Chapter 7
Destiny's pov
When my widened eyes met with the green eyes, I was lost in it immediately as I was lost years back when I met him.
He is the same man who took my heart away.
Why do I have to meet him now when everything was going good in my life.
My heart was happy seeing him now, but my mind was not OK with it.
I can still see the arrogance and mischievous in his eyes. He was a jerk to me back then.
I will not fall for his charms now, when he did it in the high school. I was an idiot to think we might have something, when he treated me well and destroyed it eventually.
He hands are still on my mouth and my waist. I fit perfectly in his arms. I can feel his warmth.
'Ohh I love hearing the words in his arms' my inner self said.
'I know right. Wait what.... , will you shut up now. It's not your time to talk now' I replied
'OK OK no need to get high ' she replied and went .
I was lost in his eyes that I didn't know what to do. I don't know what to say, so I stayed silent.
I think he is the CEO here. I came to the conclusion because his name is Liam James Collins as his company name is also Collins. I thought the CEO may be some other Collins, but I think I was completely wrong.
Ava knew about the Collins, then why did she do this. I think I should talk to her after this. She knows how I feel about him then why did she do this.
He broke the stare and replied "You are the first person in my life I have seen screaming when they see at a person's chest. It's not like you haven't seen before" he removed his hands from my mouth and from my waist and left me free from his hold. And took a step back from me.
'I miss his arms around me' my inner self said.
'Will you shut up'
My face heated up hearing his words. His voice is deep.
Well what he said is correct. I haven't seen anyone without a shirt, that to this close to me except my brother.
I have only seen in magazines and TV. And I haven't been in any relationship to see this.
Because I was busy with my studies, and hadn't thought about any relationship. He need not to know that.
"Why are you naked?" I asked him avoiding the sight in front of me. My face is heating up more now.
"Are you sure princess, this is what they call naked. I think you have been taught wrong of what is meant by naked. I can show you what naked means" he said smirking at me and bought his hands to the button of his pants to remove it.
My eyes widened at his answer and I covered my eyes with my hands quickly and stepped a few steps away from him and hit my back with the glass wall. I heared his laugh. I think he is laughing at me. He is still a arrogant jerk.
'Well I will be very happy for you to teach me what naked means. This girl is missing the chance here' my inner self said.
I ignored her.
Well I know any girls would have liked it. Maybe many girls have seen him naked before. And that thought didn't settle me well, I don't know why. I don't feel anything to him.
"I didn't mean that, what I meant is why are you naked from the chest. I didn't mean you to be fully naked. I know what naked means" I replied to him still covering my eyes from my hands. I think this is funny to him because he is still laughing at me.
"Well you should have said more appropriately than this princess.
So answer to your question, I spilled my coffee on the shirt and there is no extra shirt to replace.
And I will be like this till a new shirt arrives" he replied.
I can hear the amusement in his voice. I surely know that he is smirking at me.
I removed my hands from the eyes and bought them down, my face is flushed still. I cleared my throat and asked "Can you complete this interview fast, I am here for the interview".
Even if he is the CEO, I will endure it and take the job if he hires me. I will not stop it because he is here. I need this very much.
"OK, we shall continue the interview then" he said and moved towards the chair and took his place. I moved and sat infront of him. I picked my file from the bag and placed it on the desk and pushed it towards him. I set my bag on my lap.
"Now shall we begin" saying that he picked my file. He started seeing it. I saw him lean back in his chair. He muscles are strong from what I can see. He has become more built than before. Back then he was lean not much built but super tall. He is still tall and has become more handsome.
Clearing his throat he asked "Why do you need this job Ms. Walker. How can you expect me to hire you when you have no experience, except few internships". I expected this question from him, not only him anyone would have asked that.
"Sir, I need this job because I have to earn money for my living.
I can't accept to live with my parents'money money until now.
When I have knowledge and stability to work why not" I relaxed a bit and replied his next question "Well I don't know why other companies didn't consider me to work with them.
And I didn't get the opportunity to prove myself what I can be capable of.
But I have confidence in myself to do my work completely which will be assigned".
I answered confidently by meeting his eyes to show my ability to do.
He nodded his head and asked me in a serious voice"Do you have a boyfriend Miss Walker".
"I don't have a ...., hey that's not the question you are suppyose to ask me. It's not a professional one" I replied to him crossing my hands in front of me.
He smirked at me and placed the file infront of him on the desk and leaned towards the desk, keeping his hands crossed on the desk. "I was checking where is your attention was Miss Walker".
I want to slap across his face to wipe that smirk.
"My attention is here Mr. Collins. I prefer to continue this interview" I said keeping my cool down.
"Alright Miss Walker. Can I ask what have you been doing this past year after you completed your masters" he asked me. Now I can see his chest more clearly because the file is not covering it. He has a six pack.
Wow.
'I like to run my fingers along with it' my inner voice said.
My face started heating again and I feel my cheeks turning red. Clearing my throat I replied "I have been working as a waitress in a hotel". I shifted in my seat because of his intense stare.
He nodded his head as taking my answer in. He smirked at me and pushed the file towards me. Looking into my eyes and said "Well you will get my responses soon from my secretary. She will call you for your answers". He got up from his chair and extended his hand for a shake.
I got up from the chair and lifted my hand for a shake. A sense of electricity passed throughout my body. He held his hands in a firm grip and left. "Thank you sir".
I took my file, bag and made my way towards the door. As I was about to turn the knob, I felt his presence behind me and I tensed up, enable to move. I was frozen in my place. How did he reach behind me this fast.
I felt his breath on my right ear as he bent towards my right and whispered in my ear "Can you please informAlexis to come to my office, as you pass by" I nodded by head and ran out of the room as soon as possible. My face is full red now because of how close he was to me.
I made my way towards Alexis. Good thing is that her head bent down working on some paper.
"Alexis, Mr. Collins would like to see you in the office.
Thank you for your support. I will take my leave now.
Bye". I didn't want her to see my flushed face so I went directly into the elevator and pressed the button to the ground floor.
Thank God the elevator was open for my escape otherwise I was not able to speak to her now.
As the elevator made down I relaxed a bit. When the door opened I made my way out. I waved my hand to the receptionist as she saw me leaving the elevator, she waved back.
I went out and hailed a cab to my apartment.
Throughout the journey to my apartment, I thought about the job, whether I will get it or not.
I wish I can get this job and fullfill my dream.
And I thought about Liam. I don't know what to do with him.
I shaked my head and came to reality that cab is stopped at my apartment.
I paid the driver and made my way towards the apartment.
I will think about it later what to do with him when the time comes. It's not like I will get the job at this successful company.
After opening the door and closing it behind me, I went towards the bedroom and kept my bag on the table.And went to take a nap till Ava comes back from her work.
