Chapter 9 Husband’s Return

"Stop crying!" my Husband roared at me.

I did not dare disobey.

I could only sniff and swallow all my grievances.

But soon he walked over awkwardly and said through gritted teeth, "I did not mean to roar at you. I just... am not used to it."

Huh.

Was he apologizing?

I blinked and instantly felt better. "It's all right."

My Husband had not come home for too long.

It was normal not to be used to it. I just needed to let him get used to it.

I smiled with curved eyes again and asked him, "Husband, shall we go back to the room and sleep?"

He froze for a second. "Sleep what?"

The next moment his eyes locked on empty air.

His despairing wail echoed through the entire living room.

"Isn't this also a task?"
