CHAPTER 6 ALEX

My eyes snap open and I glance around my dark room. Something woke me up, and I can’t quite place it. It wasn’t my alarm clock, I realize as I glance at the time. I don’t have to be up for another half an hour. A car horn blares outside my apartment window, and it all makes sense. That’s what woke me up. Dammit, on my birthday, too.

I shift slightly in bed, and a slight tingling sensation draws my attention downward as the sheets brush against my morning wood. As much as I hate waking up before it’s time, at least I have time to deal with this.

I drop my hand down to my crotch, slowly stroking up and down and pulling my sheets away with my other hand. I don’t even need to pull anything up on my phone; all my thoughts are laser-focused on one thing: her.

I close my eyes as I stroke, visions of her naked body dancing across the back of my eyelids. Her perfect pussy is seared on my memory like a brand, and it doesn’t take long till I’m panting and thrusting my hips in rhythm with my hand, my balls screaming for release. I let my imagination wander, picturing her turning from that bent-over position to look at me with her doe-like eyes.

She gives me a wink and whispers, “Well, what are you waiting for? Come get it.”

That’s enough for me and I reach my climax, gripping the shaft of my throbbing cock hard as I spurt, picturing it splattering all over her body. I need her. I give a few more long, hard strokes, squeezing every last drop onto my stomach and groaning with satisfaction.

On the tails of the euphoria comes a wave of reality. I still don’t know who she is. I’ve managed to find her but lost her just as quickly. This fantasy is just that: a fantasy. I don’t think there’s anything I can do to make it a reality. And would I even want to, really?

I glance at the clock again as my breathing slows and my heart rate starts to return to normal. I still have about ten minutes before my alarm clock goes off. As far as jack-off sessions go, that was a pretty quick one for me.

I reach over and shut off my alarm, groaning as I roll out of bed. I might as well get up now. I’ll have a few extra minutes to play with, which can’t hurt. I might even have time to stop for a coffee on my way in. That would be nice.

I shuffle to the shower and flip on the water, doing my best to think positively. It’s going to be a long day today, but it’ll be a good one. Maybe I’ll get lucky. Maybe I’ll find her again, and this time I’ll learn her name. I close my eyes and make a wish as I step into the shower, sending all my hopes out into the universe. It’s not a birthday candle, but maybe, just maybe, my wish can still come true.

My day is winding down, and I fight back the feelings of frustration that are washing over me. I haven’t seen her. I head into my work closet to put away my cart and supplies from the day, closing the door behind me. I sigh deeply and lean against the wall. This pursuit feels hopeless.

I clean up my area slowly, allowing my mind to wander as I do. I don’t know what else I can do to make my fantasy a reality, and at this point, I’m ready to give up. I just have to accept the fact that I was incredibly lucky that day, and I need to just let this ridiculous train of thought run itself off a bridge.

I finally finish and turn to leave. I take one last look around the small closet, satisfied that everything is in its place. As I reach for the handle, the door opens on its own. I feel my heart leap into my throat and my eyes feel like they’re going to pop out of my head. It’s her.

I open my mouth to speak but nothing comes out. We stand there staring at each other for several seconds, the silence growing more and more awkward. At last, my voice returns, and it seems like hers does too, along with an adorable blush that creeps up from her collarbones and stains her cheeks.

“Hey,” I manage to croak out, as she simultaneously blurts out her own awkward greeting. “Sorry, you first.”

“I’m just looking for some extra absorption powder, there’s been a bit of a spill in room 327.”

“Oh, right in here.” I glance back at her. She’s adorable: clearly flustered, and the blush has only gotten deeper. I pass her the absorption powder and she gives me a small smile.

“Thanks. I’ll bring this right back.” Her eyes flick past me to the cart already stored for the night. “Oh, unless you were on your way out?”

“I was, but I don’t mind hanging out a few extra minutes to put this away. I’ll hang out in here.”

“Thanks again. I’ll bring this right back.”

She turns and practically sprints down the hall away from me, and I sigh and retreat back into my closet.

“No way she comes back,” I mutter to myself. “She’ll definitely send someone else.” I think about leaving, to spare myself the heartache. But some little nagging voice inside urges me to stay, just in case. Maybe this time, things will work in my favor. Maybe this is my birthday wish coming true after all.
