Chapter Thirteen

Dean

Iwas having the best dream. Beau was kissing me, his big, thick body pressed against mine, and I could feel him everywhere.

We weren’t having sex, but we were rubbing against one another.

My hands were in his hair while his fingers gripped my hips so tight they felt like they were going to leave bruises, and I wanted him to.

I wanted to feel Beau for days. I wanted to look in the mirror and know who I belonged to.

God, it felt amazing. The feel of his cock against mine, his tongue in my mouth and—

“Oh, shit.” I sat up, just as hot cum exploded in my underwear.

When was the last time I had had a wet dream?

Probably high school. And in Beau’s bed, of all places.

A smile tugged at my lips before I dropped back against the pillows.

It smelled like him in here. Like the laundry detergent he used and zesty aftershave.

My dick tried to perk up again until I heard the keypad in the other room and then the door in the living room opened.

What the fuck?

“I’ll just be a minute,” Cole called. Then I heard his footsteps as he began to walk down the hall.

Oh no. This was bad. Worse than bad. He was going to have to walk past his father’s room and here I was in Beau’s bed.

In his shirt. With cum in my underwear, and I was never going to get out of this.

Maybe I could hide. I was small enough to fit under the bed, or maybe in the closet.

But I wasn’t sure I had time to do that.

“Dean? What are you doing here?” Cole’s brows dipped as he stared at me.

Why wouldn’t my brain come up with something? I stared at Cole as he stared back at me, and I caught the way his gaze drifted down to the shirt on my chest, then back up to my face.

“So...” That wasn’t exactly the brilliant answer I thought it was. I felt my entire body heat with embarrassment.

“Did you need a break from your brother? I bet that it’s not easy sharing an apartment with him, even as adults.” Cole’s shoulders relaxed. “I was just stopping by to grab my Calculus book before I went for breakfast with my grandparents. You should meet them. They’re right in the living room.”

I couldn’t think of a worse idea in the history of ideas, but I nodded my head in agreement.

“Yeah, you know, I love my brother, but I couldn’t sleep on the couch for another night, and your father was kind enough to offer me his bed for the evening.

” And that sounded horrible coming out of my mouth.

“Just, uh, let me get dressed.” With the cum drying against my skin, which was going to feel fantastic.

“Awesome.” Cole’s face lit up like a Christmas tree. “I mean, cool. Let me just grab my book.”

I climbed from the bed, grabbed my jeans, and yanked them on.

I rushed into the bathroom, splashed some water on my face, and took it upon myself to use some of the mouthwash to freshen my breath.

I finger-combed my hair down as best as I could, but I still looked sex-rumpled and half asleep.

I tucked in the hockey shirt that was two sizes too big, took a deep breath, and walked into the living room to find Trish’s parents standing there with Cole.

“Grandma, Grandpa, this is Dean Frost. He’s friends with Dad, and he’s brothers with Maverick, who’s engaged to Jackson Olson, who is on the team with Dad.

You know, he lives a couple of floors down.

” Cole rambled out in one long sentence, his ears bright pink.

He grinned at me happily, and I couldn’t help but smile back at him.

I stuck out my hand. “It’s a pleasure.”

“Cole hasn’t stopped talking about you. I’m Don White, and this is my wife, Patty.” His grandfather shook my hand, followed by his grandmother.

When Patty smiled at me, I immediately knew that she knew. She knew that Beau and I were more than just friends. “Cole tells us that you’re visiting from California, Dean. How are you enjoying your time in Boston?” she asked.

“While I miss California, Boston has been great.” Sweat trickled down my back, and the cum in my briefs was beginning to itch against my skin.

“Spending time with Maverick again has been amazing. And getting to know Beau and your grandson, too, of course.” I had to stop talking. I was just digging a bigger hole.

Cole grinned at me. “You should come to breakfast with us.”

“Oh, no, I couldn’t impose.” I needed to take a shower. Pronto.

Cole shook his head. “You wouldn’t be. Right?” He looked at his grandparents with big, innocent blue eyes, and I knew they were going to agree with him. And that I was going to end up eating pancakes with these people. With cum stuck to my balls. Jesus Christ.

“Sweetie.” Patty placed a hand on Cole’s shoulder. “Why don’t we let Dean go take a shower, and then he can meet us back here, hmm?” Oh, she was good. She was really good, and I wasn’t sure if I liked her or if I should be scared of her. Maybe both.

Cole turned those eyes back on me. The ones that matched his fathers. “Please, Dean? You’ll love this place. They have the best pancakes with real maple syrup.”

See? Pancakes. I knew it.

I WAS NEVER MORE THANKFUL to shower, but maybe saying yes to breakfast had been a terrible idea.

Whatever shyness Cole had around me was completely gone.

He sat next to me at the restaurant while we ate pancakes and never stopped talking.

He was overly animated about his father’s hockey game last night, as well as the one his team had tomorrow night.

Did I watch his dad’s game? And did I want to come to his?

Then he was on to something else. Talking about how jealous his friends were about the photo he’d posted of us on his IG account, and that now they all wanted to meet me.

I might have thought it was cute if Patty wasn’t watching me with that look in her eyes.

I know what you’re doing with my son-in-law, Dean Frost. You want him to fuck you, don’t you? You want him to bend you over and stick his big dick inside of you. Wait, that’s probably not right.

“Dean?”

I hadn’t realized Cole was talking to me. “I’m sorry, what?” Was it hot in here, or was it me? It was definitely hot in here. Maybe it was my leather jacket.

“I asked if you liked your pancakes. They’re great, right?” He nudged my arm and grinned happily at me before he popped a bite of food into his mouth.

I gave him a smile. “The best.”

I honestly hadn’t taken more than a couple of bites myself.

I was itchy and nervous and couldn’t wait to get back to the apartment.

My phone kept buzzing in my pocket, and something told me that it was Beau.

That his son had told him about running into me this morning.

He was probably having a meltdown and going to tell me that whatever this was between us was over.

“Do you think you’ll stay here awhile, or head back to California?” Don asked, taking a sip of his coffee.

I wasn’t sure I wanted to go back there, if I were being honest. “I haven’t really given it much thought. My brother is here, and we’re making up for lost time.” And there was Beau. “We had a bit of a falling out, but we’re good now,” I added.

“Do you have any other siblings? What about your parents?” Patty asked.

I cringed. I knew she was only making conversation, but it wasn’t one I wanted to have.

When we first left Canfield, I had nightmares about the things our father did, and therapy had helped a lot.

“Maverick is my only sibling, and I’m the youngest. We, uh.

.. We don’t speak with our parents anymore.

Let’s just say we didn’t have the best childhood. ”

“I’m sorry to hear that.” Patty reached across the table to pat my hand. “You seem like a nice enough young man. I can see why Cole is smitten.”

Cole turned about fifty shades of red. “Grandma,” he hissed and ducked his head. “Don’t listen to her.”

“Let me take another picture of the two of you.” Patty held up her phone, but when Cole shook his head and tried to turn away, she sighed. And I felt bad. Because he was obviously embarrassed.

I leaned toward him. “I need a picture to put on my Instagram,” I told him.

“You know, to show off my new best friend.” Cole turned to look at me, uncertainty written on his face.

“What, are we not best friends? I mean, we’ve gone out to dinner and now breakfast. I’ve gone to one of your games, and I’ll be there tomorrow with my brother.

” Maverick was going to hate me for dragging him out, but tough shit.

“If that doesn’t make us besties now, I don’t know what does. ”

“Really?” Cole sat up, those blue eyes staring at me with hope in them. “You’re not just saying that, right? Just to please my grandmother?”

I shook my head. “No way.”

“Okay.” Cole grinned at me, and I saw what Beau might have looked like when he was sixteen.

Young, handsome, and a little unsure of himself.

Sure, Cole had curly brown hair, but everything else reminded me of Beau.

And I hated that I was probably going to break his heart when he found out that I wanted his father.

I put my arm around Cole’s shoulder to pull him closer to me for the picture.

He leaned in, and Patty took the photo. I asked her to text it to me, giving her my number, then quickly posted it to my IG.

Beau was going to see it and would either freak out or be chill about it. I hoped it would be the latter.

“You’re really the coolest person I’ve ever met.” Cole had his phone in his hand as he looked at our picture.

I smiled at his words as warmth pooled inside my belly. “I could say the same thing about you.”
