CHAPTER 13 MINA
I lay there on the bed, my pussy throbbing from the exquisite orgasms. I’ve never been with a guy who can make me peak more than once… in fact, most guys can’t get me there at all and I have to fake it. This guy, he’s the real deal. He knows just how to get me going.
He cups my chin in his hand and murmurs softly, “You can use the shower to freshen up if you’d like.”
“Yeah, I’ll do that as soon as I catch my breath.” I am still in a state of semi-disbelief that this is actually happening. Did I really meet a random janitor at work by accidentally flashing my goodies at him, and has he absolutely rocked my world on two separate occasions now? And I can’t forget the perfect date we just went on, and his taste in movies. Fuck . I might actually fall in love with this guy. I’m in dangerous territory now.
I muster my strength and sit up, standing on wobbly legs. “Time to shower, I guess!”
“Feel free to use the shampoo and soap or whatever you need,” Alex offers. “What’s mine is yours.”
Fuck. Definitely going to fall in love with him . “Thanks.”
I make my way to the bathroom and turn on the water. It heats up quickly and I step under the warm spray, letting it wash over my sore muscles. I’m careful not to get my hair wet; I don’t want to have to explain that to my parents when I get home. Oh shit, my parents . I make a mental note to check my phone when I get out of the shower. I’m surprised they haven’t been blowing me up, wondering where I am. Just as that thought occurs to me, I hear my text tone going off. Once, twice, three times. Damn. There they are.
I quickly finish rinsing off and hop out of the shower, wrapping myself up in his towel. It’s surprisingly large and soft, considering the sparse nature of the rest of his living space. I dry myself as quickly as I can and hurry back into his bedroom. He’s nowhere to be found.
I fumble with my pants to retrieve my phone from the pocket where I left it. Surprisingly, only one of the texts is from my mother.
I smile and shake my head. Wow, I was not expecting that. The other two messages are from Katie.
I quickly type out a response.
A pending text bubble appears almost immediately, and the message is quick to follow.
I sigh and shake my head. She’s too much. I do have lots of juicy details for her, though.
I peek outside into the living room and am surprised to see Alex lounging on the couch wearing a fluffy set of tiger-stripe pajamas. He looks adorable.
“Hey! Don’t you look cozy!”
Alex laughs and gestures to his outfit. “I figured this was more appropriate loungewear. If you don’t feel like putting your date clothes back on, I’ve got plenty more outfits to choose from.”
“Oh really?”
“Absolutely! In this house, comfort is king. Let me show you.” He gets up and ushers me to his dresser, sliding open the top left drawer. “Here we go. Comfy pajamas.”
I look at the array of fun patterns folded neatly in front of me. I select a green and purple swirl set and quickly put them on. They’re too big for me, but man are they comfortable. I give a little twirl.
“So, how do I look?”
“I like you in my clothes,” he says, pulling me close. “I could get used to that.”
I lean up to give him a kiss, and notice the TV is paused, and it looks like it’s been reset to right around where we left it. “Oh, the movie!”
“Yeah, I figured I’d get it set up again in case you wanted to finish it.”
“Oh absolutely. There’s a shortage of perfect movies in the world; it would be a pity not to finish this one.”
“Nicely said.”
“Thanks, I try.”
We settle down on the couch again and he grabs the remote. “Did you need water or a snack or anything before I start this up again?”
“I’m fine for now, but I appreciate the offer.”
“No problem, babe.”
Oh my god he just called me babe . Little warning bells start to ring in my head, calling out danger, danger, danger . But I block them out, instead snuggling closer to him. So what if I fall for him. What’s the worst that could happen?
My phone buzzing in my lap stirs me from my sleep. The living room is dark, and Alex is snuggled up next to me, snoring softly. We must have fallen asleep during the second movie. I glance down at the caller ID. It’s Katie. I also see that I have a missed call from my mom, and about 20 unread texts. Whoops.
I gently untangle myself from Alex and tiptoe into the bedroom, closing the door behind me. I answer the phone at a whisper.
“Hello?”
“Oh my GOD, there you are!” Katie practically shrieks into my ear. “Do you know what time it is? I hadn’t heard from you for hours and was starting to panic. I’m over here losing sleep, girl!”
“I’m sorry,” I apologize. “We fell asleep watching a movie. I didn’t plan to stay this long.”
“Uh huh, sure, watching a movie. Is that what the kids are calling it these days?”
“No, really! I did fall asleep.” I sigh deeply, then tell her the truth. “Though we did fuck earlier.”
“I figured as much,” Katie laughs. “I’m just glad you’re ok. I figured you’d call when you left and when I didn’t hear from you, I got a little bit paranoid.”
“A little bit? Babe you’re the conspiracy queen , though I think Alex might give you a run for your money.”
“Oh, really?”
“Yeah, I’m pretty sure he was serious when he told me he thinks his neighbors might be werewolves.”
“Oh god, no way,” Katie groans. “I’m supposed to be the irrational one that jumps to ridiculous conclusions!”
“I know! I don’t know how I’m supposed to deal with two of you in my life. I just might go insane.”
“You probably will,” Katie teases. “But seriously, you’re ok? Do you want me to come get you or anything?”
“No, I’ll probably try to go back to sleep, and if I can’t I’ll catch an Uber or something.”
“Alright. But I expect to hear from you in the morning. If I don’t, prepare for me to annoy the hell out of you till you answer me.”
“That sounds fair.”
“Sleep well. Love you, girlie.”
“Love you too.”
I end the phone call and open the bedroom door. Alex is sitting up on the couch, bleary-eyed and confused.
“Shit. Did we fall asleep?”
“We sure did.”
“I’m sorry! I know you weren’t planning to stay like this.”
“It’s fine, I’m not mad about it. It happens!”
“Did you want to stay? You can stay in the bed. I can sleep out here on the couch if you’re more comfortable like that. Or I can drive you home if you’d rather do that.”
I move across the living room and place a kiss on his forehead. “You’re the sweetest. I couldn’t ask you to sleep out here on the couch, this is your home.” I gently run my fingers through his hair and down the side of his face. “Besides, I think I’ll sleep better snuggled up next to you.”
“Say no more,” Alex says, standing up slowly. “Let’s head to the bedroom. That way our bodies don’t totally hate us in the morning.”
“Mine is already going to be a little grumpy in the morning, I can tell.”
“Hmm don’t worry, I’ve got coffee for that.”
“You better. I’m pretty sure I bleed caffeine at this point.”
“Good to know. I’ll make sure I keep a steady supply on hand.”
“Sounds like a plan.”
“Do you take any special creamer or anything I should pick up for future reference?”
“Nope. Just a little regular milk and a pinch of sugar, though I can drink it black if need be.”
“Well you’re in luck. I’ve got milk and sugar.”
“Perfect.”
“Alright, let’s get to bed. If I stay up too much longer, I’m going to stop making sense.”
“Me too. I feel like I could sleep for days.”
We shuffle into the bedroom and get situated under the covers. He wraps me in his arms, and I feel the fatigue washing over me. He places a few gentle kisses on my shoulder, and within a few minutes I hear his breathing deepen. He’s asleep, and I know I’m not too far behind him. The last thought in my mind as sleep comes to claim me is how normal this all seems, and how utterly safe and at peace I feel. Whether he’s meant to be a fling, or my soulmate, I don’t know. What I do know is that I could definitely get used to this.
