Chapter 67 Plan
Eva was busy with his thoughts. Today is the weekend, and she just wanted to spend time with her family and Stephen. But her morning started with this news and was followed by Mr. Miller‘s call, who notified her to reach the office to sign some deal papers.
Mr. Miller already informed Stephen about this. To be truthful, she was skeptical about Stephen’s reaction to this news. However, when Stephen himself asked her to go to the office, she felt surprised and unprepared to attend.
Now Eva understood these papers were not so crucial, but someone was eager to know her reaction after they published the newattend. And she knew he did not expect her presence here.
Her trail of thoughts broke when the ringtone
Disturbed, she noticed the caller and a wide smile spread on her lips. It was from Stephen.
“Hi, so done with your work."
“Hmm, it was hardly a task.”
“ Ok then come out. I am waiting for you."
“.“What? You are here. To pick me up. ‘
“ Yes wife, didn’t I tell you we will have a weekend for ourselves? Now don’t make me wait; come out. “
Eva giggled at his words; she just grabbed her mobile and small handbag.
She informed Mr. Miller and soon left for the lift.
On the way, she spotted Liam, who was busy on his phone.
Eva acted to ignore his presence and soon entered the lift after reaching the ground floor.
Near his car, she spotted Stephen waiting for her.
He was dressed in casual clothes and had sunglasses on.
Eva took in his entire appearance. He looked like a model out of a fashion magazine.
Stephen smiled, noticing her gaze on him
Eva reached near him in slow steps and stood near him. Stephen smiled and pulled her close by her waist. Eva smiled at him and he gave her a kiss on the cheek
Stephen opened the car door for her, and Eva took her place next to the driver’s seat.
Stephen got comfortable in his seat and gazed up at the building. A figure was observing them intently, causing a smirk to appear on Stephen’s face before he embarked on his journey. In a separate car, the security team pursued them.
While it focused him on driving, Eva maintained her gaze on him. It was the very first time she had seen him behind the wheel.
‘What? Why this surprise look?” Stephen inquired about her.
“Nothing much, just observing you drive for the first time.
“I enjoy driving, but my work schedule doesn’t allow me to do it often.
"Where are we heading too?”
"Patience, darling, you will know it soon."
Eva smiled and realized they were heading out of town, as she admired the view.
Even though Eva was enjoying the moment, she couldn’t spend time with Michael, as he had already informed her about his departure.
Eva wished to spend some time with her father after completing the office work. But the unexpected visit of Stephen and looking at his excitement about this outing plan, she kept her wishes to herself, as she didn’t want to upset Stephen.
After a drive of almost two hours, the car hated it, and Stephen opened the door for Eva.
Eva stepped down and found them in front of a house, surrounded by a vast garden.
Eva gazed at Stephen in curiosity and Stephen answers her unasked question
“This is our farm house; come on, let’s go in."
Stephen held her close and started moving towards the house. On the way, Eva noticed the beautiful garden on either side. This one was much bigger than their smith mansion.
Seeing the different colors of roses and other flowers brought a smile to her face. Guessing the names of multiple flowers was beyond her ability.
Stephen kept gazing at her excitement in between his walks. Soon they reached the main door of the farmhouse. Stephen opened the door for her and the moment Eva entered inside the lavish living room, her eyes twinkled in joy and excitement
The Smith family, including Michael, Richard, and Robert, were all present. The others smiled warmly to welcome her.
Eva smiled more and then looked at Stephen, who asked her,
“Did you like the surprise?”
“I love it, thank you so much, but how...
“ I know you must be wishing to spend time with Michael, so we thought of arranging this get-together.' Eva thanked Stephens and then she rushed to hug her dad and then greeted Richard and Robert
They are having a wonderful time chatting and talking with each other. Stephen had already ordered the dinner from Richard’s restaurant.
Stephen was enjoying his drink with Richard and Steve while chatting with them
In between, he used to peek glances at Eva
Richard and Steve observed how his eyes would occasionally follow Eva.
“ Stephen, I think you should have dropped this idea to get together."
“Why? “
“ Look at you, man; you will not stop staring at her.
‘ It’s undeniable that he is completely smitten by Eva.” Steve supported Richard
“Well, that’s true. The moment I laid eyes on her, I knew I was in love. Right now, I’m looking at my wife, and I don’t care if there’s a problem.”
“Hmm, well, we are happy for you,’ Richard expressed his excitement. “You both look so much in love."
Stephen exhale a breath and told them
“I love her, but I’m still trying to understand her feelings for me.”
“ What do you mean? “
“ Everyone is well aware of the Hudson family’s intentions and Michael’s reason for choosing me for Eva. Our marriage was an arranged one , and she married me to fulfill her dad’s wish. It took a considerable amount of time for her to become at ease with me.
“ It’s quite clear that you’re rude, and Eva is soft-hearted.” Steve commented to tease Stephen
’Shut up, you idiot. I always behave softly with her.”
“You wish.’.
“Steve “
“Will you both stop this stupid bantering and Stephen? What made you think she didn’t have the same feeling for you? She said something to you: “
“ No.. Actually, that’s another problem: she doesn’t share her thoughts with me. ‘ Stephen gave a look at Eva, who was busy chatting with her dad.
“Look at her—how she is enjoying her dad’s company. She is comfortable around everyone in the family; even she talks with Samantha and you too, but with me she hesitates a lot.
I am sure she doesn’t love me.
"Relax,give her some more time. Everything will be fine with time .“
“ Yes, he is right and I am not agreeing with you, as I know she loves you
“Really, and what made you think like that?”
“I know and I can prove it—I mean, if you want."
“Hmm, and how are you planning to prove this?” Richard inquired,
“I will, but for that, Stephen has to keep consenting with me. I will handle the other things.”
Richard gave a look at Steve and then at Stephen.
Sorry but not interested in your silly games
“Despite everything, I have confidence in him regarding this. Stephen, I think you should give him a chance; after all, experience counts.”
“Richard, as you don’t know him? I don’t know what he will prove , but he can get me divorced
“ Stephen, come on.”
“ Let it be Richard; it scared him to know the actual feelings of Eva. But I am telling you both that she loves him too."
Richard signaled Stephen to agree with Steve, and Stephen had to give in on this request.

Steve smiled at his reply and forwarded his glass
“So let’s begin the game."
Richard laughed while Stephen let out a sigh, but they still toasted with him.
It was dinner time when everyone was enjoying the dinner and praising the food.
Suddenly Steve asked Stephen,
“ Stephen, tomorrow is an important day for you, right? You must be excited, but not as much as me.”
Stephen halted his fork in between and gaped at Steve, who in return raised an eyebrow at him and then he recalled his words so he has to play along
“ Yes, it is an important day
“ Why? What’s tomorrow? “
Rose inquired to them and Steve started as he was waiting for this question
“Mom, tomorrow is the day of the photoshoot for our watch brand.
“So what’s new about that? It happens every year.
“Yes, that’s true. However, this year our brand has Natalia, the well-known supermodel, as our brand ambassador.’
“What? Really, and why didn’t you tell me?
Richard jumped in. “Stephen, send me the address of the shoot. I will reach there on time.
Steve gaped at Richard in astonishment and found out he was not acting and must be a genuine admirer of Natalia
Where Eva stared at Richard, she never saw Richard excited like this and just listening to a girl named
Rose chuckled and teased him
‘ I think finally I got a match for you too."
"No. It’s nothing like that, but she is really pretty,” Richard uttered in unease
“Yes, he is right, and you don’t believe Mom. she was junior to Stephen in college and I heard she has a big crush on Stephen
What? “ Richard shouted in agony
Whereas Steve gave a hard glare at Richard to hide his genuine emotions, which are now spoiling his plan
Despite the recent development, Eva fixated her attention on Stephen, who appeared more interested in savoring his meal than listening to Steve.
This brought a smile to Eva’s face too.
