Chapter 31
CHAPTER THIRTY-ONE
HARPER
I wake peacefully, naked and savoring the pleasant ache between my thighs. The bad dreams are gone now that Felix and Tyler are mine. A smile spreads across my face as I roll onto my back and stare at the ceiling.
Last night… my god. The memory sends a ripple of butterflies through me.
How is this perfect life real? I can still feel their touch on me, in me—Tyler’s gentle hands counterbalanced by Felix’s demanding grip.
My skin tingles, remembering how I took them both at once.
Their eyes upon me. Their groans as we gave pleasure to each other.
Wherever they are right now, I need to find them.
My phone rings before I have a chance to climb out of bed. I grab it from the bedside table, answering when Ally’s name appears on the screen. We’ve sent a few texts over the last couple of weeks but for the most part I’ve been too occupied with Tyler, Felix, and work.
“Hey, Ally. How are you?”
“Worried about you. We haven’t spoken in a while which isn’t like us.”
I sit up and rub a hand over my face, cringing with guilt. “I know. I’m sorry. I’ve been caught up with—”
“Felix?” Ally laughs softly. “Don’t worry, I understand.”
“Tyler too. He’s here with us.”
She’s silent, absorbing my words, confused yet hopeful when she speaks again. “Tyler is with you and Felix? As in you three are… back together?”
“Yes.”
She squeals so loudly I have to pull the phone away from my ear. “Harper, I’m so happy for you. I need details. Felix and Tyler worked out their issues?”
I laugh, pleased by her reaction and wanting to tell her everything.
But that would involve an explanation of Tyler being shot.
We’ll tell her the truth in time. I’m just not convinced sharing sensitive news over the phone is appropriate.
Felix has only given minimal updates to the family that he suspects Ferguson is dead.
“Yes, they solved their issues,” I say. “It’s a long story. Probably best I tell you in person.”
“That’s no fun. I need to know now.”
“I promise we’ll see each other soon. We’ll do all sorts of fun bridal activities and I’ll explain everything. We’ll invite you and Dan over for dinner at our place. Killian too.”
The excitement drops from her voice. “I don’t know how likely a get together at your place is.
Dan is still angry at Felix for putting us in danger.
They haven’t spoken in weeks. I hope they can solve their issues soon because the wedding is barely three weeks away and I’d hate for there to be tension between them on the day. ”
“I’m sure they’ll sort everything out. Felix has been stressed. We’ve been busy.”
She laughs again. “Yeah, I can imagine.”
I fall backward onto the mattress, laughing with her. “Oh, shut up. Not busy in that way. Tyler hasn’t been well. We have a lot to tell you.”
Ally pauses, the mood shifting, her silence thick with concern. “Harper, what’s really going on? Josh gave us a brief message from Felix that he suspects this Quentin Ferguson person died in a car crash. Why do I feel like there’s more to this story?”
I sigh, needing to be honest with her. “Because your instinct is right. Ally, please, trust me when I say we’ll explain everything to you soon.”
“Okay, I trust you.”
As soon as we end the phone call, I wrap the black satin bed sheets around my naked body.
Before leaving the room, I spot my Little Sinner dagger on the bedside table and strap it to my thigh, knowing I’m safe within The Scarlet Mirage but loving everything the dagger represents.
Power and independence. This underworld of Felix’s has now become mine and Tyler’s world too.
Danger can present itself at any time. I want to always be prepared to defend myself and my men.
Once I leave the confines of the bedroom, it doesn’t take me long to find Felix and Tyler, hearing them inside the office.
The door is ajar. Through the gap, I see Felix leaning over his desk, pointing at something on a large sheet of paper.
Tyler stands beside him. They’re laughing, looking like the close brothers they used to be.
“You want to build a voyeurism room?” The left side of Tyler’s lips slant up. “We can definitely make that addition. Let me guess, you want Harper to have the audience she’s always fantasized about?”
“Of course.”
My tummy leaps, hearing their conversation.
I’m reminded of the first time I saw a public display of sex.
It was a threesome between people unknown to me, at a party Felix threw when I was eighteen.
A crowd of men were watching, getting off on the sight.
The display unleashed a fantasy to recreate the scene with Felix and Tyler in front of an audience.
For me, there’s nothing more erotic than being watched while doing something so depraved.
Perhaps it’s because I grew up with strict values, always needing to be a good girl, denying my sexual urges because they weren’t “normal.” The thought of people watching me do something so incredibly dirty, with Felix and Tyler of all people, is the pinnacle of my fantasies.
They tried to make the fantasy a reality when I was eighteen, throwing a party filled with masked strangers in the hedge maze at the Blackwood beach house.
The night turned out differently. Horrendously, with Felix taken to Westbridge.
Since then, I’ve dismissed the fantasy, not thinking about it much over the years.
A delicious shiver runs down my spine, hearing the discussion of a voyeurism room. My men want to make the fantasy come true for me. But something else comes to mind—a realization of what I’m witnessing in Felix’s office.
Felix is discussing business plans with Tyler.
I push the door open with excitement. “You two are working together?”
They both look up, smiling at my arrival. “Yes. Come here, baby,” Tyler says.
I’m overflowing with happiness, seeing them like this, working together after so many years of bitterness, when it was always a dream of theirs.
I greet each of them with a good morning kiss. Felix sits on the desk and pulls me onto his lap, pausing when his hand brushes against my thigh, feeling the dagger beneath the sheet I’m wrapped in.
He hikes the sheet up my leg, finding the blade in its sheath. “You’re wearing the dagger right now?”
“What dagger?” Tyler asks.
“I bought Harper a dagger as a safety precaution. Protection against Ferguson.”
“You told me to always wear it,” I say.
“Yes, when your life was under threat. There’s no need for you to wear it anymore. We’re all safe. Theo gave me confirmation of Ferguson’s death.”
“Really?” I chew my bottom lip, processing the information. The news is a relief; I just don’t know if I’ll ever truly relax. At least not so soon after Tyler was shot.
“Yes. I promise, we’re all safe.”
I smile and shrug. “Okay, but I like wearing the dagger. It was a gift from you. Plus, it makes me feel powerful. I can strike the next time anyone threatens us.”
“There won’t be a next time. I’m involved in illegal dealings but rarely do I come face to face with danger anymore. I have men who do all the heavy lifting for me. Ferguson was a rare exception. Bodyguards will still be shadowing you.”
“Then consider the dagger a piece of jewelry. There’s no harm in me wearing it.”
“Fine.” Felix releases a breath of laughter, letting the topic slide. He looks me over, pleased by my disheveled appearance. “It’s a good thing no staff are here. Your hair is a mess. You look freshly fucked. How are you feeling after last night?”
“Incredible.” I slip my hand into Tyler’s, drawing him closer till I’m wedged between the two again. “This, right now… It’s everything I’ve ever wanted. Tell me this time we’re forever.”
“We are.” Tyler kisses my lips, wrapping my legs around his waist while I remain on Felix’s lap.
“Nothing is going to ruin us this time,” Felix murmurs along my cheek. “We’ve already made every mistake possible. We’ve changed from the people who made those mistakes. I promise you, Harper, from here forward, it’s you, me, Tyler. Our child.”
I inhale quickly, looking back and forth at them. “What—”
Felix presses a finger to my lips. “Tyler and I have discussed everything. The child will be all of ours. There will be no paternity testing. No marriage. Just the bond we’ve shared since childhood.
” Felix opens each of my palms and runs a finger along my two scars.
One scar for Felix and a second for Tyler.
I frown, lowering my head. “I love everything you say but… I don’t think I can get pregnant. There’s something wrong with my body.”
Tyler kisses me, making me gasp as he grinds between my thighs.
“The reason you haven’t gotten pregnant again is because you haven’t been happy.
Your body knows when you’re stressed. Everything will change now that we’re all together.
Felix and I will get you pregnant, baby.
I promise. You’ll be filled with cum non-stop.
You’ll be having so much sex, there’s no chance you won’t get pregnant. ”
I smile, hoping his words are true. I love seeing Tyler like this again—the happy, carefree guy I fell so deeply in love with all those years ago.
A perfect idea springs to mind. I lick my lips, pulsing with desire as I look at the two brothers. “There’s one more thing I want.”
“Anything. It’s yours.” Tyler kisses my neck, growing harder by the second as his hips rock against me.
I place a hand on Tyler’s chest, pressing space between us so he can see how serious I am with these next words to him and Felix.
“There won’t be a traditional marriage between us, but I want to be married to the two of you in our own way.
You’ll both be my husbands, even if it’s not legal.
I want a ceremony that fits us. A blood promise.
” I stroke my finger along their hand scars.
“We’ll reopen our scars and share blood. ”
“Done,” Felix says without a second of hesitation, his voice husky. “Now I have a request. Take our last name. I want everyone to know you’re ours.”
My lips twitch with pleasure. “Harper Blackwood? Yes. I love the sound of it.”
“Fuck, yes,” Tyler growls, hitching the bedsheets higher up my thighs with urgency.
I’m wet, ready for him again, turned on by the thought of us three fucking in this office, but I need to say one last thing before we get too carried away.
“There’s more,” I moan as Tyler rubs against my clit while Felix unwraps the bedsheets, stroking my nipples.
“The two of you will give me my party I never got to properly attend, from the night Felix was taken away. We’ll return to the hedge maze for our ceremony.
I want spectators watching us exchange vows.
Witnesses to our union. They’ll watch us draw blood.
Then they’ll watch us consummate our marriage. ”
The two brothers stop their advancements and look at me in shock. Then their gaze switches to each other and they smirk.
