Chapter 25

CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE

Nick

“I bought condoms.” Matt opened his nightstand and pulled out an unopened box.

“Thank fuck.”

He took one out and a bottle of lube and tossed them to the bed. “I don’t even know your preference.” His eyes glittered with lust, which I didn’t even know was a thing.

“Sex, I prefer sex.”

He chuckled and removed his shirt. “I meant, are you a top, bottom, both?”

“Ah.” I took off all my clothes in record time. “If I’m being honest, I prefer to top. I’ve bottomed a couple of times and just…it’s not something I enjoy.”

He nodded and smiled. “I’m vers. I enjoy both, but bottoming is my favorite.”

I jumped onto the bed. “We’re a match made in heaven, then. Get that gorgeous body over here.”

While I’d been tested and knew I was negative across the board, it didn’t feel like the time. I’d never gone bare with anyone, and just because everything felt different, more alive with Matt, I wasn’t going to jump into that conversation tonight.

After he’d divested himself of his clothes, he climbed up my body like a lion stalking his prey. His gaze never left mine, and that alone was like a sexy caress across my heated skin.

“You’re beautiful.” His eyes widened at my declaration, and even I was surprised at how true that was. Matt was beautiful inside and out.

“You’re fucking hot.” He flattened his tongue and licked the head of my cock, eliciting a hungry moan from me.

“Baby,” I whispered.

“You like that?”

“A lot. Suck me, then fuck me.”

He snorted and I smiled, loving that I could make him laugh. Of course, when he engulfed my dick all the way in his mouth, my smile was gone and I shouted like I’d just seen Jesus or something.

“Fuck!”

He popped off and looked at me. “Get me ready, big boy.”

“Turn your sexy body and bring that hole up here.”

He eagerly spun, agile as a dancer, and once his plump ass was in my face, I spread his cheeks and dug in. He tasted how he smelled…euphoric.

I feasted until he was begging for me to stop so he wouldn’t come.

“Not yet.” I poured lube on my fingers and slowly entered him. He was tight, but my rimming had loosened him up nicely.

I pumped in and out, and as soon as I felt that cluster of nerves, I rubbed it.

“Shit, Nick. Fuck me.”

I laughed and removed my fingers. I didn’t give him a chance to figure out how to position himself—as soon as he faced me again, I turned him so he was beneath me.

“Hold on, baby.”

His smile was brilliant. I slid the condom on, poured more lube on my cock, and gently pushed inside his tight, perfect heat.

“Damn,” I breathed against his neck. He had his arms wrapped around me, and he moaned with each inch I sank in.

“Move,” he begged. His body shook, and there was no way I wouldn’t give him what he wanted.

I pulled almost all the way out and pushed back in, faster and faster. We clung to each other as if one strong breeze would separate us and we’d never find the nirvana we were desperately chasing.

“I’m gonna come,” he yelled.

“Do it.”

He arched off the bed, warm come painted his stomach and abs, and it was like a victory in overtime and all I needed for my own orgasm to hit. It felt like I came for forever, and I was fine with that. Right here, like this, was the best place in the world.

The next day Matt had to go into work to meet with his boss, Camie. She had a little girl who needed PT twice a week and since he had Tuesdays and Thursdays open now, he was on the roster. I stayed at his apartment, with his permission, and set up some cameras I’d brought with me from home.

He’d handed me an extra key, which had seemed monumental to me, but I of course acted cool, as if it were nothing while inside I wanted to shake him and ask him what this meant for us.

I refrained because I wasn’t an animal. I was setting up a camera by Matt’s bedroom window when I heard a rattle coming from the living room.

I hadn’t linked the cameras yet, so I couldn’t see anything on my phone but I pulled up the Ring camera. Outside it looked like his landlord, Nicole, was trying to enter his apartment. I knew they had keys, but I also thought that they couldn’t enter a tenant’s home without informing them.

I, on the other hand, had permission to be here. I walked into the living room, rested my butt in the lip of the couch, and waited for her to enter.

Arms crossed, I was pissed. Matt had been through enough. Once the door opened she froze, her eyes meeting mine.

“Well, good morning.” I smiled. “Can I help you?”

“What are you doing in Matt’s apartment?” she asked as she closed the door.

“I should be asking you that question. I was under the impression you had to let the tenant know if you wanted to enter their apartment.”

“Oh, well, Matt knew.”

If he did, he never told me. Was it impossible? No. Did I believe her? Also no, because her lips were moving.

“He never told me, let me just give him a call.” I reached into my pocket, but she took a few steps toward me.

“Wait. Who are you?”

“Me? I’m his boyfriend. I was doing a few things around his apartment today because he was called into work unexpectedly.” I started to dial Matt just as she placed a hand over the phone.

“Okay, he didn’t know I was coming by.”

I put the phone back into my pocket. “Care to explain this, then?”

She sighed. “James told me about Matt’s stalker or whatever they are. I guess Matt explained things to him last night. I heard some banging in here when I went to take out my trash and I guess I’m paranoid. I thought maybe this person was breaking into his apartment.”

“So you thought it was smart to take them on alone…with a key?” I lifted a brow. “Why not call the police?”

“I didn’t think there was time. I wanted to catch them, be able to identify them. Make it end for Matt. He’s such a great guy, I was crushed when James told me this.”

I wished so badly that Four was here. He’d know if she was telling the truth. It was a valid excuse, even if she was violating Matt’s privacy.

“No stalker here, just me. Like I said, I was fixing some things for Matt.”

She darted her eyes around the room. “If something has broken, he simply needs to tell us or open a ticket on the renters app. We, of course, would get it done immediately.”

I smiled. “Nothing with the apartment. A project.”

“I see.” She slipped the keys into her pocket. “Well, I’ll be going. I understand if you need to tell Matt what I did, but I swear there was no ill intent behind it.”

My phone started buzzing in my pocket so I looked and saw it was Matt. “Speak of the Devil.” He’d probably seen her coming in through his Ring camera.

“Say what you need to—I’ll see myself out.”

I answered once she was gone.

“Hello, dear,” I greeted.

“Why was Nicole entering my apartment?” He was livid but I was sure not at me.

I went on to tell him her asinine story. He listened and after I was done, he asked the same thing I was wondering.

“Do you think she’s telling the truth?”

“I don’t know. You mentioned she was nosy, and while it is a fair explanation, with everything going on with you, I can’t rule anyone out.”

He hummed. “I’m glad you were there.”

Warmth filled my belly. “Me too. I’m almost done with the cameras, and then I’ll be able to get it all connected. I can sync them with your phone when you get home, but you can only see one screen at a time on there. I’ll be able to view them all on my computers.”

“Can you connect it with my laptop?”

He was so cute. “I’m sure I could manage something, but you have the one monitor so you’d have to shift back and forth, but maybe six at a time.”

“Jesus, Nick, how many cameras did you put up?”

“Enough. Now go work.”

He chuckled and disconnected.

I had to get this done.
