Epilogue
It was a night for celebration. Amazingly, the vote had passed, and Lord Ravensdale had removed his objections to Joseph and Glenda’s upcoming nuptials! There was a perfect sweetness to it all; Michael and Lilly were finally reunited.
As they dined in Lady Eleanor’s rather large formal dining hall, champagne glasses clinked and toasts were made for Michael and Lilly’s engagement and then again for Glenda and Joseph’s.
For practical purposes, the younger couple were going to make use of Michael and Natalie’s wedding plans and take their vows in the grand cathedral on the same day.
Natalie had sent a missive to Lilly and assured her adamantly that she was most definitely not heartbroken.
It had been Natalie who had broken the engagement.
I am so happy for you, Lilly! the young woman had written. I hope someday I shall marry for love too.
Throughout the meal, everyone asked Lilly and Michael when they might set a date. Lilly secretly smiled inside at this thought. For if she was correct, a hasty marriage would most likely be in store for them. But it wasn’t because she had to.
It was because she wanted to. She hugged the thought to herself as Michael—her Michael—laughed at something Danbury said. Catching her watching him, Michael returned her look with tenderness and love. Neither of them had any reason to hide their emotions tonight.
He was hers. She was his. Together, at last, they would have their happy ever after.
At last.

Did you love reading Lilly and Michael’s story? A Lady’s Prerogative is next in the Lord Love a Lady Series.
It’s not fair. Rakes are almost always given the benefit of the doubt, but debutantes who take the slightest misstep get sent to the country, which is where Lady Natalie Spencer is stuck after jilting her betrothed one week before the wedding.
Frustrated with her banishment, in spite of trying to be a good girl all the time, she’s ready and willing to take a few chances with her reputation.
Luckily she has brothers and even luckier, one of them has brought home a friend, known rake and libertine, Garrett Castleton.
Recently coming into his title as the new Earl of Hawthorne, Garrett is determined to turn over a new leaf.
A break from the ton is exactly what he needs while setting his resolve to give up the roguish lifestyle he had adopted years ago.
In other words, he wants to be good and she wants to be bad. Will either of them succeed?
Sparks fly as they both war with society’s strict standards and their growing attraction to each other. Can love work out a compromise between the two, or will their stubbornness get them into even more trouble?
A Lady’s Prerogative.
