Chapter Three
Kian saw a few abortive movements while they were walking along the beach that made him think Dorian was reaching for his phone out of habit, but he ignored it.
His sexy vampire had stopped fighting him, and when he sat down on one of the loungers Kian had reserved, Dorian laid back and closed his eyes, giving into the vacation idea entirely.
Kian sat on the edge of Dorian’s chair and was going to summon some sunblock, not wanting either of them to get burned, when a squeaky voice drew his attention.
“Mr. Kian. Would you like refills of your drinks?”
Kian glanced over his shoulder at the little kraken in the resort polo, a tray under one arm and an eager smile on his face. Dorian shifted to look at the newcomer, so Kian decided to make introductions.
“Dorian, this is Mickey. He’ll be our personal server this week.”
Mickey waved with a friendly smile but didn’t get any closer. Smart man. Mates were possessive and knowing Dorian’s current predicament made Kian feel a little feral at the thought of anyone touching his mate right now.
“Good afternoon, Mr. Dorian. We have some blood-based drinks available at the bar, if you’d like to see a menu. Would either of you like an umbrella? I can have one brought over. It’s best to use it when the sun is at its peak.”
Dorian looked curious about the drink options, so Kian put his hand out for the menu, nodding at his own mostly empty glass on the little table between his and Dorian’s loungers.
One of Mickey’s tentacles stretched out, snatching up the glass, and he beamed brightly before scuttling off to get them an umbrella.
“A personal server?” Dorian queried with a raised eyebrow. “Did you really go all out for this?”
“I did,” Kian agreed. “With the help of your friends. The bungalow is a timeshare between Taron, Ozen, and Maverick, but–”
“And me,” Dorian corrected. “Though, I’ll admit I’ve never been. Harlem has used it a few times, though.”
Kian’s expression flattened. “You have a timeshare on a gorgeous beach, and you’ve never used it? How long have you had it?”
Dorian shrank a little, his expression sheepish. “I don’t want to answer that.”
Kian sighed heavily. “I’ve got my work cut out with you. Pick a drink. I need to put sun block on you, and I don’t want Mickey interrupting when I do.”
From the way Dorian’s dark brown eyes dilated, he knew why Kian wanted privacy.
His gaze dropped to Kian’s mouth, and Kian was about to steal a kiss when Mickey popped back up, gesturing for a larger kraken to set up the umbrella near their loungers for a little shade.
He swung his attention to Dorian, that eager smile unwavering.
“Have you decided on a drink, Mr. Dorian? Or do you need a few more minutes?”
Dorian’s gaze shifted to the menu he still hadn’t looked at yet. Unwilling to drag things out, Kian snatched it up, scanning the list and ordering for him. “He’ll have the Bloody Breeze. Don’t go heavy on the rum. I want him relaxed, not drunk.”
Mickey nodded seriously. “We’re always careful with our vampire customers not to offer too much. I’ll make sure it’s safe. Just a moment, I’ll return with your drinks.”
He hurried off again, and Kian turned back to Dorian, scowling at the way he seemed to be holding back a smile. “What?”
“I like when you’re protective. It’s sweet.”
He rolled his eyes hard. “I’m not being sweet. I just don’t want you drunk. I can’t very well take advantage of you if you’re wasted, can I?”
Dorian chuckled, sliding a hand around the back of Kian’s neck to draw him closer. “I wouldn’t be opposed to a little drunken sex, but I appreciate your concern. I’ll be careful not to overindulge.”
He sealed that promise with a kiss, and Kian sank into it, tangling their tongues together in a battle for dominance that left them both gasping when they pulled apart.
Maybe he’d been a little hasty refusing to stay in the bungalow.
He could get Dorian to relax just fine in there.
And he could keep him naked the whole time, too.
A gentle clearing of a throat made him straighten. Mickey was purposely looking at the sky, giving them privacy while waiting for permission to approach. He appreciated the little kraken’s attempt and gestured at the table with a smirk. “You can put the drinks there, thanks.”
“Of course, Mr. Kian. Can I get you anything else?” He glanced at them, then around their table, frowning. “Complimentary sun block? It’s important to protect your skin.”
Chuckling, Kian snapped his fingers, and a bottle appeared in his hand. “I’ve got it. Thanks, Mickey. I’ll let you know if we need anything else.”
Mickey nodded enthusiastically. “There’s a spell on the table to summon me. I’ll be nearby if you need anything at all.”
With that, he hurried off to deal with his other patrons, leaving Kian and Dorian alone. Finally.
First, he handed Dorian his drink, curious if he might like it.
He’d never heard of blood-based drinks, but people were making up new things every day.
It shouldn’t have surprised him. Dorian looked pleasantly surprised by his first sip, and settled more comfortably in his lounger as Kian squeezed some sunblock into his palm and set the bottle aside, running his hands over Dorian’s skin.
He knew he had his mate’s full attention when Dorian set his drink aside, sighing as he melted into Kian’s touch.
The reaction boded well for his plans for later in the week.
Once he was sure Dorian wouldn’t get burnt, Dorian grabbed the bottle and switched places with him, dipping his head for a sultry kiss before he started applying the sunblock.
“Careful, gorgeous. Out of the two of us, I’m not the one afraid of getting caught in public.”
A light flush tinted Dorian’s cheeks, but he gamely kept going, letting his fingers tease over Kian’s nipples. “I think even you would have trouble maintaining discretion this out in the open.”
That sounded like a challenge, and one Kian was more than happy to take. He snagged Dorian’s arm, hauling the vampire into his lap. His mate made a startled sound, but didn’t fight the position, his cheeks darkening as he stared down at him hungrily.
Which reminded him. Dorian hadn’t eaten a proper meal in days. He’d gotten by with quick feedings but had been too exhausted by the time they got home to have a real meal.
Knowing how private Dorian was about his feedings, Kian didn’t say anything out loud.
He nudged the bottle in Dorian’s hand, reminding him of his task while he summoned a mirage spell.
Anyone who looked in their direction would see them lying on their loungers and relaxing.
Only someone staring at them long enough to see the waves of magic would know anything was up, and no one even looked twice at them when they passed. Too busy enjoying their own vacations.
While Dorian was busy rubbing the sunblock on his skin, he tugged their shirts free, grabbing more sunblock to get the spots he’d missed while Dorian was still partially covered.
Hands were everywhere, both of them more focused on the touches than they were about applying the sunblock.
When Kian dragged him down for a hot kiss, Dorian groaned into it, abandoning the task entirely in favor of kissing his mate.
Distracted and horny was exactly where Kian wanted him, but he knew if he wanted to get Dorian to feed, he needed him edging on desperate.
With that in mind, he wrapped one hand around the back of Dorian’s neck to keep their lips together while his other hand slipped into his shorts, cupping one ass cheek and squeezing suggestively.
Dorian groaned, hips rolling automatically before he stiffened and tried to pull away. Nope. Not going to happen.
“Feel the spell? They can’t see us. Focus on me,” he murmured against Dorian’s mouth.
It took a second, but Dorian relaxed by increments when he finally paid attention long enough to notice the spell.
Kian couldn’t keep it up forever, his magic wasn’t that strong, but he could keep it going long enough to get Dorian off.
Especially if he used one of the many tricks up his metaphorical sleeve.
He used Dorian’s mouth on his as a distraction as he tapped the plug, setting off the spell attached to it. Dorian startled, then gasped, eyes wide as dinner plates as the plug started vibrating in his ass.
“K-Kian!” he whispered frantically, eyes rolling back when Kian encouraged his hips to roll in just the right way to cause the plug to push more insistently against his prostate.
“What?” Kian grinned. “You didn’t think I’d just get you a normal butt plug, did you? I thought you knew me better by now.”
“I– Ah! I didn’t think you’d– Oh, goddess, yesss…”
While he was fumbling for his words, Kian had wrestled their shorts down enough to wrap his fist around their cocks. He used the sunblock as lube, since he hadn’t brought any with him, and the combination of sensations had Dorian writhing in Kian’s lap.
Of course, every movement just caused the plug to hit the right spot, so it didn’t take long before his normally tight-laced mate was thrusting into his hand, a whining keen in his throat as the vibrations picked up with another tap of Kian’s finger.
Kian watched his mate fall apart with avid hunger, taking in every twitch in Dorian’s expression as he got closer to release. How the vampire managed to be so gorgeous while whimpering and writhing was a skill not many others had.
He could feel the way Dorian’s body started to tremble, knew his mate was getting close, and used that to his advantage, pulling Dorian’s face against his neck to encourage him to feed.
Dorian didn’t protest, teeth sinking into the column of Kian’s throat, and they both stiffened as pleasure crashed into them like a rogue wave.
“Shiiittt…” Kian groaned, bucking his hips and tightening his grip as he stroked their cocks together, unable to stop himself from seeking more.
Every swallow from Dorian felt connected to his cock, and he lost all sense of reality as the pleasure overwhelmed him.
He came gritting his teeth against a shout, his hand picking up speed as he stroked them through his release.
Dorian was quick to follow him, his moans muffled in Kian’s neck as he pumped his release all over Kian’s chest.
Thankfully, the spell connected to the plug turned off after climax unless set to keep going. Kian didn’t have the wherewithal to turn it off himself for a few minutes while his brain came back online, and he wouldn’t want to hurt Dorian by accident leaving it on while he was still sensitive.
They sought each other’s lips automatically, trading lazy kisses as they came down from such an intense release. When Kian could finally find two brain cells to rub together, he suggested, “We should get in the water and rinse off.”
“Agreed,” Dorian nodded. “In a minute. Not sure I can feel my legs.”
Chuckling, Kian righted their clothes and urged Dorian’s legs to wrap around his hips, carrying him to the water with very little effort. Dorian’s blush said he enjoyed the position and didn’t complain, letting out a happy sigh as the warm water brushed over his skin.
He went deep enough to reach chest level, then set Dorian down so they could clean the cum from their skin. Once that was done, he drew Dorian against him again, sharing another lazy kiss while they drifted in the water.
“Should I expect every day of this vacation to be like this?” Dorian asked against his lips.
Kian smirked, nipping at Dorian’s bottom lip just to watch the way his pupils blew out. “My goal is to have you boneless and sated each night, so you sleep like a rock. I told you, baby. I want you so relaxed, you won’t want to go back.”
