Epilogue – Six Months Later
M ax grins at me as he steps into the small lounge. He looks like a proud father as he reaches out for me and I fall into his arms, ecstatic that in the next few moments, I will be wed to the loves of my life.
These aren’t the same men I met just over six months ago. We’ve grown together through laughter and tears. I watched Griffin and Rome stumble through their first kiss and was present for their first time, on accident. It’s not my fault those two decided to take that last step while they were cuddled up together on the other side of the bed, waking me up when the bed started rocking.
Six months of navigating three men has been difficult—weathering Griffin’s bouts of writer’s block, Rome’s innovative pastry disasters, Rome and Griffin’s new relationship, and Nova searching for another passion—but I love them wholeheartedly, flaws and all.
Not to mention the few times I nearly took off due to a pregnancy scare or when Griffin forgot to pay a bill. Old habits die hard but Nova brought me back, fucked me into submission, and then didn’t let me leave his side for the next day. I wasn’t then and am definitely not complaining now.
After today? There’s no more running.
These are the men I want to be with for the rest of my life.
They’ve been with me through thick and thin. I found out that I was Rome’s obsession for years before he met me that first night and Nova has loved me through Griffin’s eyes. I’ve had men in my corner before I even knew it.
And now the world is going to publicly know that they are mine.
“How you feeling, Luna baby?”
“Nervous.” It’s true. There are so many people out there. Spring Haven in its entirety, old friends from school that I’ve reconnected with, professors—everyone who has wanted to see our happy ending is here. I glance down at the simple white gown that we found while window-shopping a few months ago. I didn’t buy it but I kept returning to it until I told my men that that’s what I wanted. I knew the wedding would be big but I wanted my clothes to be simple. To be me.
“Nervous enough to run?”
I frown and look past Max as three well-dressed men slide into the room. I’m not superstitious about them seeing me before I step out there but they don’t know that. Well, Griffin does, and by proxy, the others. “I’m not running!” I whine playfully. Max steps to the side, unveiling my wedding dress. They all stop in their tracks, tears wetting their eyes as they take me in.
“Everything you dreamed of?” I ask.
“More,” Griffin sighs.
“It’s perfect,” Rome says as he steps forward and grabs my arms, twirling me around to catch the whole dress.
Nova is last but definitely, not the least as Rome twirls me into Nova’s arms. “It’s everything ,” he whispers before he takes my lips.
