Chapter 26
Carson opened his eyes reluctantly, then shut them tightly again.
Remy’s tiny whimper as he snuggled close to him brought a wide smile to his face.
Tucking Remy’s head under his chin, he inhaled his mate’s soothing scent, knowing it would always represent home to him, fulfilling all the dreams he ever had about a mate.
Then, hearing the grandfather clock strike the hour, he realized Mrs. B would be back soon with Remy’s brothers. Time to get up.
Barely opening one eye, he saw that the light sphere had dissipated, leaving Remy’s body glowing where the sun’s rays washed over it.
Running his hand over his mate’s curves, Carson’s cock twitched, rising again in response to the sparks his caresses ignited.
Stilling his hand, Carson willed his dick down; there wasn’t enough time left to love his mate the way Remy deserved.
Sighing, he tried to erase the erotic images in his mind—they’d have to wait until his mate’s brothers were asleep for the night.
“Why did you stop?” Remy asked, his voice thick with sleep.
“Because your brothers will be home shortly and unless you want to have a talk about the birds and bees sooner than you planned, we need to get up and shower,” Carson grinned. “I promise to make sure your dick and balls are clean, inside and out.”
“Shit…” Remy sat up, glancing at his phone. “Oh fuck! C’mon, Mrs. B will be home in twenty minutes.” Scrambling out of bed, he glanced over his shoulder at Carson still in bed, slowly stroking his hard cock. “By the way, did your father ever give you that talk? ”
Distracted by Remy’s beautiful ass, Carson asked, “What talk?”
“The sex talk…you know…did he tell you all about fucking?” asked Remy.
Laughing, Carson shook his head. “My father was an asshole…the only thing I learned from him was how not to be an Alpha.”
“So, who did?”
“My older brothers…but it was more a bees and bees talk.”
“Oh good…since my parents never gave me the talk and you have experience, I think it’s better if my brothers come to you about that kind of stuff,” Remy giggled, sashaying toward the bathroom.
“What? Wait!” Carson jumped out of bed; his hard-on forgotten as he trailed his mate to the bathroom.
“I didn’t say I gave it…and I don’t think I should do it because, you know, I could scar them for life.
Maybe my brother Colton should do it. He’s a nurse so he’ll have all the answers to any possible questions they may have… yeah, Colton…they should talk to him.”
After turning on the shower, Remy looked at Carson, smirking at his red cheeks. “I don’t know…they might not be comfortable with discussing it with your brother.”
“Oh, they will. All his patients love my brother…they will too…I know it.”
Remy chuckled at how flustered his mate was. Deciding to give Carson a break, he wrapped his hand around his mate’s cock and began tugging it. “Nice and hard…just the way I like it. Ready?”
Nodding, Carson let Remy lead him into the shower.

Remy was pulling on his pants when he heard Galen’s voice down below. Finishing quickly, he called to his mate, “I’m heading down to relieve Mrs. B. You’ll join me soon?”
Poking his head out of the bathroom, Carson replied. “As soon as I’m finished.”
Remy then backtracked to the bathroom and caressed his mate’s cheek. “Can’t wait until tonight…my turn to claim you.”
Carson’s eyes widened, his cock rising again at the thought of Remy buried deep inside him. Just knowing his mate wanted to claim him, ticked his number one sexual fantasy box. Growling, he said, “Don’t know how a warlock claims his mate but I sure hope it involves fucking.”
Standing with his hand on the doorknob, Remy looked over his shoulder, smirking, “Let’s just say, you won’t be disappointed.”
Holy fuck! Shit, I wonder how soon his brothers will go to bed?
Returning to their bedroom, Carson’s eyes zeroed in on the bed, picturing himself on his hands and knees getting pounded by his mate.
There wasn’t time for him to rub one out, no matter how much his cock called to him, so Carson turned away, grabbing his clothes instead.
Once dressed, he checked his phone, finding a missed call from Hunter.
Hitting the call back button, Carson waited, wondering what he wanted.
“Congratulations on your mating, Carson,” Hunter said as soon as he answered his cousin’s call.
“Uh, thanks,” replied Carson.
“Listen, I know you’re busy…” Hunter began .
“No, I’m not…I mean, yeah I’m...” Carson said.
“Fionn doesn’t want to stay in the chateau,” explained Hunter, “so I was wondering if there’s an empty cottage we can use instead.”
“There is…two of them in fact,” replied Carson, “they’re listed as guest cottages. According to the documents Penn gave me, Fionn’s father let visiting business associates use them. When do you need one?”
“Right away, if possible. This place is bringing up a lot of bad memories for my mate.”
“Okay, I’ll send you an email with pictures. Pick the one you want,” Carson offered.
“Thanks.”
Ending the call, Carson started to leave, his mind on arranging new quarters for Fionn and Hunter, but before he reached the door, his phone rang. Answering he asked, “What else, Hunter?”
“Carson? It’s Jackson.”
“Oh, sorry…I thought Hunter had forgotten…never mind,” Carson replied, before a shot of fear went through him. “Is Mom okay?”
“She’s fine,” Jackson assured, “I just want to congratulate you on your mating.”
“How did you know? Did you speak to Hunter?” asked Carson.
“Yeah,” Jackson said, “I called him about his uncle’s meeting with Josiah and he told me about Remy. Oracle’s leaving to go to France. She should be there tomorrow.”
“Oh fuck, Oracle…” muttered Carson .
“Ahh, yeah…and she wants to speak to Remy too,” Jackson said.
“Shit…I haven’t told him about Oracle. I haven’t even told him about our pack and the gifts the Fates gave to everyone. Fuck!”
“Have you bitten him?”
“Yes,” Carson said, grateful his brother didn’t crack a joke about sex.
“Good, then you’re free to tell him everything,” Jackson said. “I recommend you do it before Oracle arrives, otherwise he might view it as keeping a secret. Colton learned that lesson the hard way.”
“I know. I will, promise.”
“Good,” Jackson said.
“I’m assuming Oracle is coming to tell me what my gift will be…do you know what it is?” Carson asked.
“No, I don’t,” replied Jackson. “She can’t reveal it to anyone before she tells you and your mate. And that’s my other reason for calling. Will you permit Hunter to sit in with the three of you?”
“I don’t have a problem with it but I should ask Remy first before I give you an answer.”
“Of course,” Jackson said. “I’ll send Hunt a message and once you’ve run it past Remy, you can let him know.”
“Thanks, I’ll do that.”
“Hey, please give my congratulations to Remy too. I can’t wait to meet him.”
“I will. Anything else?”
“Nope, that’s it. ”
“Okay…gotta run. Say hello to everyone and give my nephews and niece a big hug from me. Bye.” Hanging up with his brother’s chuckles ringing in his ear, Carson dashed downstairs, skidding to a stop when Galen jumped out at him from behind a chair, brandishing a sword.
“Stick up your hands,” Galen shouted.
Trying hard not to smile, Carson did as ordered. “Don’t hurt me, please!”
“Did you got him?” Eamon yelled as he joined them.
“Yup. I’m gonna make him walk the plank,” Galen said.
“Nooo, you can’t do that to Carsso! Remee will be mad!”
“Captain Galen,” Carson began. “Please don’t make me do that!”
“Hey, I’m captain too,” shouted Eamon. “And I say you don’t hafta!”
“You can’t be captain cuz I’m captain!” yelled Galen.
“Hey,” Carson interjected, knowing a full-blown argument was imminent, “who’s going to be the commander?”
“What’s a commander?” asked Galen.
“Well, the captain depends on him to carry out his orders,” Carson explained. “A commander is responsible for making all the other pirates do what the captain wants.”
“That’s me,” Eamon said. “Gally’s always telling me what to do.”
“Right, so you’re Commander Eamon,” Carson said .
Nodding, Eamon grinned before taking off at full speed, heading for the kitchen, yelling. “Remee, I’m a commander. A commander!”
Carson grinned as Eamon’s shouting was finally muffled after the kitchen door closed behind him. Looking down at Galen, he said, “Well, Captain Galen, why do you want me to walk the plank?”
Lowering his sword, Galen studied Carson for a minute before saying, “Are you going to hurt Remee?”
Remembering what his mate told him about Galen’s uneasiness, Carson knelt down and looked into the young captain’s eyes before holding up his hand. “I swear, I will never do anything to hurt Remy.”
Galen stared at Carson, fear and anguish reflected in his face. He wanted to trust him but after what happened to his parents, he found it hard to believe any grown up except his brother and Mrs. B. “What are you?”
“I’m a wolf shifter,” Carson said. “Do you know what that means?”
Galen shook his head.
“It means I can change into a wolf.”
“How?” Galen asked.
“I have a different kind of magic than you. It allows me to become a wolf.”
“Show me!” demanded Galen.
“I will, I promise,” Carson said, “but after dinner, okay? When Remy can be with you.”
“Why? ”
“Because I want to show him, too,” Carson said, “and he might be scared so I figure if you’re with him, he’ll feel safe.”
“I’ll protect Remee,” Galen boasted, puffing out his chest.
“I’m counting on it, Captain. Shall we go see if Remy needs any help?”
Nodding, Galen grabbed Carson’s hand, pulling him toward the kitchen.
