Chapter 49

Chapter Forty-Nine

Darcy

I guess all it took for me and Sebastian to have the best sex ever was for Jake and Collin to play a bidding game on the poor guy. Now, here I was, stepping out of the shower, fully satiated by this man in every sense of the word.

Just when I thought he was lying and he wasn’t going to fuck me until sunrise, he caught me in his arms as I was drying off, threw me over his shoulder, and marched me back to the bedroom. I couldn’t help laughing at the wild beast that’d awoken in him, giving me more and more reason to wholly accept how deeply in love with Sebastian I’d fallen.

He had eased all of my fears for good after ending the conversation with his mother tonight, focusing solely on me without wavering. I’d convinced myself going into the event that tonight was the night I’d lose Sebastian to his old self, especially with the endless reminders of his previous life sitting in the room and ready to bid on him. Fortunately, my assumptions were entirely wrong, and I was so grateful for it.

Just as Sebastian laid me on the bed, and I flipped him over to his back, wanting to take his glorious cock into my mouth again, his phone began vibrating nonstop.

We tried to ignore it. Sebastian’s hand gripped the back of my head, steadying me as I filled my mouth with his cock, but the phone was relentless.

“Ignore it. It’ll stop,” he said, breathless as my tongue worked circles under his tip.

I was distracted when I peeked up and saw him cover his head with one of the pillows, growling in frustration, not pleasure this time, as I did everything in my power to stay focused and not laugh.

“Oh, for fuck’s sake,” Sebastian said, chucking the pillow across the room and staring up at the ceiling. “If that’s my mom, I swear to Christ?—”

Buzz! Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!

I pulled up and smiled at his helpless and pitiful expression, “I don’t think it’s your mom. She doesn’t seem the type to beg for forgiveness.” I looked at the phone, “Just find out who it is. It could be an emergency.”

“True,” he said, sitting up and taking my face into his hand. “You and I aren’t done.”

“I hope not,” I played back. I twisted and slid off the bed, searching for my hotel robe and a comb for my wet, tangly hair.

“Hey, Jim,” I heard Sebastian say as I misted detangling spray into my hair. “No, we’re okay, and everything is fine … Seriously, I’ll deal with her and all that other bullshit tomorrow … Why don’t we meet in the morning and talk about it? … Okay, sounds good … See you then. Bye.”

When I thought that was the end of the calls, I heard him sigh in annoyance again.

“Hey, Jake. What’s up?” he said. “No, we’re good. You don’t have?—”

Knock! Knock! Knock!

I covered my smile, grabbed the other robe, and walked out to where Sebastian sat defeated on the bed. I tossed the robe to him, “Don’t be too upset. These guys bailed your ass out tonight.”

He smiled at me. “This is why I don’t ask for favors,” he said, getting off the bed and walking to his luggage. “I don’t appreciate being indebted to anyone and having to do shit like this to show my gratitude.”

He kissed me on the nose, “There’s a package for you next to my luggage. I’m sure you’ll find the gift handy for entertaining in our room tonight.”

“Lingerie?” I questioned with a laugh as he pulled on a pair of jeans and a white t-shirt.

“If only I’d thought of that. I really could’ve made our guests regret intruding on us tonight,” he winked, kissed me on the nose, and disappeared from the room, walking toward where everyone must’ve been waiting on the other side of the door to get the details of what went down tonight.

I walked over to Sebastian’s luggage and saw a large black box placed neatly in the closet with a large silk gold ribbon tied neatly around it, forming a perfect bow in the middle.

I’d never been fortunate enough to receive a fancy treat like this before, and suddenly, I felt like quite the princess. So, in perfect, Cinderella-type fashion, I gently tugged the ribbon to unravel it and slowly opened the box to find the most beautiful silky set of La Perla pajamas perfectly folded and tucked inside.

I pulled out the top, amazed by how luxurious the buttery, smooth silk felt in my hands. It was a long-sleeved, button-down shirt with a notched collar featuring delicate mother-of-pearl buttons and refined piping along the edges, cuffs, and pocket. The matching pants were tailored with an elastic waistband, offering a relaxed yet flattering fit with matching pearl-toned piping along the hem.

I smirked, loving every ounce of this and knowing that this gift would’ve made me roll my eyes a week ago. It wasn’t the expensive brand that made my heart leap in my chest; it was that Sebastian had surprised me with such a gift at all.

The last thing I expected to be gifted from the guy was a pajama set, which made it so much sweeter for some reason. I wasn’t used to being spoiled like this. I didn’t care if they were thrift shop pajamas or the world’s most expensive set. It was touching that he’d thought of me, and that made me feel special

At the bottom of the box, I found a matching black lace bra and underwear set and a card:

For my beautiful Darcy,

You’ve made my heart so happy over these

last few weeks. I hope you’ll enjoy relaxing in this attire

while I feed you chocolate-covered strawberries all day in

our room.

“What an adorable, romantic man,” I said softly, eating up this moment and changing quickly into my lounge set to join the laughing group of guests in the living area of this massive suite.

“There she is,” Natalia said with a laugh as I entered the room. She sat between Spencer and Jake, and I was relieved there weren’t more people. “Don’t you dare tell me you two were up here getting pajamas on for bed when we intruded on you?”

“What does it look like to you?” I questioned with a beaming smile.

“Like you’ve had a couple of glorious rounds to make up for the shit show that happened down in that ballroom tonight,” Natalia said, arching an eyebrow at me. “I’m sorry we interrupted, honey,” she eyed me, then smiled at Sebastian.

“I am, too,” Sebastian played back.

“Just when I thought I’d get your man’s sexy ass in my bed tonight, too,” Jake chuckled. “Seriously, though,” he brought his attention back to Sebastian, “John is going to shit himself when he sees the video Ashley took.”

“If that bullshit gets out on social media?—”

“Collin and Jake are immature children in situations such as these,” Spencer interrupted Sebastian, “but you have nothing to fear. Ashley is nothing if not discreet.”

“I don’t plan on even texting that. John can get his ass over here and see it for himself on Ash’s phone before we delete it.”

“My father is going to lose his shit when my mother bitches to him about her plans backfiring,” Sebastian said. “It’s about time, too. She’s been off the leash for too long regarding her sons.”

“Are you worried about your father?” I asked Sebastian.

“He’ll get over it no matter how pissed or embarrassed he is,” Sebastian said.

“Unfortunately, your dumb ass texted Jakey , of all people, to get you out of the bidding war you feared,” Spencer chuckled. “If you would’ve texted me, it could’ve been shut down quicker than your mother started all of it.”

Jake scoffed, “And miss out on the entertainment only Collin and I have the balls to provide in a room filled with those people?” he laughed, then looked at Sebastian. “I’m glad you texted me the SOS, my man,” he chuckled, then stood. “If you’ll excuse me, I’ve got to get down to the lovely wife. We should probably let these two enjoy their pajama party.”

Spencer stood and shook Sebastian’s hand, “I’m happy you survived that bullshit.” He grinned at me, “I’m happy you survived it, too. I can’t imagine the column you’d write about all of us if it went awry.”

“Is that why you’re here?” I chuckled, hugging Natalia as she reached me.

“We’re stupid, but we’re not that stupid,” Jake chuckled. “All right, kids. My job is done. I’m going home to rest. I’ve got an open-heart surgery first thing in the morning, so I need to be fresh.”

“You better have these pajamas off as soon as we leave, and you,” Nat said, pointing at Sebastian, “get my number from my husband. I look forward to the commission I’m going to make on your handsome ass when I find the home of your dreams for you out here, as far away from your parents as you possibly can get.”

“I look forward to that,” Sebastian chuckled, but it was evident he had other things on his mind.

We said good night, and his eyes darkened when he turned to smile at me, confirming that the pajamas were wasted money because I wouldn’t be wearing them the entire time we were in this room.
