Chapter 14

Fourteen

T he brothers, in turn, seemed to take an even greater interest in Ren and her increasing closeness to Callum. Bastian and Grayson eyed her with an air of suspicion when they noticed how their interactions were charged with a tension she could neither understand nor ignore.

The glint in Callum’s eyes revealed a mix of curiosity, amusement, and a desire that mirrored her own. His touch, once cold and distant, became strangely enticing, enveloping her in his warmer nature.

Grayson and Bastian were definitely picking up on the change in their behavior around each other. The looks they gave her made her feel very ill at ease.

She began to distance herself from Callum whenever she thought they were around. He was not handling the matter well, but she felt she could not let them see her with him. She was afraid of the looks they gave her and what might happen if they found out. She sensed jealousy between them.

Ren also found that each brother offered a different kind of allure. Still an undeniable force regardless of her feelings she harbored for Callum.

Bastian’s authoritative demeanor masked a deep desire to serve. She had no idea where all of these buried desires were coming from. She felt herself turned on when he ordered her to make simple gestures. She wanted to serve him.

Grayson's cold, but captivating intellect and sharp wit drew Ren into a world beyond anything she would have imagined. He was always quick with his responses full of knowledge from times long gone by.

Callum’s compassionate nature gave way to a passionate intensity that often left her breathless. Ren often found herself imagining the others during the nights she’d spend with Callum.

She could feel Grayson wriggling around inside her head and her soul captivated by Bastian’s power. She wanted to feel that, even while the heat of Callum’s passion filled her heart with fiery lust.

That night after Callum had gone to sleep, she snuck out of his bed and into Bastian’s room. What she found and what she did in that moment would begin a new chapter.
