Chapter 6

“What a day,” Sienna said on what sounded like a deep breath of satisfaction.

“Fuck yeah.” Justine pushed herself up and lay next to her, her body glued to Sienna’s warm side.

“You’re pretty good at that.” Sienna planted a kiss on Justine’s temple. “I have to hand it to you.”

“It was exactly the foreplay I needed.” A slow pulse throbbed between her legs.

Sienna’s body shook as she chuckled. “Not in a million years would I have imagined this when I met you this afternoon.” She examined Justine’s face as if to ask, ‘what about you?’

Justine just shook her head. Of course, she hadn’t imagined this. At least she hadn’t ended up in bed with the actor playing her—that would have been a too disturbing. Although, truth be told, being in bed with the actor playing Rochelle wasn’t exactly straightforward either. Rochelle had been her lover—more than her lover. It might have been a long time ago, but Justine had loved her—had truly let herself love another woman without the shame and guilt her upbringing had instilled in her about that—and that meant a lot to her.

“Maybe I have a subconscious weakness for movie stars,” Justine joked. “So it’s a good thing I don’t mix with your crowd very often.”

“That’s about to change though, isn’t it?”

Sienna was right. This was only the beginning. Gimme Shelter would start shooting soon and it was beginning to dawn on Justine that she might have slightly underestimated what delving into her past would do to her. But she had a hot actor in her bed whose sweet, most intimate scent lingered on her lips, and whose cries of orgasm had just echoed through her bedroom.

“Yeah,” Justine said, then prevented Sienna from saying any more by kissing her. God, she loved kissing her, this almost stranger she barely knew—she’d have to watch some of her movies now. She was curious.

Sienna’s hand sneaked up Justine’s neck, her fingertips curling into her hair. Their kiss grew more intense, as did the thrumming between Justine’s legs.

“Would you like me to lick you too?” Sienna asked when they caught their breath.

“I wouldn’t say no to that.” Justine couldn’t suppress the grin tugging at the corners of her mouth.

Sienna’s brown eyes sparkled with delight or maybe it was desire. Justine didn’t know, all she knew, all she could be sure of, was that Sienna was breathtakingly beautiful. The deep dark warmth of her eyes. That sculpted jawline. Her expressive gaze. The hot glow of her skin.

Maybe what tipped her over the edge the most, what had perhaps been the first unconscious step for them ending up here, was how Sienna had been visibly shaken by visiting the shelter. It told Justine, without words needing to be spoken, that she would have the right kind of sensitivity—as well as the pluck she’d shown all day—to play someone as amazing as Rochelle. And to co-star in the movie of Justine’s life. Because no matter how much Justine liked to pretend that it wasn’t a big deal, that she was only doing it for the money she could raise for the shelter, it was a big thing in her life. The evidence of that was in her bed right now. The kisses being strewn onto the delicate skin of her neck were a direct result of Justine saying yes to that movie. Life could be funny like that.

Sienna kissed her way down, lingering for long minutes at Justine’s breasts, kissing and caressing with a tenderness that made more warmth blossom in Justine’s chest. Maybe this night with Sienna Bright was some sort of a weird and unexpected full circle moment, because of who she was going to be in Gimme Shelter . Justine preferred not to waste her precious time thinking about things like that, but maybe she wouldn’t have a choice.

Sienna kissed a path farther down, her braids fanned out on the pale skin of Justine’s belly.

She might have meant it as a joke earlier, but fuck, it was a thrill to have Sienna go down on her. To feel her warm lips on her inner thighs. To have this hot young thing—as Rochelle had called her when the casting had been announced—lavish all of her attention upon her.

It was exhilarating to be in bed with Sienna, to have made her come, to flirt with her, and share this unforeseen pleasure with her. And yet, as soon as Sienna’s tongue touched against Justine’s clit, she knew it was a futile effort. She knew that a climax had, somehow, inexplicably, disappeared out of reach. This had started happening a few years ago. Not often enough for Justine to worry about at her age. But she had absolutely not expected it to happen tonight, in bed with Sienna Bright of all people. Perhaps the circumstances had a greater effect on her than Justine was able to admit to herself. Either way, right now, it was what it was.

“Hey,” Justine whispered, while softly caressing the back of Sienna’s head. “It’s okay.”

Sienna looked up at Justine from between her legs, her face a big question mark.

“It’s, um—it’s okay. Come here. I’ll explain it to you.”

“Explain what to me? I was just getting started.”

“I know, but, um—” She looked into Sienna’s eyes. “It’s not about a climax for me tonight.”

“Are you sure?” Sienna tilted her head as if to say, ‘I’m up to any challenge if you’ll let me.’

“I’m sure.” Justine held out her arms.

Sienna crawled up toward her. “Are you okay?” she asked, her voice soft with concern.

“I’m fine, but I’m fifty-four. Sometimes… I just know it’s not going to happen and that’s absolutely fine. I love being here with you. It’s more than enough for me.”

“Maybe you have a toy we can use? A little something to grease the wheels, so to speak.”

Justine chuckled. “Hey, this is not about you. You know that, right?” It certainly wasn’t about how gorgeous and attractive Sienna was.

“My ego’s not that fragile.” Sienna shot her the sort of smile that couldn’t be argued with. “But I’m here for you whenever you’re ready.”

“That’s sweet, but I think I’ll be just fine.”

“Oh.” Sienna knotted her thick eyebrows together. “This isn’t your suddenly indirect way of asking me to leave, is it?”

Justine shook her head. “I would love for you to stay. Please, spend the night with me.”

“So we can cuddle.” A gentle smile spread on Sienna’s lips.

“Why not?”

“There’s nothing wrong with some good old cuddling.” Sienna nestled herself in Justine’s embrace.

Justine hadn’t been lying when she’d said this was more than enough for her. She’d fucked up many a romantic relationship in her life, but she’d always have room for a warm body in her bed—and a beautiful woman in her arms.
