Chapter 41
CHAPTER FORTY-ONE
T he hand on her calf tightened as Moon leaned forward, closing the small distance separating them. She knew he was going to kiss her from the sultry way he was looking at her.
Larissa’s mind screamed at her to move away, yet her body seemed unable to follow the command.
When Moon’s lips touched hers, she knew it was too late. Like his namesake, Moon had pulled her into his orbit, and there was no escape.
When his tongue parted her lips, her hands gripped his shoulders with the clear intention of making him stop, but her good intentions went out the door at the liquid fire consuming any rational thought that tried to make her realize what a terrible mistake she was about to make.
Her hands moved from his shoulder to his hair, tugging him closer.
You’ve lost your mind , she told herself as she willingly let him use her leg to slide her further down on the bed and found herself being pushed back onto the mattress. There was no doubt in her mind how Moon had gotten his nickname—she was seriously seeing stars behind her closed lids.
As he molded his mouth to hers, erotic need consumed her. The hand which had been massaging her calf slid between her thighs to stroke the cleft of her vagina. If Moon’s kiss had her seeing stars, his touch caused a shimmering need to course through the flesh he was exploring with featherlight movements. Wanting him to touch her harder, she arched under his teasing hand.
She tore her mouth from Moon’s and gasped for air, her hand wrapping around his wrist. “We should go to sleep.”
Moon’s hand stopped in place, except for the thumb, which was swirling over her clitoris. “Do you want me to leave?”
“Us having sex would be a complication we don’t need.” Biting down on her lip, she valiantly fought to keep from pulling his mouth back to hers. His kiss had the capacity to nuke any hesitations about how difficult it would be if they developed a sexual relationship. Their tenuous friendship could be destroyed before it had really begun, making it uncomfortable for her to be around him.
His eyes bore down into hers. “Are you attracted to me?”
“I think it’s obvious I am.”
His free hand took hers, pressing it against the hard length of his cock under the sweatpants he was wearing. “Every relationship is complicated.” Moon bent down to trace his lips along the line of her jaw to her mouth. “We can take it as slow or fast as you want to go. Don’t we owe it to our baby to see if there is something there?”
“I don’t know,” she whimpered.
A finger slid intimately inside of her sheath, making it nearly impossible to weigh the negative consequences if having an intimate relationship with Moon turned sour.
“I want you.” He licked the back of her earlobe before tugging the small lobe into his mouth as his finger stroked higher. “I want to fuck you with the lights on, without the dark hiding you from me.”
Her neck arched back, pressing her head into the pillow as Moon released her earlobe to return to her mouth. His finger stopped moving inside of her as he devoured her mouth in a carnal kiss that silenced any thoughts of leaving the room until each and every one of the insatiable cravings he was igniting had been satisfied.
“I don’t understand,” she managed to say when he lifted his mouth to trail down to her neck.
“What don’t you understand?” he asked when she wasn’t able to complete her sentence.
“How you manage to make me forget my resolutions not to have sex with you. I’ve never had this problem before.”
“That’s easy to answer.” Cool air bathed her heated flesh when Moon tugged her T-shirt down to expose her naked breasts. “You didn’t want to fuck them.”
The crude way he worded it made her inwardly cringe while, at the same, she had to admit it was the truth. She had never desired a man the way she did Moon. He was the complete opposite of the type of men she usually dated. Her ex-boyfriend had been fun to hang out with, to study with, but when it came to sex, it never had the passion needed to survive from either side. She would rather walk over hot coals than admit that fact to Moon, though.
“I did,” she lied.
“Couldn’t have been too exciting if you never had this problem before.”
How could she argue with the truth?
His lips brushed over a hardened nipple before he used his tongue to wet the taut peak. His warm mouth surrounded the areola, dissolving any thought of making him stop. Her body was aching with an unsatisfied need that he was building until she wanted to claw at him to satisfy it.
Thrusting her hips upward to make his finger start moving again, she whimpered, desperate for him to end the agony.
“Moon … please …”
“You don’t want me to leave?”
“No.”
He switched to torment her other nipple. “Then tell me what you want.”
His voice took on a tone that sent cold shivers of warning down her spine. At the same time, the heat stroked to life in the rest of her body was burning out of control.
Shifting his body more fully on top of her, Moon was careful not put any weight on the mound of her stomach as he released her nipple to slide downward.
She hadn’t been aware that the T-shirt he had given her was bunched around her waist until Moon took her wrists and pulled them behind her back. Distracted by him pressing a kiss on her baby bump, she didn’t pay attention to the movements she was making until he pulled his hands out from behind her back and started maneuvering his body downward until his mouth was on her pussy.
Surprised, Larissa tried to pull her hands out from behind her back to push him away, only to find them tangled in the shirt.
“Untie me, Moon …” she moaned.
“Let’s play a pretend game.” He swiped his tongue over her bud, sending goose bumps across her skin.
Raising her thighs, she tried to move his head away with her knee. He used his shoulder to block her, then gave a sultry laugh.
“It won’t hurt you to have a little of fun. You act like a stick in the mud.”
“I’m not. I can be a lot of fun.”
“Around your sisters, you do loosen up, but they don’t count. Around everyone else, you come across as someone very serious. I don’t mean to hurt your feelings, just making you aware of how others could perceive you.”
Larissa found it hard to take offense to his criticism when his mouth was buried between her thighs.
“You have fun with your boyfriend?”
“Ex,” she corrected him. “Bryer and I dated when I was in college. We spent most of our time studying.”
His hands slid under her bottom to lift her against his mouth. “No sexual games you’ve ever wanted to play?”
“No … I’m not into BDSM, if that’s what you’re getting at—” She moaned when his tongue slid inside of her, only to come out to flick at her clitoris.
“How do you know what you’re into or not without trying it first?”
“I don’t have to eat sauerkraut to know I won’t like it.”
Moon gave a husky laugh. “I don’t want you to do anything you’re uncomfortable doing. I have several games up my sleeve.”
“I bet you do,” she moaned huskily.
“We can take turns playing this game. Then, when you’re more comfortable, we can move on to harder games. I’ll go first.” He parted her cleft to slide his tongue on the underside of her clit.
If her hands weren’t tied, she would have used them to hit him to end the torment he was putting her through.
“Why do you get to go first?”
“You don’t know how to play the game … yet. So, do you want to play?”
