15. Saxon #2

I picked a dusty purple with a gray undertone.

Blue was for the ceiling, and I thought he meant it to be like the sky.

I chose a robin’s egg blue, which was soft yet still striking, especially against the purple.

I also figured he should have a break between the ceiling and the wall with a little molding.

I chose a simple one as well as a miter box with a saw.

Since his ceiling wasn’t very high, I thought it might look cool to put it on the ceiling edge instead of the wall.

That way, he’d get the break and decoration without making the walls seem shorter.

I tossed in rollers, tape, and plastic to cover the floor, along with all the other things we’d need.

Since we still hadn’t gone to the grocery store earlier, I stopped and picked up a rotisserie chicken, bread, and salad stuff. That was a quick but good meal.

We ate at the kitchen island and then headed into the playroom to get started.

At first, the guys talked and interacted as we planned how to tackle the painting and the molding.

They weren’t in their little space at all.

They seemed to flow in and out of it as needed without really thinking about it, especially Donny.

I started with the molding, since I had experience with it. I’d helped friends and family with similar tasks in the past. Donny and Kay started rolling out the ceiling.

“I like this blue, Saxon. It’s soothing. I was afraid it might be jarring, but it’s not. You got the perfect color.” Kay rolled some out.

“Thanks. I liked it.”

“I like it too, Daddy.” Donny was slipping back into his little persona. Before I thought much about it, they were both cutting up and getting paint everywhere.

“Guys…” It was too late. They had blue all over the place, including on themselves. “I think you need another shower.”

“Oh! Let’s take a bath. The hall bath has a weally big tub,” Kay said. He often followed Donny into little headspace.

“Sounds like a good idea. I’ll clean this up while you go get the bath ready.

” The ceiling was nearly done, and the molding was all cut.

I smoothed out the rough spots on the ceiling and finished the last bit.

I wanted to do more, but I heard the boys splashing in the other room.

I cleaned up the paint and took the brushes outside.

I walked through the main living spaces to the back slider.

There was an enclosed room off the back like a sunroom.

Half of it was set up like a dining room with a table and chairs, and the other half was a more comfortable seating area that looked out over the pool.

He really needed the table out there, since the island inside was the only place to eat.

After running the paint tray, rollers, and brushes under the water hose, I headed back inside to check on the boys.

They were playing with tub toys and splashing around. Some kind of game of chase with boats was going on, but one of the so-called boats was actually a rubber duckie. Donny swooshed it through the water, calling it SS Duck-boat. How quick he was to play and have fun was sweet.

“Who’s winning?” I hated interrupting the game, but I also wanted in on the action.

“Kay’s winning. He has a speedboat. The SS Duck is a tug.”

“I said you could have the fast one, Donny.”

Donny splashed Kay. “I like the tug.” He picked it up out of the water and squeezed it, and it spewed water out of a hole on the bottom, which made them both laugh.

“I like that you’re having fun, but you also need to get clean. Let me wash you.” I got on my knees beside the tub and grabbed a washcloth. After soaping it up, I washed their backs, arms, and legs. First one, then the other. This was what I’d been made for.

“I want to wash Kay.” Donny leaned forward and grabbed Kay’s dick and balls. “Right here.”

“That. That’s not washing…” Kay said, shoving his hips forward a little.

His fondling quickly shifted into a hand job as he slid his soapy hand over Kay’s cock. I reached down and fondled his balls, helping him along, until he came, squirting out in the water.

Donny laughed and stood, dripping water and soap.

“Careful, don’t slip.” I sat on the edge of the tub and put my arm around his thighs. “Maybe this will help.” I soaped up his cock and stroked him.

“I like standing up for this.”

Kay fondled his balls and tugged them a little until Donny came too. I held him up, not letting him fall when he trembled.

After that, they turned on the shower, washed their hair, and rinsed off. Nice and clean.

And tired.

We all scooted in together on the sofa. Kay didn’t have anything on his walls, making the place look open and airy, but also boring. “Kay…are you going to put stuff up on your walls?” I asked.

“Eventually. I haven’t had a ton of time.”

“Being a rockstar takes a lot. Well, seems that way.” I wanted to learn more about his life outside of what he did on stage.

“It does. It seems all glamorous, but it’s work.” He stroked Donny’s hair. “And a lot of being on the road.”

“You’re very different on stage.”

“What do you mean?” Kay asked.

“On stage, you’re all rockstar. Playing to the crowd. But off stage, you’re…well, not shy, but more reserved. And you let Donny take the lead a lot.”

“Uh, guess I do. I was the lead singer, but it was too much for me. I’m more introverted. I love music, and don’t get me wrong, I love performing, but on those huge stages, I’d rather be the guitarist. I think that’s similar to the rest of my life.”

“Mostly,” Donny chimed in. “Except in the studio and writing songs. It’s like he saves up his leadership for what really matters.

And he’s easy, ready to go along the rest of the time.

He needs to be a little and let go of control.

That’s why I’m glad you’re here, Saxon. I don’t want to be leader out of the office.

I’m not like only a lawyer; I’m running the business.

It’s stressful. When I’m home, I want to forget about the stress of the job and play. ”

“Hmm…I think I understand more.”

Donny snuggled in, but Kay sat up and looked at me. “What about you? Why are you a daddy? What are you like at work?”

“I have a very strong caretaker personality. I love helping people.”

“That’s why you’re a firefighter?”

“Mostly. I tried college, but it wasn’t for me. I thought I might be a doctor or something, but it was too much. When my friend’s brother, Colten, wanted to join the LAFD, I tagged along to see what it was about. The next thing I know, I’m applying.”

“How do you become a firefighter?” Donny mumbled the question into my chest, and I squeezed him a little.

“If you’re accepted, you have to go to fire academy. Then you’re a rookie for about a year. That’s like being on probation. A lot of people don’t make it through the academy. It’s a lot of physical training, but I loved that. I was always athletic, and the academy got me into super shape.”

Kay rubbed his hand along my abs and up my chest. “I like your shape. Thanks, Academy!”

It wasn’t usually Kay who made the jokes. He was obviously becoming more comfortable with me, and it warmed my heart.

The TV was on, but the volume was low, and we talked a little more until Donny started snoring, and Kay’s eyes were drooping. “Why don’t we go to bed?”

“Yeah. Tired.” Kay rubbed his eyes. “Come on, Donny.” He shook Donny’s shoulders.

He got up and stretched. Then they padded off to the bedroom, while I shut everything off and made sure the doors were locked. The boys were cute with oversized shirts and ankle socks. I imagined them wearing my shirts for jammies instead.

I crawled into bed, Donny moving me to the center, and we all wrapped up together with arms and legs entwined. With them being warm and cozy, it didn’t take long to doze off.
