Epilogue #2
He closes his eyes for a second. His emotions momentarily get the best of him. “Thank God I finally gave in because I can’t imagine my life without you… and I don’t ever want to.”
“Fuck,” I mumble. I bring my hand up to my face to wipe my tears away.
Will keeps his hand wrapped around mine, so we’re effectively both wiping at my face. This makes us chuckle.
Will’s lips press against the wet tracks on my cheek. With his free hand, he starts patting at his pockets. His eyes dart toward Owen and then Miles.
“I don’t have it,” Miles says, holding his hands up. “I didn’t think we were doing it here… now.”
What?
“You don’t have what?” I ask.
“The ring,” Miles says on a heavy exhale, then freezes.
“Ring?” I choke out.
“Yeah, the ring,” Owen says. “We want to marry you.”
Oh fuck.
I’m pretty sure I’m going to have a heart attack or a stroke or maybe even an aneurism from how hard my heart is pounding in my chest. I can feel it everywhere from my fingertips to the inside my skull.
Marry me?
Owen continues. “I was hooked after the first conversation we had. It took less than two hours for me to know you were the one for me. I spent too many years without you, and I don’t ever want to go through that again.”
He motions his finger between both of our chests. “I want this… for all of the days I have left here on Earth.”
And I’m crying again.
“Stop making me cry,” I say, furiously swiping at my cheeks.
“I think I’m the perfect guy for the job, then,” Miles says with a big smile, which makes me laugh through my tears. “I want to wake up with you in my arms as many mornings as possible.”
He rolls his eyes. “I know I have to share you with these two,” he says, nodding in his brothers’ direction.
“Miles,” Will warns.
“I’m just kidding,” Miles says.
I know none of them have a problem with sharing me, least of all Miles.
“Anyway,” Miles continues, dragging out the word, “I want to fold baskets of laundry and pack lunches together. I want to celebrate birthdays and Christmases. I want all the little moments that quietly become the loudest ones in our memories. I want all of it, Avery.”
I swat at his chest, crying harder now. “Dammit,” I rasp out. “You weren’t supposed to make my cry more.”
He takes over, wiping my tears away. “Sorry, gorgeous, but this is one of the few times when I’m going to be okay with making you cry.”
“So, will you?” Will asks. “Marry us?”
“I know we don’t have the ring—” Miles starts, but I cut him off.
“I don’t need a ring. I just need you,” I say, taking a second to look at each of them.
“There is a ring, and it’s going to go on your finger as soon as we get home,” Owen says. I can only half understand him grumbling something about me never taking it off.
“Avery?” Will asks again. He doesn’t say anything other than my name, but I know what he’s asking.
“Yes, of course I’ll marry you… all of you.”
“Thank fuck,” Will whispers. Then his hands are on either side of my face, and he’s kissing me.
Our eyes stay locked in a heated trance, even when we both lean away from one another.
“You’re going to be my wife,” Miles says.
I turn to face him with a growing smile. “And you’re going to be my husband.”
“Fuck yeah.” He wraps his arms around me, pulling me as close to him as he can despite Owen still being wedged between my legs. Miles kisses all over my face.
I’m laughing when I turn from Miles to gaze up at Owen. His light blue eyes are a sea of adoration and hope.
“I love you,” I tell him.
“I love you, too.” One of his large hands pulls my head against his chest. “And I’m going to love you every day for the rest of my life, and even after that.”
It isn’t funny coming from Owen, like it might be from anyone else. I don’t doubt his words for even a second.
I smile at all three of my men.
“So, we’re really doing this. We’re getting married,” Miles says.
Someone gasps from behind the wall of men standing before me. We were so lost in each other, none of us realized anyone else had walked outside.
The guys shift so I can see Hadley standing there. Her eyes are wide as she’s trying to mask the smirk spreading over her lips.
“I came to check on you. I didn’t know all of this was going on, but holy crap… girl.”
She isn’t paying the guys any attention. She’s staring right at me. I’m going to be hit with a million questions the chance she gets me alone or with just Sienna around.
“Okay, okay. I’ll leave you to it. I’m so happy for all of you.” She turns to leave, then whispers shouts over her shoulder, “Three dicks are so much better than one.”
I bust out laughing, burying my face against Owen’s chest. The guys start laughing, especially Miles.
My limbs might be getting cold, but I’m not ready to go back inside. I want a few more minutes with them before I have to share them with everyone else.
“I love you,” I whisper.
They all return the sentiment, touching me in some way. A sense of peace settles over me, knowing this is going to be mine for the rest of my life.
I tilt my head to look at the stars above. A light breeze touches my face. Instead of feeling icy, it’s a warm hug.
Mom. Dad.
I take it as their blessing. Maybe it’s real, or maybe I’m crazy. Either way, I’ll take it.
I get to spend forever with these men who are perfect for me. I’m damn lucky.
The end.

Get stuck in a cabin and claimed by three off-limits firemen? No way.
After being robbed, I flew home with my pride in a carry-on and my faithful corgi stowed in cargo.
So when the passenger next to me looked like People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive, I did what any heartbroken girl would do.
I followed him into the tiny bathroom to forget my troubles at 30,000 feet.
And forget I did?—
Until my brother picked us up at the airport.
Mr. Sexy Face tossed our luggage into the trunk, smirking like we had a secret.
Because we did. A very naked one.
Then, lured by the promise of ‘all-inclusive relaxation’,
I accepted my brother's invite to the firehouse ski trip.
Cue the surprise blizzard.
Now I’m snowed in with three forbidden firefighters.
Jaxon , my wild ride in the sky… Now I’m his favorite landing strip.
Colt , Mr. December in the charity calendar, looks like he splits logs with his bare hands.
And Ryan , the golden retriever jokester who makes me beg between the sheets.
They’ve all claimed me. At the same time.
I’m so screwed.
I can’t choose between them. And I’m not about to burn it all down and run.
Not when my three firemen make me feel like I’m finally home.
