Chapter 25
I take in the words on a my Kindle as I wait for Aiden to finish his work.
Having spend most of his days with me, caused him to stay behind.
Much to both of our surprise I threatened him that there wouldn't be any physical contact between us if he didn't finish his contracts and paperworks.
It feels as if I'm with a high schooler sometimes. Oh how the tables turn.
His only response was that I wouldn't be able to resist his charm. Which was kind of true, considering that I feel like an addict since our shower an hour and a half ago. But I only winked at him, knowing that he would probably be the one caving into my charms first.
The guy gets horny twenty-three hours a day. Ateast that's what it feels like.
But I shouldn't be one to talk, I honestly think that Aiden has turned me into a horny teenager in the span of ninety minutes.
Just the thought of his hands and mouth on my body, makes me want him again...and again...and again.
"What would you say if I asked you to come with me to Italy?" The sudden question takes me by surprise. My head shoots up in his direction, long forgotten is the book I read.
I gape at Aiden's large, suit clad figure as he sits behind the desk, opposite me. It surprises me how unfazed he looks by what he just asked, as if it's the most common thing to ask someone...in this case, his girlfriend.
"What?" He can't possibly expect me to move with him to Italy. I've been to the country two times in my life, I don't rember the first considering I was around the age of four but the secind one was a couple of years ago and it was...eventful, to say the least.
Xavier decided that we all needed some sibling bonding time and vacation, so he took us to Sicily, the place where I broke my left arm and the place where Tristan and Zach got food poisoning after eating chicken, the two of them had cooked. Neither of them is allowed to cook food since then.
And let's not forget the most important reason as to why Aiden's proportion is completely and utterly crazy. My big brothers would lose their poop if I told them that I would move contintets, let alone with their best friend, who happens to be in a relationship with me.
Yeah, no.
"Come with me," that's what she said-I need to stop. "To Italy." Aiden looks at me through his long, black lashes, his green eyes contrasting against the bright sunlight from behind me.
"Aiden," I chuckle nervously, trailing off. "I'm still in high school."
His perfectly sculpted eyebrows scrunch together in confusion. His tongue gazes his bottom lip as he stretches his wide arms behind his head. The black dress shirt stretching along.
"I know that you're still in high school?" The statement sounds more as a question, adding to the confusion written all over his face. Hes so cute, I just want to squish his cheeks. Both of them.
"You can't possibly expect me to move to Italy with you now?" I raise my eyebrows waiting for the answer I expect to hear.
He surprises me when a huge grin graces his face, both if his dimples showing. Pushing the chair back, he stands up, towering over every object inside the room, including myself.
Aiden crouches down in front of me and steadies himself with his hands on my thighs, the position reminds me of our previous one in the shower but I stop my mind before details start flooding back again.
"Baby, I was talking about a trip, but we can move to Italy after you graduate if you want. " He smirks at my blush.
"Wh-oh sorry, I thought that, oh god, look I didn't mean it like that I mean I would love that too but I juts don't think I'm ready you know I'm still in high school but that doesn't mean that I don't want to go on a tri-" Aiden's lips are on mine, cutting if my rambling.
I'm quite thankful to be honest, I was just embarrassing myself.
His large hands crawl their way underneath my thighs lifting me up.
Goosebumps covering every inch if my body as my chest presses against his. My legs wrap around his waist, making me feel like feet above the ground.
He walks us over and takes a seat on his spinnychair. I still haven't gotten the opportunity to spin on it.
"I would love to go to Italy with you," I breath against his lips, once I remember that I didn't give him an answer. I feel him grinning against me.
"Buono." Aiden rasps and goes back to kissing me swiftly.
(Good.)
My panties drown on the wetness created by him speaking Italian. Grinding on him, to realise some of the pain I feel down there, I feel him grow hard beneath me.
He disconnects our lips, and attacks my neck and collarbone with his soft ones. Suckling hard on my tender skin, he leaves marks behind to show everyone that I'm his.
Aiden's hand trails up to my neckline of his short and pushes it down, giving him access to the top of my breasts where he gives them the same amount of attention, if not more.
"Wait!" I exclaim after a pleasurable sigh. Cupping his face, I lift it up. "What am I going to tell my brothers?"
He shrugs one shoulder, "tell them you're staying at Summer's, it won't be the first time."
He dips his head again, only to lift it up annoyed when I grab his cheeks a few seconds later.
"How long are we going to be there?"
"Three days. Now let me kiss you." Aiden groans, dipping his head onto the top of my chest for the second time. His process of kissing and nipping on my skin gets cut short again by a knock on the door.
Looking alert, he looks up and meets my eyes before gently placing me on the chair and standing up himself.
I fight the argue to spin on it when I see the handgun in his tight grip. "Who?" His voice changes as he speaks to whomever knocked, sounding completely different from when he speaks to me. Long gone is the gentleness and polite manners.
"It's me Mr. De Rossi." A female voice sounds from the other side of the wood. My brows scrunch together at that. Aiden breaths a sigh if relief and puts the gun down before making his way over to the door.
I follow his movents with my eyes. Why would there be a female in his penthouse? He's told me that no one except me is able to come past his newly hired security, and if someone is to visit his head guard, Antonio is to call him immediately.
"Hello, Mr. De Rossi, would you like me to do something special for today?" The heavily accented voice asks.
"Just change the sheets and set new towels in the bathroom, Castelle, and I told you to call me Aiden.
" He responds, standing in front of the doorway.
Aiden's lean body shields me from the females view, making my curiosity peak.
Another feeling settles in the pit of my chest as questions begin to fold in my mind.
First name basis? That's what gets me the most. No one except family and friends is allowed to call him by his first name so why can she?
Is this how jealously feels?
I get up from my chair and make my way over to them.
I'm about to wrap my arm around Aiden's waist to show a sign of our relationship when my eyes land upon the woman I was a tiny bit jealous of moments ago.
A short lady stands in front of me, wearing a lose blue t-shirt and navy blue pants, a mop in one hand as her hair is set up in a bun. A couple of white streaks visible on top of her black hair.
"Ah! Is this her!?" She looks toward Aiden expectantly. He wraps an arm around my shoulder and brings me to his front, before wrapping both if his arms above my chest with his fingers entwining in the middle.
He gives me the side eye but I ignore it. Nothing gets past this man.
"Yes, this is Avery, babe this is-"
"I'm the head of Mr-Aiden's cleaning service!" She beams happily and pulls me in for a hug. I try to wrap both of mine around her as well but Aiden keeps a firm grip around my fingers.
"It's nice to meet you." I give her a smile once we pull away. Now, I feel guilty.
"The pleasure is all mine sweetheart! I'm so happy to finally meet you! Mr De-Aiden talks so much about you!" Castelle smiles widely and gives Aiden a knowing grin. I feel my cheeks heat up.
"Well, I'm going to go nw and get started. It was so nice to meet you!" With one last hug, she exits the office and closes the door sofkt behind her.
I walk back towards the chair I sat on before I sat in Aiden and burry my face in my Kindle, desperately trying to avoid Aiden's accusing stare.
He walks up behind me and wraps his strongly built arms around my neck, his fingertips resting just above my chest. I'm able to concentrate on my reading because of tha fabric of my shirt, that's somehow blocks away the electric jolts I know I would get by skin to skin contact with him. And then help me god.
"Eri geloso," Aiden states in Italian. I'm not entirely sure if what that means but I've got an idea, that's for sure.
"Huh?"
"You were jealous." I breath in skakily at the husky voice he used.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Kisses are pressed on my throat.
"You thought that I let another woman come here whence she pleases." He mumbles against my skin. I shake my head and push his head away.
"I was not, now if you excuse me. I want to read." I smile sweetly. Sighing, he walks behind his desk and takes a seat on the chair.
"You were jealous." He states grabbing the pen.
"I was not jealous. Have never been." I shrug, my eyes wide.
"Tell yourself that, baby." I roll my eyes at the smirk on his face.
......
The car comes to a stop beside Summer's. I can see her inside the dirvers side, texting furiously on her phone.
"What's up with her?" Aiden asks, looking in the same direction as me. I shrug. "She didn't tell me anything out of the ordinary. It's the first time I see her like this." I refer to her furrowed eyebrows.
Aiden shakes his head with a sigh before resting it on the back if the seat. His hand on my thigh pulls my attention back to him.
"When will you be back?" I ask, my head tilting back like his. The center console being the only thing holding our faces inches apart from touching.
Aiden opens his eyes, the gorgeous colour string back at me, "we'll go after dinner so probably around one, I suppose." Cupping my face, he leaves a kiss on my nose.
"Can you sleep in my room then?"
"Your wish is my command." He grins. I smile back and lean in close. My hand grabs a hold of his shoulder and my lips are barely an inch from touching his, when my door swings open, causing the both of us to jump and bump our foreheads.
"What the fuck is wrong with you!?" Aiden snaps at her. Summer rolls her eyes and grabs my hand, pulling me out of the car in one quick motion.
Aiden gets out right after, slamming the car door behind him. I glance at him as Summer drags me up the driveway, towards the house. Her red bun bouncing on top of her head with each, long stride.
"Let me fucking kiss her at least!" He yells, throwing his arms in the air before slamming them back down in his thighs. The guards standing beside the double doors turn their attention to us. Danny, smirks my way and I roll my eyes.
"Welcome home, Avery." He greets sarcastically.
"I was gone for a day Danny." I roll my eyes at the fifty-year old guy, whom I've known my entire life. He might be the Head of our security but he feels like family. He's the proactive father figure that's missing.
"You're gone way more often now than before." Smiling knowingly he let's us inside the house.
I take my jacket off all the while keeping an eye on Summer.
Her movents are quick and aggressive and she hasn't spoken as much as she's used to.
She groans aloud when her black jacket falls off the hanger.
It's surprising how steam isn't coming out of her ears, because her face is red in anger and irritation, I can tell.
"What's up with you?" Asking hesitantly.
"Just because I'm not talking everyone's ears off doesn't mean that somethings wrong with me Avery!" She snaps. I hold my hands up in surrender and follow her to the dining room where Mrs. Claire is bringing out large platters with roast, mashed potatoes and asparagus.
Greeting her, I take a seat beside Summer who wipes her plinging phone out of her pocket. She scoffs at what she reads and turns to me with a sigh.
"I'm sorry, Aves. It's just, I'm sorry I'm just angry at everything and I took it out on you and Aiden." She apologizes genuinely, and awaits for my answer.
"It's fine." I bring her in for a tight hug, which I think she needed considering her tight grip around my shoulders.
She sniffs my hair and pulls away with a smug grin. "You smell like Aiden."
Heat travels up my neck as I nod. My younger brothers fill the dining room, taking their usual seats. Zach runs a hand through his hair before putting his phone down.
"What's up with you?" Summer asks him. Zach makes a pouty face. "The girl I'm talking to has a boyfriend."
I'm about to tell him how sorry I am when the next sentence leaves his lips."But it's cool, her ass wasn't that round. I'll probably message Stacy for later." He hums to himself.
Me and Summer look at each other and gag.
"And I was about to hug you." I shake my head in disapproval.
"You can hug me." Zach wraps his arms around me before I get a chance to dismiss his offer.
He pulls away after a few seconds, grabbing a stand of my hair and sniffing on it.
"Fucking dog." Summer mutters, and pulls her pinging phone out. Again.
"You smell different." Zach announces.
"Yea-"
"Are you using a different shampoo?"
"I-"
"Cause' this reminds me of something I can't quite pin."
"Yeah you probably smelt it when you looked for shampo-"
"Shampoos at Traget, yeah. Maybe. It smells different. I like your other shampoo better." He announces, making my heart hammer dangerously fast against my ribcage.
The other guys pile into the dining room, talking loudly amongst themselves. Aiden catches my eyes and sends a quick wink my way, causing me to giggle and cover it up with a cough that goes unnoticed by everyone.
We all pile our plates with food and begin to eat, while soft conversation unfolds between all of us.
Summer is abnormally silent again, but I don't plan on pointing it out in case she gets uncomfortable. She'll tell me when she's ready and comfortable with whatever's going on herself. She always does.
"I read a new book," I change the subject from the drugs, my brothers and Aiden were talking about. Some groan while others give me pointed stares, when I mention the book. Though I can see the way Aiden eyes take a curious peak.
"What's it about?" Aiden asks, biting onto the garlic breadbun. My heart swells at the interest he's showing.
"A girl and a boy and they are like best friends and the guy's like the biggest player of them all-" I exhagerate.
"And the book is written from his point of view but there's obviously parts where its her's too and he has feelings for her already but he thinks that she sees him as a brother when in reality she's in love with him but he's too blind to see the signs so he continues sleeping around with girls but then they get together and live happily ever after. "I end.
"Isn't that cliche?" Parker asks confused. Everyone around the table seem genuinely interested to be honest.
"It is," I agree, "but everyone needs something cliche in their lives."
"I agree, Aves. But the question is, if he was a player did he continue his player ways after they got together?" Summer asks.
"Obviously not, that wouldn't be cliche. You know that." I respond.
"So he never kissed a girl after they got together, like he never went somewhere and there just so happened to be a gorgeous girl there who he didn't kiss?" She grits out, the grip on her fork so tight I'm afraid she'll bend it in two.
"No?" I give her a curious look, but she just smiles sweetly, nodding.
The rest of the dinner continues smoothly, with conversation flowing and dircrete exchange of glances between Aiden and I. Summer continues with her strangely tense bahvior, to which I try my best to ignore.
A while after the guys leave, Summer leaves too, claiming that she wanted some alone time. I took that as an opportunity to study some more for my math test the next day, but I don't think it'll make much of a difference to my grade;an E.
When nighttime comes around and the guys still haven't returned, me and Zach make sure the other two are in their rooms before making our way to our own.
......
I close my book when the door to my rooms creaks open. Aiden walks in and smiles as soon as he sees me awake. His hair is gelled back and to the side and the midnight blue suit clinges to his large figure, in an amazingly attractive way.
"You're not sleeping?" He questions and begins to undress himself. Aiden let's his suit jacket and dress pants, rest on the floor next to my bed before handing me his navy blue button-up.
"I'm not tired and I wanted to wait up for you," I smile, taking the shirt off him. Turning my back to him, I pull my sports bra off and pull Aiden's shirt over my bare body.
"About Italy..." He begins once I'm laying against his hard chest. The book I was previously reading, tightly clutched to my chest.
"Yeah?"
"We're leaving next weekend. You're alright with that right?" Aiden hesitates. Glancing at me, his already tight grip around my waist tightening even more.
"Yeah, I just need to make sure Summer can cover up for me." I kiss his sharp jaw. I swear the side of his face can cut through things.
"Good, because I'm taking you sopping tomorrow." I snuggle closer to him.
"No, you're not. I have clothes."
"Yeah, but I'm buying you more." He gives me a shit-eating smile. Different emotions twirling behind his emerald orbs.
I groan aloud, "no you're not. I don't want you spending your money on me." And I mean it. Every. Single. Word. I don't want Aiden to spend his money on me, just because we're in a relationship and I don't want him to think that I'm with him because if it either.
"Yes I am. And I don't remember asking you." He kisses the corner of my lips.
"Aiden, I'm not wotb you for the money, please don't spend money on me."
"Baby, I know that you're not with me for the money. You won't even let me buy you a water bottle, but I want to give you everything so let me." He speaks with finality.
"Aiden..."
"Don't start." Demanding, he turns his body so he's hovering over me. He pulls me downwards so I'm laying completely on the mattress and his perfect lips find my own in a slow kiss. Aiden's tongue traces the seam of my lips and we're soon enough traced in a heated make out session.
Aiden separates our lips and starts prepping kisses from the side of my jaw down to my neck and collar bone. He sucks on what feels like every inch of my skin. My quiet moans and heavy breaths fill the dimly lit bedroom.
His fingers fingers trail down my body and hook themselves inside the elastic band of my panties. His eyes search mine for permission but I shake my head. "Not here," I whisper.
It's not that I don't want him to, it's the fact that I don't feel comfortable with him going down on me when a wall separates mine and Zach's room.
And the fact that my brothers are all on the same floor as us, probably sleeping peacefully with the image of their innocent little sister sleeping equally as peaceful in her own room away from their best friends and their hatred filled relationship.
He nods and goes back to kissing my neck, hungrily. His lips giving my flesh love in a lustful way.
"I gave you hickeys." He chuckles breathlessly after a few minutes. Kissing where I assume his marks maintain, he looks up at me and wrps his arms around my waist, his head resting on my chest.
"I won't even bother to budge you about it." I roll my eyes and peck his forehead.
"You need to sleep." Aiden states after his eyes travle all across my face.
I want to argue on that, but I know he'll suspect something, and I'm not ready to tell him about my nightmares. Neither am I ready to tell him about the panic attack after my encounter with Jason, nor the one I almost got a few days back when he didn't sleep with me.
"Don't leave me, though." It's pathetic how weak my voice sounds. I can tell he wants to question my sudden mood change but he doesn't and I'm thankful. Aiden knows me, and he knows when I'm not ready to talk about it and that's one of the uncountable things I adore him for.
"Never."
.......
Chatter, laughter and loud footsteps fill the crowded school hall, as seniors and juniors make their way out for the day. I'm walking next to Summer and Ethan, my schoolbag weighing a hundred pounds on my back.
Summer is thankfully in a better mood today. She looked at her pinging phone various of times during the day all of them ending up with her and a huge smile. It warmed my heart to see her as her normal, bubbly self again.
"So, daddy A is taking you to Italy? You lucky bitch." Ethan nudges me playfully as we reach Summer's car. She scrunches her face in disgust while I roll my eyes.
"Please, don't ever call Aiden...that again. He's like my brother it makes it...weird." She shudders.
"Yeah, shut up now and take me to the diner you promised me food." Ethan gives me a quick hug before slamming the passenger door of Summer's car behind him.
"Are you sure you'll be okay?" She questions worriedly. "Yes, go have fun. I'll call you later." I groan and look at her pointedly.
Sighing, she gets in the car and drives out if the schools parking lot.
I take my phone out to keep myself occupied whil I wait for Aiden to get here.
Most of the students are still here, talking by their cars, while others are still in their classes.
Thankfully, I don't have to worry about my younger brothers seeing me with Aiden, considering Zach's in his AP Claculus, while Parker and Ashton are on the other side if the school building.
"Aves!" An all too familiar voice yells behind me.
A few people standing nearby turn their attention towards the source and my heart beats at an unnatural speed as I see Jason approaching me with fast, pacing footsteps.
His buddies and some of the cheerleaders, stand a few feet behind him, looking over at us expectantly.
I notice the cheer captain, Vanessa giving me a sympathetic look, the girl is probably the sweetest person I've met, and I really don't know why she's hanging out with the people she does.
"Leave me alone." I snap before he gets the chance to say anything. I back away from him and he stop abruptly, a few feet in front if him, but it's not far enough. His hands are stretched in front of him, as if to stop me from going any further.
"Baby, please, just listen to me." He pleads silently, taking a step forward when I take a step back again.
As I look into his eyes, flashes of that night come back. The stone cold glare he had pointed at me when he was crashing me under his painful weight, the hard grip he had on me, the forceful kisses.
"I don't want to talk to you Jason. Nothing you can say can change anything." I make sure to keep my voice low. The last thing I want is for the whole school to know what he's done to me.
"Please just get over here and talk to me. Please Avery. I love you," I flinch at the words. "It's been too long, we haven't talked for so long, please just come back to me."
"Jason, leav-"
"Jase! Why are you talking with her?" Taylor snaps, stalking towards us. Her blonde hair swinging behind her.
"Yeah, just go back to girlfriend Jason and leave me alone, that's the least you can do." I mumble the last part, my gaze shifting to my black converse. Where is Aiden?
"She's not my girlfriend, I promise, you are, you've always been, now come back, we've kept this break long enough, I can't anymore." He grabs my arms and pulls me towards his body, leaving Taylor a few feet behind him.
"Why are you feeding her more lies Jason?
" The annoyingly high pitched voice screeches from beside us.
I glance at her but her glare is directed at Jason.
"Tell her how you've cheated on her for the past year because she wouldn't give you any, tell her how you've cheated with me for the past year and this dumb-" she looks at me again,"-chick was too fucking lovestruck to see the signs.
You really thought that he would stay with you without sex?
The guys lives of that." Taylor rolls her eyes.
I'm shocked, I am, because I really thought that Jason and I had the perfect relationship, before everything happened, but that's the only thing I feel.
I don't feel any pain or sadness that he's cheated on me.
A car door slams shut and I'm pulled away from Jason before I get the chance to pull away myself, my mind coming back to reality again. By the scent, I know it's Aiden and my body relaxes a little as I stand in the security of his arms.
"Come on." He grits put and starts leading me towards the car. His hard gaze pointed ahead of him. "I'm okay," I whisper up at him when I sense his cold behaviour, chuckling dryly he kisses my forehead and that's when Jason snaps behind.
"Is that why you won't get back with me?
You've cheated in me too! We've been together this whole time and you've been fucking this dude!
I don't want to be with you Avery!
I don't want to be with a whore like you!
I got fucki g arrested because if you! And I lost my scholarship!
The fucking scholarship I fucking lost it Avery, because you wouldn't let me fuck you that night!
" He shouts. It feels as if every eye, of every person standing in this parking lot is pointed at the scene unfolding before them.
"Aiden, just keep walking," I mumble when I feel him tense and stop against me.
"It was you! You were at that dinner! Has she been fucking you good? Or didn't you get any of her pus-"
I don't have time to stop him. Aiden is on front of Jason milliseconds, his tattooed fist colliding with Jason nose.
A crowd immediately surrounds them as they fight each other, well more like Aiden fighting Jason.
Their body difference is huge, so the only punch Jason can land on Aiden's face doesn't uch damage to him.
Somehow, Jason manages to roll over so Aiden's underneath but the doesn't last long. Aiden throws him off and continues punching him.
He'll kill him if he continues.
I run up to him and put my hand on his shoulder. I would gush about the muscles I feel underneath the fabric of his suit but my breathing doesn't work as its supposed to and neither is the time right to fangirl about Aiden's body.
"Please." I whisper, he stops at the sound of my weakening voice. Standing up, he glances at Jason's bloodied face, and glares at everyone around us.
Wrapping an arm around my shoulders, he leads me to the car without a word exchanged.
He drives out of the parking lot and towards the highway, after he intertwines our fingers on the console department, of his sleek black car. I keep my gaze outside the window, on the passing scenery and cars, the biggest worry in my mind being if Aiden is getting in trouble after this.
"I won't, I can pay them." I guess I said that aloud. I nod, unable to answer. I focus on my breathing. My chest heaving every time I breath in, my fingers start to shake lightly.
"Are you okay?" His voice laced with concern. "Yeah, I just, do you have water?" I rasp out, my grip around his fingers tightening.
"It's in the back," he glances behind him. I reach behind, and take the half empty water bottle, drowning all of it.
"Ry, do you want me to stop?" his question doesn't register in my mind, my vision blurs with tears.
I don't realise when the car stops, or when Aiden pulls me out in the open, nor do I realise when he has me against his chest as he tries to calm me down.
........
