Chapter 15 Fallon

FALLON

Iscarfed down the peanut butter and jelly sandwich Keir had brought me. Nothing had ever tasted so good aside from Keir himself. I drank down an entire bottle of water in three gulps.

“Better?" Keir asked.

“Yes. I can already feel more energy.”

“You haven't slept enough.”

“Neither have you.”

It was late morning of Christmas Eve. How could it be that time moved too fast and too slowly at the same time? I should have been able to make an equation out of that but it only confused my mind more to think about it.

I grabbed my laptop and tried to focus. Messages kept ringing in from Control.

We had so much to do before five o’clock.

The storm was affecting the continuums, causing them to shift constantly.

We needed to complete the program that could automatically keep up and follow those changes so Santa wouldn't have to worry or, worst case, become forever lost in unmapped realms.

I loved working in bed sitting next to Keir.

He was amazing. The only downfall was that at some point this was going to end.

Would things go back to normal? Maybe for him.

But not for me. I couldn't help but be falling for him.

I'd been attracted to him since the day we met.

My unexpected heat had forced us into the position we were in now and I would never hold him to these last couple of days has any sort of manipulation into a relationship. But damn I wanted this to go further.

I typed as fast as I could but the numbers began to swim before me. Just thinking about being with Keir had my body in feverish sexual throes. Guttural sighs accidentally escaped my throat.

“How far along are you? Keir asked.

“You can see for yourself.” I turned the screen toward him.

His delicate golden eyebrows rose. “You work quickly even when you're under the weather.”

I loved the praise. But work was the last thing on my mind.

“Control will want those numbers like an hour ago.”

“I know. I'll try to keep working.”

Keir looked me up and down. “Maybe I can help.” He moved to me and pushed the covers all the way down to my ankles.

I started to slide the laptop away. “Keep it,” Keir commanded. “Don't mind me. Just try to focus on them.” He put his hands on my legs, spreading them.

“What are you doing?”

“Like I said, don't mind me. Try to focus. I'll help.”

What he did next didn't seem to help at all.

He lowered his head between my bent knees.

My laptop screen got in the way of the rest. I couldn't see what he was doing.

But I could feel it. A warm wet sucking began on my balls.

My eyes rolled up and closed. Did he think I would be able to focus while he did that?

His mouth was gentle, soothing. Tingles ran through my cock and ass.

My toes curled. I spread my legs wider. I opened them hoping again to see what he was doing.

But all I saw was my screen and my numbers.

The warm tongue laved at my sac, moving all around it, sometimes licking upward at the base of my cock.

He was gentle. This was different from the urgency that had come upon us before.

I loved the sensation, slow and smooth. It allowed me to catch my breath for a moment. Which was just what I needed because suddenly the numbers and symbols on my screen coalesced into something more coherent.

I reached out to my keyboard and began to play in the fields of math while Keir gently brought me waves of pleasure.

My laptop butted against his head as he lifted it a little to lick up my shaft.

“I feel like I should be paying attention only to you,” I said as I typed.

“Pay attention to the numbers. It turns me on.”

Now he had my cockhead in his mouth, giving it light suction. This was strangely exhilarating if not also absurd. My mind cleared. I saw immediately what I needed to do to keep Santa safe during this unique storm.

I typed faster the closer to orgasm I got. It was the most amazing feeling ever. Like two worlds had mingled to create a greater source. I let the ecstasy fuel my brain and my brain responded with equation after equation that led closer and closer to a solution.

“Keir, I’m close.”

“Come in my mouth.”

“No, I mean, yes. That, too. I’m talking about a solution.”

My computer jerked in my lap as his head hit it. He let my cock go and peered around the edge of the screen. “Really?”

“Yes. Keep doing what you're doing. It's fueling my mind.”

“Anytime, honey. Anytime.”

My cock was enveloped in wet warmth again. Again, no urgency. It was a sort of waiting game where I was half on the ledge and half off with both my orgasm and my numbers. Such bliss.

I wondered how long Keir could keep this up. Or if I could keep working while he actually fucked me. And knotted me. Now that would be something.

Finally, my orgasm hit me hard, blanking out the world for half a minute or more. Heat orgasms were like that, long and lasting. Beautiful. My world turned upside down.

Keir kept sucking even after I came. But he’d moved from my cock back down to my balls. He shoved a pillow under my ass and spread my cheeks, working his way down to my hole. My laptop slid up a little. I was scrunched up, my arms bent awkwardly to keep typing.

“Ohh, that feels so good.”

“Just making you ready for when you want more.”

I wanted to laugh. In heat, I was always ready. The slick never stopped. My hole twitched and throbbed, opening to the warm strength of his tongue. I continued to work faster than ever. Things were shaping up both for Santa’s Sleigh and below my waist.

Even though I'd already come, my cock had never softened. Keir kept me in a pleasured state that was fantastic but not all-consuming. How did he know how to calm me so well?

It had to be the alpha boss in him. The way he read people so well and understood their needs.

He was naturally empathic and a leader. I wanted his sensitivity to be only to me, about me.

But I was smarter than that. He liked me.

He called me honey. But that was who he was.

I couldn't waste time thinking about how I wanted it to be more. I had work to do.

Soon, another orgasm threatened to take me away. But not before I had accomplished a hell of a lot.

I let the liquid wave consume me. Like a reward for a job well done. Finally, I lay back exhausted.

The next thing I knew, Keir was holding a glass of water to my lips. I drank rapidly.

“Did I fall asleep?”

“For a few minutes.” His face was close to mine and he smiled as he kissed my forehead.

“I don't remember.”

“I do. You were beautiful. I've already read over your work and sent it in to be integrated. It's amazing. Now all they need to do is test it.”

“You're going to need to be there. No one else can fly the sleigh.”

“I didn't say it was going to be a flight test. It's so late now that Santa's going to have to do that on his own. But he's used to last minute preparations.”

“He shouldn't have to worry.”

“It's Christmas Eve. We all always worry.”

He kissed me again. Right on the temple. No matter where those kisses were, my hair, my lips, my ass, they always made the room spin.

Keir’s knot was still inside me as I looked at the time.

“So, I guess you'll be leaving after... after we are done here.”

“What do you mean?”

“When your knot goes down.”

He pulled me close. “You're still in heat.”

“Yeah but it's getting close to five o’clock. You'll want to be there when Santa takes flight. You always are, right?”

“Never missed a single one.” His forefinger traced my eyebrow and then his fingers were in my hair.

“I know.”

“It's okay. You have to go.”

“Do you want to go?”

“Me? I'm in no shape.”

“The sendoff is outdoors. Even with the freezing storm we'll all be bundled up and waving him on. It'll be too cold and windy for anyone to notice your heat. They all think you have the flu. They'll stay away."

I'd always watched Santa’s take off on live TV. It had been my dream to someday see it in person.

Keir shifted his body and his knot pressed against a very sensitive area inside me. I gasped through my orgasm and clung to him as he echoed with his own.

“Is it really possible?” I moaned, still trying to catch my breath.

“Of course it is. You deserve to be there. You're the reason Christmas is going to happen this year. Without you on the team I don't think we could have pulled it off. Not without some damage, or worse, to Santa.”

“If anyone saved Christmas, it's you.” He deserved all the credit.

“We worked together, but I can't do the equations that you summon up. Some of them I can't even understand.”

“You made it possible. Thank you for everything you've done for me over the past couple of days.”

“We'll talk about that later.”

Later? I wasn't sure what that meant. Maybe he didn't want to talk about it ever, what we had done. What he had to do to keep Christmas and the Santa myth alive.

When he slipped out of me and stood naked by the side of the bed, I feasted my gaze upon him trying to remember every long and lean detail of him. If he never came back here, I'd still have these fantastic memories.

“Shower first.” He grinned. “Then dress in your warmest clothes. Let's go to Christmas Eve together.”

He didn't look worried at all about my heat ending. Even though it wasn't technically over, it would be by tomorrow. That was when Christmas celebrations really began for everyone in Santa's Village.

I was surprised when he got in the hot shower with me and helped me wash. The caretaking alpha in him was still very much involved. I leaned back against his body and let the fall of water drench me, the sound of it like white noise against my tired mind.

We dried off and were dressed and ready to go in half an hour.

I had sprinkled myself with springtime powder to try to dilute the scent of my heat.

But when we got outside I realized it had been unnecessary.

The wind swirled around us. Snow flew by so fast we could barely see as we got into Keir’s car.

Visibility was poor but not impossible. The snowplows had been by recently so the streets we're clear.

My new apartment was close to the office and the hangar. It only took us five minutes to get there.

The runway lights were on full-force, shiny and bright overhead and on the ground. Through the sleet, we could see the hangar doors beginning to open. We ran up to join the crowd of our team who greeted us with huge smiles and back slaps.

“We did it!” they cried out one by one.

Drake came up to me and said, “I hope you're feeling better. Even sick, you did the best work I've ever seen.”

“Thank you.” I kept my arms tight to my sides still unsure if they could see my heat.

It wasn't about shame so much as I didn't know Keir’s position on all of this.

If he didn't want it known that he slept with one of his team, I would respect that.

I didn't ever want to take a wrong step, especially in this situation, without his permission.

A cry went up over the runway. The sleigh was exiting the hangar. Even through the thick storm, it gleamed and glowed. Bright red with gold trim and black leather seats, the sleigh was encased in a soft pink light.

Eight huge reindeer led it. Their reins were trimmed with gold bells that rang through the air. They pranced and danced, tossing their heads. It was so magical to witness. A thrill went through my body to be able to witness this phenomenal moment.

Even at the last minute, many of the team had their tablets out and were doing final checks. A lot of them were still back at Control. Throughout his flight, Santa maintained constant contact with his team.

Keir had a tablet out, as well. He must have hidden it in a coat pocket. He held it out so both of us could see it. The sleigh showed up on a grid, full color, with numbers along the bottom and at the sides. As I studied them I could see everything was clear. It filled my heart with joy.

“Looking good,” Keir called out to the crowd.

He put his arm around my shoulders. I wasn't sure what to think. Everyone could see us.

“We are all heroes here.” He shouted through the wind so most of the people could hear him. “But we are very lucky to have our own ringer, too. Fallon is to be commended. He held us up and gave us so much during these last few days. None of this would be happening without all of you, though.”

Santa waved from his moving sleigh and gave a hearty, “Ho ho ho.”

People begin to shout and wave. “Safe flight! Merry Christmas!”

When the sleigh took off it was like it took part of my stomach with it. I felt like I was in it with Santa for a moment and going up toward the unseen stars.

Keir’s gloved hand grabbed my own. “This is it. What we work for all year.” He turned his smiling face toward me. “Are you up for going back to Control?”

I wasn't sure. The cold wind was severe, pepping me up, making me energized. In this moment, I didn't feel my fever.

“I can try.”

“Let's go.”

We followed the crowd back to the offices and took the stairs down to Control.
