SORIMAH #3
“I’m not playing about you Sorimah. I already told you I wasn’t going to let you leave me so what you call yourself doing? Avi told me about the email you sent and I’m trying to figure out why?”
I shook my head and closed the door. I didn’t need my business out in the streets. Hendrix was a man that was adamant about us, and he wasn’t trying to come up off me no time soon. I was just as addicted, so I knew what he was feeling at the moment.
“I can’t work for your family anymore Hendrix. I should’ve never been there in the first place. Your selfish ways kept me there and you know it.”
“I gave you the chance to quit and you decided to stay. How many times have I expressed my love for you, and you reciprocated it? You think I’m about to give that up?”
“Hendrix—”
“Stop saying my name Ri and tell me the real.”
He was upset but I had every right to be as well.
He rushed over to me to make sure he was still able to have his cake and eat it too.
It was me that was suffering because he wasn’t truly mine and it would be my little one that had to grow up without him in their life.
All I saw was his greed and I couldn’t get past that.
“The truth is that you can’t have your way with me anymore. You belong to a woman that is very unappreciative but nonetheless she’s your partner. We fuck an—”
“Nah, we make love. Correct that junk.”
Rolling my eyes, I walked over to the kitchen for something to drink and he was on my heels. That was the thing with this man. He never let me breathe and although I adored the way he loved me, it was temporary, and we both knew it.
“Regardless of what the fuck we do, you’re not my man and I’m done. I have more important shit to worry about and making sure you’re happy isn’t my job. You have a woman for that so get the hell out of my face and go bother her.”
When he wanted to bicker, I had no energy for it. Hendrix knew what I said was the truth and he was trying to fight me on it. He wasn’t mine and once he realized his family was in Reedsburg and not Max Peeks, things would work out for him. That’s where his focus needed to be.
“You are my fuckin’ woman!”
That was the first time he ever raised his voice at me and used profanity. I didn’t know what to do other than cower down and take subtle steps back. No man had spoken to me with such authority. I low key liked that shit.
He noticed that I was scared, and his rough demeanor was replaced with a softer one, including his facial expressions. I didn’t believe he wanted to harm me in any shape or form, but he damn sure wanted me to understand what he was voicing.
“I’m just a woman you cheated with. What’s so hard to accept?”
“I’m not accepting anything that doesn’t involve you by my side.
You don’t think I’ve been contemplating on how to go about this?
Akeera isn’t mine biologically so when I leave Aviana, I’m going to lose her in the process.
That’s the only factor that’s holding me up from moving forward with you.
I’m choosing between you and my child. Ain’t nothing easy about that Ri. ”
This entire time, I had no idea that Akeera wasn’t his. You would never know that because of the love that surrounds them. She knows who she can depend on, and she calls him daddy. I wouldn’t dare take that away from her.
As a grown woman, I had to bite the bullet. I knew Hendrix was the only one in Akeera’s life that was willing to make sure she kept a smile on her face and out of harm’s way. I wouldn’t dare act on my selfish ways and ask him to walk away from what he’d already built.
“Which is why I’m making the decision for you. Go home and love that beautiful little girl. I will be alright. Plus, it’s late and you have to work in the morning.”
This conversation was going to go left if we continued it. Hendrix wasn’t trying to accept that his life was already sealed with Aviana the minute he realized that Akeera was a pawn in her game. He would never be able to leave her alone without Aviana playing that little girl against him.
“All that junk can wait. I need to make sure the woman I’m in love with don’t leave me hanging.”
Wait, what? He’s in love with me?
“You can’t say things like that, Hendrix, and make me feel like there could be an us.
That’s playing with my mind and heart, and I won’t allow you to do that.
Being in love with me means you’re willing to disrupt your life and show me how loved I am.
You aren’t ready for that so keep those words to yourself. ”
“Believe this then.”
He picked me up and sat me on the counter. Because he came banging on my door like the freakin’ police, I didn’t have time to throw anything on. I was in a slip with nothing on underneath and he was now taking advantage of that.
My thick thighs were spread, and my upper body was pushed back onto the bare counter. Hendrix knew in order to get through to me, he would have to distract me momentarily and then bring it back up. This was the distraction that seemed to grant him whatever he pleased.
