cum. “I’m irresistible.”

She gave me a final peck on the lips, then used her thumb to wipe across them. “That you are.”

The love reflected in her eyes confirmed I made the right decision to ask the woman I loved to marry me. She was my peace, my home, and soon she’d be their Donna.

No matter the repercussions, Aaliyah is my life and soon she will become my wife.

***

I never thought I would enjoy a wedding, but my big sister’s wedding was beautiful, and I was thrilled for her. She looked like an angel walking down the aisle with my father. I was proud of the woman Chantal had become. Growing up without her mom and our dad, was rough although he tried to be in her life as best he could. Despite it all, Chantal was happy, and that was all that mattered.

I smiled when she pulled her husband out on the dance floor. Razor had his issues. Shit we all did, but I never doubted his love for my sister. And while I would protect her always when I wasn’t around, I trusted him to keep her safe.

The large ballroom where the reception was being held was packed with wedding guests drinking, laughing, and dancing. Celebrating the new couple. I searched the throngs of people for the woman who captured my heart. The speeches were done, the first dance was over, and my father had held his only daughter in his arms. Now it was time for me and my future wife to make an announcement of our own.

“It’s time,” I whispered over to Alessandro. His smile brightened. “I’m introducing Aaliyah to Papa.”

“It’s about damn time big bro.” He slapped me on the shoulder. “Papa will give his blessing. Don’t worry about him, mama is the one who’s going to cause problems. Like always.”

“What she thinks doesn’t matter to me anymore.” I shrugged. “She’ll have no other choice but to accept it.”

“And if she doesn’t?” he asked. “You know how vindictive she can be.”

“To hell with her. I’ll deal with her if it comes to that. Aaliyah will be my wife. What she thinks doesn’t matter to me.”

“Then go get your girl.” My brother slapped me on the back again. “And officially welcome her into the family.”

The excitement moving through me quickened my steps to my lovely fiancée. Ignoring the calls from my mother to come and meet another one of the Families’ daughters, I found Aaliyah laughing with Alessandro’s date, Cassidy.

“Excuse me, Cassidy can I borrow Aaliyah for one minute?” The woman nodded, and I grasped Aaliyah’s hand. “Let’s get this done.”

I took her engagement ring off the necklace and put it back where it belonged. She intertwined our fingers together and the smile on her face instantly melted my heart. This was how it should be. We should be happy together.

“Wait. Have you seen Abasi?” she asked, searching the packed reception hall. “We need to tell him first.”

What Aaliyah didn’t know was I had already spoken to Abasi. He was more hurt than upset that we hadn’t come clean to him beforehand, but after a long tense conversation he gave me his blessing along with a stark warning that if I hurt her, no matter the power my father wielded, no one would ever find my body. And that he had no problem going to war with the mafia. It was a sobering reminder of the man Abasi was, but I understood his need to protect Aaliyah, and I expected nothing less from a man like him.

I pointed to Abasi who was looking at us from across the room. When I raised my glass, he returned the gesture, before his focus landed on Aaliyah, who was barely keeping it together. She understood in that moment Abasi was giving his blessing for us to marry. While he wasn’t her biological father, he was her father in every way imaginable. She yearned for his approval in all that she did, including finding her husband. He gave her a slight nod, placed his hand over his heart, and she did the same.

“When?” she asked.

“Not too long after the start of the reception. There was no way I could not ask for your hand in marriage, and not get his blessing. He’s your father, and I would never disrespect him like that.”

“Thank you, Antonio. That means the world to me.”

As we walked towards my parents, I kissed the top of her head and held her close. Everyone’s eyes were on us and that was what I wanted. We needed to make a statement, especially in front of the other Families. Aaliyah would be the new Donna of the Rizzo Family once my father stepped aside. My parents, especially my father, needed to know our relationship was solid, and I had chosen my wife. I had chosen the mother of my children and future heir to our empire.

“What is the meaning of this, Antonio?”

Of course, my mother would be the first one to ask. Her face showed disdain as she glanced back and forth between Aaliyah and me.

“Who is this... this woman?”

Aaliyah tensed next to me, so I pulled her closer to reassure her that I was by her side, regardless of who disapproved. She let herself relax in my presence, leaning against me.

“Papa, you remember Aaliyah, Abasi’s analyst?”

“How could I forget such a beautiful, intelligent woman?” My father smiled and kissed Aaliyah on each cheek. “It’s nice to see you again, dear.”

“It’s nice to see you again, Mr. Rizzo. Mrs. Rizzo, it’s nice to meet you as well.”

My mother ignored Aaliyah and turned her fury to me. “I asked you a question Tony. Who is this woman?”

As she glanced at our clasped hands, her attention was momentarily drawn to Aaliyah’s ring, and then she looked back at me.

I glanced at Aaliyah and gave her a smile. I couldn’t help it. No matter my mother’s bitchy attitude Aaliyah wiped away all the negativities.

“Aaliyah is my fiancée.”

The gasps from my mother and some of the other members of the different organizations eavesdropping on our conversation were expected. I would be marrying someone who was not a full-blooded Sicilian, and I expected everyone to accept her as the new Donna.

The anger and disgust in my mother’s eyes didn’t escape the attention of either me or Aaliyah. I clasped her hand, reassuring her that I would always be by her side.

“You will not marry this woman, Tony!” my mother yelled, causing some of the other guests to look our way. “I forbid it.”

Although I expected her to be upset, I never anticipated her causing a scene, especially in front of the other Families. My father gripped her by her arm and whispered something in her ear only she could hear. Her face reddened when she looked at him before she snatched away and stormed out of the reception hall.

“Aaliyah, you will have to excuse my wife. She’s been a little under the weather lately.” My father embraced me then Aaliyah. “You two come to the house tomorrow, so we can discuss your upcoming nuptials.”

“Thanks Papa.” He nodded and headed towards my sister most likely to say his goodbyes before heading home to deal with my mother and her outburst. No matter how much hate she had for my decision, such disrespect to a Don was inexcusable, even if it was by his Donna. “That went better than expected.”

“She hates me.”

When she glanced up at me, my heart felt heavy with pain. I knew she wanted my mother to accept her, although she already knew that she wouldn’t.

“Remember this is about us.” I pulled Aaliyah to me wrapping my arms around her. “No one else. If my mother can’t get with the program, then fuck her. It’s you and me, Bella . Nobody will come between us. No one. Not even Marianna Rizzo. Do you hear me?”

I refused to have the kind of relationship my mother and father had just for the sake of the Family. For the sake of power. The problems that will come from my mother and whoever else was nothing compared to losing Aaliyah.

Fuck all of them.

“I hear you. I love you, Antonio.”

“And I love you.” I pecked her on the lips. “Now let’s say our goodbyes to the happy couple and finish what we started at the church.”

Her laughter filled my heart with warmth. No one, including my mother, would keep this woman from becoming my wife. I would eliminate anyone who tried to come between us.
