Chapter 3
"You okay?" Zach whispers in my ear. I stand nervously behind him, with Summer by my side. All the guys have encircled Jason and Asher, eyeing them down. By guys, I mean the four grown up men that are acting like curious five year olds at the time.
"Yeah, it just hurts a bit." I mumble back, eyeing the guys, worried of what they might do.
I wouldn't be surprised if they punched one of them in the face right now.
Their clenched fists don't go unnoticed.
Even Hunter has his fists curled. Every last bit of hope I had in him is completely gone now.
"I'm Xavier." He introduces himself dryly, holding his hand for a shake."I'm the oldest of Avery's six brothers." He empathises each word, probably making sure that Jason knows what he's gotten himself into. I warned him though didn't I? I did. And did Jason listen? No.
"Jason, her boyfriend." His voice almost wavers., This might be the first time I hear Jason this nervous. "Don't you think we know that already?" Tristan says sarcastically before grabbing his hand from Xavier, shaking it firmly. "I'm Tristan."
"Nice to meet, you Jason." I roll my eyes at his formality. Hunter is the next one to introduce himself and as usual he's the most polite of the three. As polite as he can get when the glare doesn't leave his face.
Jason's hand gets ripped off by Aiden. My heart pounds as I see how Jason tries to ease his hand from the death grip, Aiden's holding him in. The difference between the two is big. Aiden looks way more intimidating than Jason does, if he looks intimidating at all that is.
"Nice to meet you Jared."
"His name is Jason and I think we should get going to the dining room, don't you guys think?" I pry in. Glaring at Aiden and sending an apologetic look in Jason's direction.
"No. Who are you?" Tristan turns to Asher who's been standing there awkwardly looking at their exchange.
"Asher Summer's,"
"Yeah, boyfriend we know." He cuts him off.
Could they all be any ruder?
"Now, could we please get to the dining room. I'm hungry and the guys already know, the others if you don't, this is Parker, Zach and Ashton." I introduce quickly motioning with my hands toward the dining room.
With a roll of their eyes, my three older brothers lead the way in, Jason, Asher and Summer following closely behind with my younger brothers.
"I didn't know that was your type.
" Aiden whispers in my ear as he walks past me his shoulder purposely bumping into mine.
I shiver and follow his lean figure with my eyes.
If I could kick this guy's butt, I would.
But since majority of his body is pure muscles, it wouldn't cause him any pain, the opposite actually. I would probably be the one hurting.
He always got to say something to annoy me.
Buttface.
I follow behind. Everyone's already putting food on their plates as I take a seat beside Jason.
Tense silence fills the room and I can feel the galres directed toward Jason and Asher.
"So" Xavier begins, wiping his mouth with a white napkin and gaining everyone's attention.
"How old are you two?"
"We're both eighteen, senior year." Jason answers, after swallowing his food.
"How many girls have you dated before Avery and Summer?" Hunter asks and my eyes widen.
"Hunter!" We both warn but he ignores us.
"Um, I've dated four." Jason answers politely. Probably trying to get on my brothers' good side.
"You've dated four girls before my sister!? What more have you done, fucked in the schools toilet?" Zach asks loudly. My eyes widen. My brothers and Aiden glare at Jason, ignoring the word Zach used, which they normally wouldn't do. Snickering is heard from Parker and Ashton.
"Zach! You don't have to answer that." I grab Jason's hand reassuringly. "Yes and no."
"You", Hunter turns to Asher. Both him and Summer straighten their backs. "How many have you had before Summer?"
"Are you seriously asking him this?" She glares. Hunter nods unbothered, eyes trained on Asher.
"Three."
"And what are your intentions with the girls?"
"We're in a relationship?" The guys answer simultaneously. The galres sent their way deepen.
God help me.
......
After the awkward dinner we all get to the living room. The TV is off, everyone has their backs straight, except my older brothers and Aiden who are all trying to make Jason and Asher as uncomfortable as possible.
Xavier is sitting on the arm chair a leg crossed over the other, while carelessly flipping through a newspaper. I don't even know where he found it.
Aiden is sitting at the end of the couch, with his phone in hand, but he glares more at Jason than staring at his screen.
The other two;Hunter and Tristan, just stand by the doorway. Arms crossed and glares on their faces. They remind me of our budyguards;having suits and all. As for us others, we're waiting awkwardly for one if them to start a conversation.
I exchange a glance with Summer. The annoyance is clear in her eyes.
Minutes pass by and I feel the need to go to the toilet. Excusing myself, I walk away, do my business and then when I come back out in the living room again, the sight in front if me makes my blood boil.
"This is Avery, when she learned how to use the toilet, in this picture she's five years old and she's actually taking a shit!" I hear Tristan tell as everybody laughs except Summer. The bodyguard stance is gone, he stands by the bookcase with Jason by his side.
"What the hell Tristan!" I yell and stalk towards him to grab the photo album out of his hands, but I get pulled back by Aiden.
"No, Aves, let him finish, Jackson should see those pictures.
" He smirks and I slap his hard, chest that's also showing from under his white shirt, along with the tattoos.
Oh those tattoos. I wonder if they hurt when they got them. I have to stop.
"Aiden!" I hiss but he covers my mouth and pulls me to the couch in between him and Hunter who squeeze me.
He was standing the last time I saw him.
"Oh, and this is Avery, when she was having period cramps, Hunter snapped the picture."Zach smirks pointing somewhere in the album. I gasp.
Why would he even say something like that.
Better yet why would my brother take a picture like that?
My family is crazy that's for sure. Except me.
I'm not crazy, it might be some male hormone that runs in the family that made them like this.
Or gene. Something in their male anatomy at least. Damn I should be a doctor.
"Zach! Shut up!" Me and Summer shout at him. He holds his arms up in defense but still smirks.
"Baby, it's fine." Jason chuckles and I roll my eyes at him.
"Don't call her that!" All of them snap loudly at him. We flinch and I swear I even see Jason whimper a little.
"So-" he gets cut off by Hunter. "Oh, show him the picture on her fifteenth birthday, when she just woke up.
" He laughs and Zach shows a picture of me where my eyes are half open and my hair looks like I haven't brushed it in years, I also have drool.
"Enough!" I say and get myself up from the couch and over to we're Zach is sitting.
I snatch the book out of his grip and place it back on the bookshelf.
"Um, Jase, we should get going, it's pretty late." Asher speaks up and I'm thankful. They need to leave. I've embarrassed myself enough to last a life time. Thanks to my brothers. And Aiden.
"Yeah." Jason scratches the back of his neck and stands up.
"No, who said you could leave? We've got a few more things to say." Xavier says.
"No, I think they're fine actually. Thank you for coming and we'll see you in school soon." Summer smiles and starts pushing Asher out of the living room. I grab Jason's hand to lead him out, but let go of it when I meet Xavier's glare. It's for Jason's own good.
"It was nice meeting you." Xavier says shaking Asher's hand as we stand by the door. He leans down to his level, a blank expression on his face. "I won't hesitate to beat the shit out of you."
Aiden walks over to Jason. "It was a pleasure meeting you... Junior."
"It's Jason, sir." He nods, wrapping his hand around Aiden's, then taking a deep breath. Probably from the pain. I can see Aiden literally squeezing his hand, it'll likely bruise. I sigh.
"I'm not that old," he grumbles unhappily in response.
My other two brothers shake hands with them before all four guys stand behind us.
With a glare, I take Jason's hand and lead him outside.
"Thanks for coming and also, sorry for my brothers.
" I apologise and he shakes his head. "It's fine, baby, I enjoyed it.
" He says caressing my cheek. I lean up and peck him on the lips and he smiles.
"Goodnight." Me and Summer tell the boys.
"Goodnight." Jason says at the same time Asher tells the same to Summer.
I close the door and we stalk back to the living room only to find all the boys smirking. "What is wrong with you?!" I shout and they chuckle.
"Nothing," Hunter says. "What, you embarrassed?" Ashton says in a baby voice, earning a slap on the back of the head from Zach.
"Aww, don't worry we were just teas-" Xavier begins but his phone starts ringing. He pulls it out of his pocket and share a worried look with Aiden, Hunter and Tristan.
"Si, stiamo arrivando. "(Yes, we're on our way. ) he grits out into the phone and hangs up, jaw clenching.
"We need to go." Xavier informs. His playful demeanor all gone now.
"What's going on?" I ask confused.
"Nothing, it's the company, we'll see you tomorrow." Hunter says kissing my forehead then Summers.
All of them rush around and I notice something black under Aidens white shirt. "Aiden what are you wearing?" Summer asks the question I've been thinking. "Nothing, we'll see you tomorrow." He mutters quickly and they all get out of the house leaving us alone with Zach, Parker and Ashton.
