CHAPTER 36 #2

For I had fallen in love with Gabriela Regina Bellafiore.

It didn’t happen instantly, rather in small increments over the span of weeks.

I think I fell in love with her smile first—the way she laughed and grinned during our banter.

Then her eyes—the way they watched me with soft possession whenever I was doing something mundane like driving, opening her car door, carrying her belongings.

Then her voice—the way she sounded when we talked about anything and everything under the sun, especially when we lay together in bed.

Then her kindness—the way she always complimented and made me feel so warm, the way she cooked and baked for me, the way she fussed over me to make sure I was okay, the way she always held my hand.

And her demeanour—the way she remained positive even during one of the greyest periods of her life and how she never failed to be there for her loved ones.

I wanted to tell her I loved her. I wanted to tell her so bad, but I remained tongue-tied, an invisible force keeping those three monumental words at bay.

I’d already made myself vulnerable before her.

She owned so much of me. Maybe a part of me was afraid that if I said I love you out loud, it would change the perfect pace we had going.

Though I was certain she was halfway in love with me, I wanted to be certain that she was in this all the way before I poured my heart out.

“How does it feel to be watched by everyone like you’re the most beautiful girl in the world?” I whispered in her ear.

She inched me an amused expression and tucked her winged back deeper into my chest. “You haven’t seen every girl in the world, Hunter. You can’t know if I’m the most beautiful.”

“I don’t need to see all the girls in the world. You’ve been my definition of beauty since I first laid eyes on you, baby.”

The amusement on her face shattered and was replaced by something solemn. She whirled around in my embrace and gently stroked my bottom lip with her thumb.

Fuck, she’s so lovely. All I want to do is keep her safe.

“And I don’t need to see every man in the world to know that the most beautiful one is standing right before me.

I adore you with every fiber of my soul.

” She searched my gaze. “Thank you for patiently waiting for me. Being with you is one of the greatest honours of my life…and the fact that you no longer want to blend in with the crowd fills me with so much joy. You’re one of a kind, Hunter, and you were made to stand out. I’m so glad you’ve finally seen it.”

Her confession robbed me of speech momentarily.

I could only watch her beseechingly, my heart pounding.

Somehow, I found the will to utter in a thick voice, “It’s because of you. You made me want to be seen, Gabby.”

She grinned, the little gem on her canine winking in the light. “What a pair we make, huh?”

“The perfect one.”

“I need you to kiss me, Hunter.”

We’d finally come full circle. “Say please like a good girl and I will.”

“Please,” she whispered like it was a prayer, brushing her mouth to mine.

Unlike our first kiss, which was packed with urgency and carnal desire, this one was softer and slower.

We made out like we had all the time in the world.

Her arms vined around my waist, pressing us close.

Hand clutching her neck, I kissed her passionately.

My tongue licked her mouth with deep strokes, and needy sounds clawed up Gabriela’s throat.

I bet if I pushed my fingers between her thighs, I’d find her pussy soaked.

I drew my kisses down her neck, pausing to decorate love bites on her porcelain skin. Gabriela tilted her head back, giving me more access. “H-Hunt, let’s leave. I can’t wait anymore. I want you.”

“We’ve only been here for thirty minutes, doll.” I nipped Gabriela’s bottom lip, goddamned hungry for her. “We leave now, everyone will know it was to fuck.”

“I don’t care,” she moaned into our kiss. “Please.”

Fuck, I could never deny her. I’d been sporting a semi since she walked into my apartment looking like my wet dream in her Halloween costume.

Everything about her had me salivating. The black angel wings on her back.

The gold serpents on her heels and the one coiled around her neck.

The obsidian-painted toes, courtesy of that one time when she sent me a feet picture and I jokingly requested she do black like her soul next.

The criminally short black leather skirt that did fantastic things for her legs but was one slip away from baring her perky ass.

The matching bustier revealing flashes of her flat stomach and the heart-shaped belly ring when she moved.

The red-glossed lips with her dark red hair curled loosely the way I loved.

She looked every inch like my fallen angel from Shaun’s party all those weeks ago. Roaming the Earth. Tormenting me with her seductiveness. Reeling me in with the sinful curl of her mouth.

I’d already had her this morning when she woke me up with her mouth on my dick.

I came down her throat with rough, sleepy groans.

She crawled up my body, kissed my lips, and told me in an innocent tone that my breakfast was ready.

A steaming mug of black coffee and four heart-shaped fluffy pancakes rested on my nightstand table, with a generous dollop of whipped cream and sprinkles.

Instead, I flipped Gabriela onto her back, spread her thighs, and ate her out first.

Now I was raging with the need to take her again. This time outside on the hood of my Jag and cater to that exhibitionist streak of hers.

I was so addicted to my little doll. I would never have enough of her.

Based on the way she watched me—packed with heat and wickedness, she wouldn’t have enough of me either.

“You win, sweetheart. Wave goodbye to your friends so we can leave.”

“What—ooh!”

I picked her up and slung her over my shoulder, fireman style. She squealed. Her skirt rose up enough to bare the ends of her cheeks. I spanked her ass, barely resisting the urge to bite it, before dragging the hemline back to its original place. For now. “Say bye, Gabby.”

She waved and blew air kisses to her girls as I walked us out the front doors of Remington manor.
