Chapter 16
My hands move upward toward the roots of his silcky dark hair. I lace my fingers through and tug slightly as his fingertips dig into the flesh of my hips.
Our lips are locked, tongues moving in perfect sync, leaving a wet trail in each other mouths.
My body is straddling his, with his hands firmly on my sides and both of our eyes closed.
Both of us feeling too occupied to pay attention to anything around us than the intimate moment we share here and now.
My eyes are closed as I let him explore every inch of my mouth with his tongue.
We eventually pull away for much needed air and close the new found distance while leaning our foreheads against each other. His eyes bore into the dephs of mine as we both are panting for more air.
Aiden's lips tug upward, "you're beautiful." He whispers, more to himself than me.
My heart makes flips and turns at his words and I can feel my already flushed cheeks turn crimson.
I just peck his lips in response, not trusting my voice.
He immediately responds to my lips but pulls away after a few seconds to kiss my neck. His teeth nibbling at my skin, sometimes leaving open mouthed kisses that cause goosebumps to arise everywhere on my body.
I try hard not to moan when he starts to suck and lick on the tender flesh between my neck and shoulder. I know for a fact that he's trying to leave me a hickey but my mind is too clouded to think straight right now.
A few more seconds of licking and sucking, he pulls away with a, somehow, proud smirk on his face. His eyes linger between my neck and eyes, the look on his eyes filled with lust, his pupils dilated and the green colour almost gone.
"You gave me a hickey didn't you?" I ask bored, already knowing the answer. My hands cup each of his warm cheeks, tracing circles with my thumbs on the soft skin right there.
He raises an eyebrow in amusement and looks at my eyes. "A hickey?" He emphasises and it takes me a second to register his words. When I do, my eyes widen and I jump off the couch and run to the mirror in the large hallway.
"Aiden!" I whine. I'm so dead. My brothers are going to kill me if they see this. The tips of my fingers trace the outline if the big, pink mark that's colour gets darker as each second passes and the two smaller, already purple ones.
"Ry!" He mocks walking toward me.
"Ry?"
"Everyone calls you Avery, or Aves, I want to call you something no one calls you." He shrugs. I smile, but only for a second as I see the hickeys again.
I need to cover them up, but the idea of having Aiden's marks and showing them off to public somehow turns me on.
Okay, something's really wrong with me.
Arms wrap around my waist and Aiden puts his chin on my shoulder, making eye contact with me through the mirror.
"Come on, princess, it's just some hickeys.
"He shrugs and I turn, so I'm facing him and cross my arms over my chest, feigning anger, although I think he knows that. "What if the guys see them?"
"You have your sweatshirt", he tugs in the collar of my sweatshirt for emphasis. "They won't see it, they're covered." He smiles gently before turning my face and pecking my lips, his large palms on either side of my face.
We pull away and stay silent, just looking at each other. I take that as an opportunity to take a good look at his beautiful features.
His bright green, almost emerald eyes hold so much lust and desire it's almost overwhelming in a way that I can't explain. With long lashes to complement the colour.
His straight nose in the middle of his face, the sharp jaw line that makes his face look so much more intimidating, especially when his jaw is clenched and seems to be as sharp as a knife then.
The pink lips that I've come to love and desire every second of the day. That I've come to want pressed up against my own.
What's wrong with me?
"Let's go eat something." Aiden's voice brings me back to reality.
I nod, always in the mood for food and quickly run back to the living room to get my phone.
......
We end up at an Italian restaurant in Manhattan, close to the river. The hostess leads us to a table in a private area with a few tables around and a window, that shows off the people roaming the streets and the bright pink colours the evening sky has.
After ordering pasta we talk about random stuff. Aiden makes me laugh and blush pretty much all the time, but I like the feeling.
As I look at him when he speaks, I can't help but feel that this is some dream I'll wake up from at any second. I was being honest when I told him I never thought that this would happen. Me and him.
I never thought that I would end up in a restaurant with my brothers' bestfriend-who's by the way older than me-a few weeks after I got out of a year long relationship with an asshole.
Sure, I might have had a little, tiny crush on him when I was twelve and we spent much time together but that one lasted a few months. He was by the way seventeen at the time, but I had dreams.
I have had crushes on other guys after that, I went on dates, dated a few guys, but that was it. When I was with Jason I thought he was endgame, but I was far from right.
I remember him telling me that he loved me, the first month, since we started dating and to say I was over the moon was an understatement.
The waiter coming back with the plated of pasta brings me out of my internal ranting and we both thank him before we dig in.
"So...tell me something I don't know about you." I smile at Aiden, who furrows his eyebrows. "What do you mean?" He asks confused.
I swallow before answering. "Like, something I don't know, I've practically grown up with you but I still don't know things about you."
"What do you want to know?" He smiles amused. I can feel my neck heating up at the way he looks at me and I'm praying to god that my blush doesn't move to my face.
"Mmm...." I think for a moment but come up with the most basic question someone would ask a person. "What's your favourite colour?"
"Really?" The amused grin on his face grows, along with my blush. "Black or red." He pauses for a moment unsure. "No, I like black or...no black, black is my favourite colour."
Looking at me giggling he asks me the same thing and we end up playing some kind of twenty-one questions, getting to know every single detail about the other.
"I like your necklace." Aiden suddenly says and I look confused. He keeps his eyes trained on my throat and nods towards it. I look down and hum knowingly.
"Oh, yeah this is the one you bought me." I smile fiddling with the jewelery, that hasn't been off my body once since I got it, in between my thumb and forefinger.
"Yeah", he lets out softly, with a satisfied smirk.
.....
Aiden has his fingers laced through mine. Driving up the driveway of my house behind my car, that Summer's in right now, he parks beside her and cuts the loud engine of his lamborghini.
We stay in the car, both of us facing forward. My heart almost aches at the thought of ending this perfect afternoon with Aiden. I know that once we get out, this won't be going on. We'll just glance at each other, maybe kiss if we get the chance but nothing more.
"Princess, what's wrong?" Sensing my change of mood, he asks softly. He turns the radio off and I shake my head, keeping my eyes on my lap. "Nothing, just tired." I mumble.
"Ry, you were literally shouting the lyrics of Beautiful three minutes ago, tell me." He says more sternly, but I can tell he's worried.
"I just don't want this to end." I mumble, tucking a dark hair strand behind my ear.
His soft finger tips lift my chin up so I'm looking into his eyes. "It won't end, I'll see you tonight, I promise." With that, he connects our lips in a quick, promising, kiss and we get out.
Excitement fills in me but also worry that he won't keep his promise. He've always done what he've promised before so I shouldn't think like this, probably.
.....
After greeting my brothers me and Summer run up to my room. The bags of clothes colliding onto her jean clad legs as she sprints down the hallway, with me following closely after.
Desperate to feel the soft mattress and the silky covers on my bed, I dive in it as soon as the door opens.
Summer doesn't follow my steps but instead flips the big, pink bag upside down, letting the different colours of fabric fall out on my floor.
"Oh my god, Summer! How much did you buy!?" I look at the small mountain of clothes wide eyed.
"Just enough for us to choose what to wear at the party." She cups her hands in an attempt to whisper the last part.
"Oh" I nod knowingly and she sends a playful wink my way.
"So, I bought this for you..."She draws out and I'm dreading to see the outfit.
She pulls out a simple black crop top with spaghetti straps and to be honest, I like it."I like it!" I voice my thoughts aloud and she nods in agreement.
"And then I bought you this...I have a pink one." She mutters and pulls out a black bikini, making my eyebrows shot up in confusion. "A bikini?" She nods.
"Do I have to remind you that we live in New York and that it's the beginning of October?"
"Ugh! Aves ! Tyler has some heat system in his pool, calm down!" She whines and gets back to looking through the clothes.
Tyler is the guy having the party, he's in our grade but Summer told me that there will be college kids at the party too, because if his elder brother.
"Summer, we should reconsider this. What if the guys find out?"
"They won't, I promise."
.....
It's one a.m and Summer went into the guest room almost half an hour ago. Leaving me alone in the darkness of my room.
As much as I want to sleep, I can't. The guilt, excitement and worry about tomorrow keeps me awake. I really don't want a replay from almost three years ago, when I went to my first party. I haven't been on many parties ever since, only school dances.
If Aiden or one of my brothers find out, I'm pretty sure the consequences won't be good. I don't want to make Aiden angry but then again he won't find out.
I mean, it's a high school party and all of my brothers will think that I'm staying over at Summer's, which I'm going to but after the party, so we won't lie to them completely, just keep a part of our plans hidden.
My door cracks open and in comes Aiden. He kept his promise.
"Hey, princess." He whispers, making me smile. "Hey", I whisper back and he locks the door behind him, making his way to my bed and climbing under the covers with me.
I turn to my side so we're face to face.
"Can't sleep?" He asks. "Just wanted to wait for you."
The moon shining on his face brings out his feauters in a more dark way. Well obviously, the room is pitch black, but it gives his looks a more dangerous look, as if showing that he comes from a dangerous world.
"Heard you were going over to Summer's tomorrow."
I put my hand under my head, "yeah we want a girls night and being here with all guys won't be much of a help." I lie. I hate lying. Especially to him. I bit my lip, a habit I do when I lie but he doesn't notice, the room is way too dark to do so.
"So, I won't see you tomorrow?"
"Depends", I giggle and I see him rolling his eyes under the moonlight. "On what?" He mumbles, feigning annoyance.
"If you'll be here in the morning."
"Then, I'll make sure I am." With that said, he grips my waist and pulls me onto of him, our lips crashing together. My hands lay flat on his hard, t-shirt covered chest, and my eyes are closed as I devour every second of the moment.
When we pull away, he turns us around so his hovering over me. A strand of black hair falls on his forehead and I reach up to pull it back.
I feel his face heating up under my skin but don't comment it.
If he's blushing, it's the cutest thing ever.
"You need to sleep", he pecks my lips. "I'm not tired", I hesitate before adding quietly, "please don't leave yet."
I know that he'll have to get back to the guest room soon, but I don't want too and by staying awake, I might convince him to stay a little longer.
"I'm not leaving, but go to sleep, princess." I nod and he turns around so he's spooning me with an arm wrapped around my waist and the other under my head.
"Goodnight, Aiden."
"Goodnight, princess." He kisses my forehead and gets back on his position. I close my eyes and let sleep consume me, as I'm laying with him.
.....
"Tristan! Put some pants on!" Me and Summer shout from the kitchen island, making everyone chuckle at us.
"Shut up, you've seen me like this since the day you were born!
It's a blessing to wake up seeing this-" he gestures his almost, naked body with his hands up and down"-every morning, do you know how many girls want to wake up to this view? " He asks cockily and we roll our eyes.
"No one wants to wake up seeing, that!" I point at him, my face scrunching up.
"No, everyone wants this, now shut up, I'm not completely awake yet." He mumbles and walks over to the fridge, in his boxers. Only.
Xavier and Aiden come into view, wearing suits. Black suits. They both have their hair gelled back and looking professional as ever.
"Morning", Aiden says giving me a quick glance, making me blush, and walks over to the cup board to grab a bowl.
He then takes a seat beside me and grabs the lucky charms, making sure to put more marshmallows in his cereal, before adding milk.
"Is that cereal even good for your mob boss reputation?" I ask and he looks up at me, not answering because of the stuffed mouth.
"Oh, Aves, what put you in such a good mood?
" Xavier chuckles and I raise an eyebrow.
"You talked to Aiden." The question makes me nervous, but I cover it up with a simple shrug and continue eating my lucky charms. Aiden on the other hand starts coughing, his face turning red because of the limited air in his lungs.
"Damn, bro calm down. I know your shocked she spoke to you, but no need to choke to death." Zach pats his shoulder.
"I'm fine", Aiden finally says, his voice deep.
"Well, we're going to school and Xav, you already know I'm staying at Summers."
"Yeah, have fun." He comes over pulling both of us in for hugs before he kisses our foreheads.
In an instant, we're out of the house and on our way to school.
.....
I look at the small mirror on my locker to see if the hickeys are still covered, luckily they are, but I know I'll have to put water proof foundation and concealer if I'm going to swim.
I close my locker only to turn around only and bump into a hard chest."Damn, Aves, are you okay?" Zach asks concerned as I rub my nose.
"Yeah, do you need anything?" I ask in a hurry, trying hard not to be late to my fourth period.
"Yeah, um-" he scratches the back of his neck nervously. "-the party...um can you please don't tell Xav? And please, Avery cover up for me?" He gives me his puppy eyes and I sigh.
Zach is defenetly the party animal, even tho he's never thrown a party he goes to them. A lot of them. And he's obviously going to this one. He's not one to miss an opportunity to hit on college girls.
"Yeah, sure but I won't be able to cover for you", I smile innocently at him, unsure if I should tell him I'm going to the party too.
"Why?" He asks confused. He'll probably see me anyway.
"I'm going to the party too", I whisper looking down. He's silent for a minute and I finally look up only to find him with a huge grin and wide eyes.
"You're finally living like a normal teenager!?" He shouts excitedly and I roll my eyes, nodding.
"Okay, good but please don't get drunk, I know you're a lightweight and it won't be good for you." He begs.
"Yeah, I promise, only if you don't get drunk either." He nods at that and I par his cheek before turning to leave.
"Wait, Aves!" He shouts and I turn around.
"There will be college kids, not inappropriate clothing." He says sternly, pointing a finger at me.
I laugh and answer, "you'll be there to protect me." The late bell rings and I know that my teacher will hate me more than she already does.
